  • I personally think all 3 versions of this song are great in their own way. The version by Gimp (Tomas' first band) is a more mellow version. This version, when he was in Catch 22, has that distinct youthful energy to it. And Streetlight Manifesto's version is more refined and technical sounding.

  • Sound quality sucks, but I love the song regardless, so this vid gets props.

Catch was amazing before Tom split to form Streetlight, and nowadays I don't like Streetlight or Catch, but I really can't foresee myself EVER turning my back on the original Keasbey Night album by Catch 22. I first heard this shit way back when I was in middle school, and I fell in love with it so much that it has affected my musical taste to this very day.

  • i like a bunch of ska bands but catch is all time favorite

  • For anyone who doesnt want to scroll through the comments to find livelifes comment here it is *drumroll please* \

    weenerz

    big weenerz

  • I LOVE Catch but I gotta rate this bad.... it sounds awful! it's worse than mp3!!!

  • @doolb666 i belive it does sir :D

  • my life story :/

  • mmm trumpets

  • the best catch22 songs

are the ones with trumpets :D

  • @HoLycOwlol1 idk if u feel that way or ur just saying cuz u think they all do but not all of them do haha Xb

  • is it just me or does this song give off the insane urge to skank like maniac!?!?!

  • @clapins1

first of all catch 22 started before streetlight and then catch 22's singer tomas left and started streetlight and they covered an entire album from catch 22 so they didnt "steal" anything so get your facts straight so you dont look like a dumbass.

second of all if you hate catch 22 sooo much then get the hell off their videos and go listen to streetlight

  • @Austinpez96 Yea you have a point. But even still, I didn't know about Catch 22. Just now today checking them out...and they suck. Just saying. Not trolling. I'll be leaving now to Streetlight lol

  • @Austinpez96 actualy they didnt even cover catch's album since the lead singer of streetlight was the one who wrote the catch album in the first place, so not really a cover just a upgrade (actualy seems like theirs less energy in the streetlight version but whatever)

  • You're retarded. Catch 22 came first, and the lead singer is the same person. He wrote the songs.

  • i would like to buy this album... but idk which to get. Streetlight or Catch 22? I'm new to both bands.

  • @KablamBeats both, its good to have originals but it doesnt hurt to hear new twists or solos

  • @KablamBeats streetlight!

  • @KablamBeats

They are almost the same, streetlight is better in my Opinion, the thing is Streetlight is going to be making better music the the future due to Tomas Kalnoky.

  • if someone writes a song then it is impossible for them to cover. as long as thomas kalnoky is singing it, its a rendition, not a cover

  • Gimp Version > Streetlight Version > Catch 22 Version

  • this sums up my life haha

  • The funny thing here is that supernothing was originally written by kalnoky when he was in a band called gimp, this was way before catch or streetlight came along. So the catch 22 version AND the streetlight version are both covers.

Also, streetlight brings a more polished and cleaned up take on keasby nights (in my opinion) while catch just has that infectious energy about them. Two different approaches to a fantastic album! Dont hate, appreciate!

  • I listened to this song and I felt my period of old days. This song came in my mind then I found this upload here now.

  • A_W_E_S_O_M_E !!!

  • such a GREAT song!

  • catch 22 does the original, streetlight covers there material.

  • @smokedontcry technically, catch22 playing anything off keasbey knights is pretty much a cover if think about it. Tomas Kalnoky(streetlight) wrote the lyrics. Streetlight Manifesto was pretty much forced into recording keasbey knights

  • @goodtimesontoob Well he wrote it while he was still in catch 22 so its kind of like streetlight is covering it.

  • @Carpenella yea but he wrote it. what i mean is that modern catch 22 is covering their own songs because it doesnt have kalnoky in it. its kinda like streetlight and catch are covering their own music................................. just streetlight is less of a cover

  • streetlights version is better... so I think^^

  • The original version of this song is the best.

  • and dont ask me why am here cause i was just comparing ...

  • gimp and streetlights were good... this is pretty bad like bad

  • @vusa69 no this version and gimps are the best streetlights version of the entire keasbey nights album other than walking away and maybe a few others are worse than the catch 22 originals

  • @ernestryles this sounds like shit.

  • Oh man this song is so great:)

  • Yeah, this pretty much sums up my life lol.

  • gimp FTW

  • Just found out about these guys from some one at my school today before class. They are pretty cool. Despite the fact that I'm a real metalhead, I think I might like Ska a little more. Catch 22 is pretty cool.

  • search Streetlight Manifesto.

  • Gimp, Catch 22, Streetlight Manifesto, and Bandits of Acoustic Revolution is all creations of Tomas Kalnoky!!! yea people!!! and not to mention rivalry between catch22 and streetlight, you people dont get that Tomas made them known!!! Catch22 is nothing without him!!

    i make no sense :D

  • uhh yeah actually you do

  • it's okay, but streetlight's sound's better in the way that they don't sound as 'punk'.

  • horrible quality

  • What Kalnoky wrote in Catch is almost a different language when you compare it to a gypsy sounding streetlight song

  • lmao i like gimps version

  • Gimp was Tomas. As was Catch 22. and Streetlight Manifesto.

I think we should all worship Tomas Kalnoky as the god of ska-punk.

  • There is a Facebook group for Kalnokyism lol.

  • and BOTAR

  • @5U64RC4K35

lol you jipped off my comment a bit lol jk and you forgot BOTAR :D

  • Exactly. It is alllllll Thomas!

  • i agree with drummer0113 tomas kalnoky made catch 22 he wrote and recorded all of keasby then left for art school. without him catch 22 is just an average ska band

  • Can I say this.

Its not Catch 22 or Streetlight Manifesto

    Its just Tomas Kalnoky

  • botar should cover this

  • I like both catch 22 and Streetlight manifesto. but Catch 22's Keasbey knights is far superior to SM's. I like the rawness, SM's is too refined or whatever. FUCKIN SHIT FUCK ASS DICK QUALITY SUCKS

  • like them both ska rules!

  • Alright, no more streetlight comments. Streetlight was meant to be a superband of sorts, that is all about talent, not the same kind of energy that catch has. Honestly, they both are better at some things, but get beaten buy the other in something. Just get over it, Catch 22 DOES NOT = Streetlight manifesto and vice versa

  • I like all of them! I mean 3 of them:))

  • only song i like so far from catch 22 i think streetlight manifesto sounds better =®

  • catch 22 keasbey nights is better

  • amen.

  • Keasby Nights is definitly my favorite Catch 22 album

  • they are both awesome. if you dont like one. DON'T FUCKING LISTEN TO IT. shit you make it seem like someone is holding a gun to your head making you listen to it.

  • I don't get why people cant enjoy both versions/bands. They both make and play some of the best music I have had a chance to hear, and for me, that is enough.

  • I don't listen to much of streetlights stuff, but I definitely think that the Keasby Nights album by Catch is way better

  • Streetlight sucks!!! These guys are nothing without Tom.

  • waddya meann

  • catch 22 is way better and i like the song when the footsteps die out forevor great song

  • streetlight manifestos great in all but catch 22 classic meaning their timeless

  • i like keasbey nights better from catch 22. but i loooooove everything goes numb from streetlight

  • wow, streetlight pwns catch 22

  • Catch 22 are og don't hate

  • lol some of the foos from catch 22 are in streetlight manifesto

  • Dude fuck that shit catch 22 had raw vocals and badassery. SM is too refined. This was like 1998 man, not 2006

  • i agree with streetgangtm a lot, Streetlight is too clean. I still like streetlight, but i love catch

  • hahah, FAIL

///skankin to the rythym of the OLD-SKOOL CATCH 22 by my side!!

  • gimp's version is soo much better.

But whatever still love catch22&&streetlight. <3.

  • was streetlight manifesto before or after this?

or am I just an idiot and they're the same band?

  • after

  • they came after but the singer is with streetlight and umm streetlight are far superior...tho dont get me wrong catch 22 is a great bnd nonetheless

  • tomas kalnoky wrote this song and then recorded it with his high school band gimp. he then formed catch 22 and re recorded it and then after going to college formed streetlight manifesto and re-re recorded it.

he also has a side band called bandits of the acoustic revolution.

  • Just played this at a gig last night with my ska band.

First time looking at the music, and it was fucking bomb.

    I love my trumpet.

  • i like Catch 22, but the real genius in this song is Tomas Kalnoky. He is truly amazing, and he wrote every aspect of this song, along with the entire album.

  • fucking love catch 22.

  • great song. Can't stop listening

  • for real though, I just wanna have a good time, doesnt everyone else? Whys it gotta be so difficult? Im not saying things should change, cause they prolly wont, but we're all here, so we could at least TRY to get along. Now Im in agreement with kaelans, lets all go mosh and jam half stoned and drunk. Thats my favorite thing to do.

  • forces of evil is reel big fish by the way.

but theres the mad caddies, mighty mighty bosstones, less than jake, save ferris, and an assortment of others. you just gotta find 'em

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHAH. flameboy is 12 years old.

  • One of the greatest ska bands ever!

  • lol i consider them all the same cause they all almost the same just like on person different

  • Amazing song. but 9mm and a three piece suit is their best. :P

  • opinion

  • one of the best songs ever! (in my option)

  • Ive been on all these frappen pages where people are dissin and defending shit. I say if youre complaining about music then you're the one that sucks. If you really got beef then go to a show and mosh. Now whiners stop whining and I say we all go party, drinks on me!

  • fuck yes! someone who understands what music is about.

  • i love you

    lets mosh

  • Both versions or keasbey have their strong points, but I prefer the streetlight one, for that version of sergio, the improved vocals and overall better sound quality.

  • ska ska ska

  • ????

  • livelife....that is the best comment ive ever seen. im still fucking laughing.

  • You are near godly, my friend.

  • i think Gimp did the best version, this song worked best as a lengthy, soft punk anthem.

But I like Catch 22's and Streetlight's versions too.

  • I actually don't really like the gimp version at all. This is my favorite, I personally preferred Catch 22's Keasby to Streetlight's, but then I thought Everything Went Numb was even better. I'm holding out for a full lenght BOTAR album, that would be amazing.

  • How about...TWO full length BOTAR albums? Fuck yeah, go check out the Streetlight site. :)

  • gimp ftw

  • NICE STUFF I LOVE SKA STUFFS

  • Good song....shit quality

  • Song is good slow or fast. long live ska :P

  • Very True.

  • mmmmm ska gives me a boner:)

  • not as good as streetlight's version...but gimp's version kicks all their asses

  • ye

gimp has the best version then streetlight then this

  • fuck yeah

  • no not even catch 22 did all these origanaly and the sound is kinda diffrent catch does it better but streetlights is ok

  • idunno wtf you are talking about, first their was gimp's version, and if you think not then you're fucked...then was catch 22's version...then streetlight's version on the re-recording of keasbey...all im saying is gimp's is da best...then streetlight...then catch...catch's sucks...the recording is haggard...and yah

  • i never heard of gimp but i looked them up and ok ur right but i actuly like this version better it just ha a shitty quality in this video

  • OI Mate thanks for posting it up. Kepp the Ska alive.

    Cheers

    -Kujo.

  • such a bad quality..

  • i like c22s version of keasbey nights

streetlights seems a little dumbed down

    might just be me though

  • yeah i like keasby nights, and this song is my only ones i enjoy lisnteing too from catch 22, i like streetlights tunes alot better

  • cool song ska-punk is the best i could imagine :P but streetlight is better ( i know that slm was founded by some catch 22 guys :) )

  • i totally agree

  • lawl peeps in band at my school did the same thing

  • During Band we figered out how to play this song.

  • hey ppl comment this video i havent seen this version of this song on youtube so i had to put it on

  • Thanks for the post, this is a great song, although i must admit i prefer the streetlight version
