  • I still can not believe the later models had 4G63 engines.

  • and 25yrs later these Ponys are long gone the way riding of actual ponies is...

  • I don`t know why.Somehow, they use Japanese thing to TVcommercial....

Why?Do they want to copy Japanese thing?

  • @claymationpilotshots

    Hyundai is Korean, not Japanese.

  • the 1985-1989 Hyundai Pony was assembled in

    Ulsan, South Korea

  • Lol... I was 8 when this ame out.

  • 0:07 New Suspension and EFI engine

  • 0:12 X-CAR

  • These aren't made by Mitsubishi Mirage and aren't the exact car as the Mirage. They are Hyundais, but Hyundai did use engines licensed from Mitsubishi (same 1.5 that went into the Colts/Mirages). Mitsubishi also imported these into North American and called it the 'Precis'.

  • @justin1138

Yes to replaced a worst Lancer Champ from Thailand is going to Canada with Chrysler brand of Canada

  • It's made in Mitsubishi, so Manufactured in Korea...

  • it looks a nice familiar car...but it is too squared

  • このクルマ徳大寺有恒氏によればエンジンは三菱のセコハン技術らしくて

  • Pony EXCEL!

  • SHIET! IT LOOKS SO POWERFUL!!!

  • genius

  • pony EXcel!

  • pony, donkey....

  • it's mitsubishi MIRAGE...

  • @superdspec Not sure what Mistubishi called it in Japan, but in Australia, Mitsubishi built a 4 door sedan and 5 door hatch called the Colt. This stinker is a restyled Colt. When you look into the engine bay, there's mo mistaking the Mitsubishi engine, and so amy other things. A friend worked in a Hyundai dealer when they first came to Australia. The dash on these things started to curl up at the corners in the midday sun after 6 WEEEKS! Have improved, but still have a lot to learn as a company

  • awesome commercial

  • what does seroon cachase mean

  • Needs more echo!

  • That's so dodgy how all the "handling" parts are sped up. God knows how slow they were actually driving!

  • the music is the same as triumph acclaim advert, well it sounds like it:P

  • yo tengo un excel pony 93 pero este como toda la familia pni es grandioso

  • Well.... this brings back memories.... used to own a Pony (UK) as above. Mitsubishi powertrain, and 5 speed gearshift- well actually 4 speed with electronic 5th shift. One of the most reliable cars I have owned. No longer with me, as very good in accidents too- saved me- but car right off....

  • Pony EXcel!

  • whats up with those people talking in echo, same things happens in daewoo and kia commercials...

  • They all sound pretty militaristic to me. But some of the older ones are worse still.

  • In Australia the first mitsubishi powered excels were shocking, but the later "X3" excel was much better and the twin cam model had a bit of go. Not a bad car really.

  • These Korean commercials are so disturbing lol. "POOONY EXXXCELLLL!!" This was the first Hyundai model to make it over to the United States, and it was known as just Excel (since the Pony model was never sold here). I don't know how these cars held up in their home country, but for many years to come Hyundais in the US had a reputation for being pieces of SHIT.

  • fuck you gringo puto!!!

  • mexican???

  • yes
