  • A very powerful song -

  • this song really hits home .... i survived a very violent marrage.

  • the debut album which this appears on is so wrongly underrated.

  • Holy shit!

Excuse my language, but this has just riduced me to tears. I've only ever known Tracy Chapmans really famous songs, and I just came aroudn this one in related videos.

I remeber this growing up, when my uncle Brad (RIP) used to dance around singing it.

    Thank you so much.

Brought back so many memories and tears.

And thanks as always, to Tracy <3

  • who was singing along?

  • best live artist ive ever herd...

doesnt even need an instrument to sound brilliant.

    high5's to Tracy

  • This song has never lost its chilling ability to remind me of the 13 year relationship that I barely got out of.

  • grandissima!!!

  • what her name

  • tracy chapman...amazing woman!...going to see her soon

  • brilliant song

  • I didn't know that she has performed this song live.. Great voice like always .)

  • She's so amazing. i love her music

  • Great voice. Are there any more songs like that WITHOUT music ?

  • I cannot think of any for Tracy Chapman but Tori Amos' Me and a Gun is acapella.

  • tracy and her music are wonderful! i love her song thats been mixed with k'naan it is awesome!

  • july '89 edinburgh, ive still got the scar jj..lol

  • I like this song. As an adult child of an alcholic this song relates to me pretty well. However not with the police because I don't have to do that. But my dad does yell and scream ALOT and its scary.

  • great song

  • i think this song as great by nikki

  • tracy apavora!

pena que uma retardada tava cantando junto

    va se fode

  • You can throw love songs(Bob dylan)and we say wow and we hear an african american woman who was considered for along time the mule the western society sing lyrics that shines knowledge in our ears that things are still not okay there is a darkness or shadow that comes with every light and that it is up to us as human beings to take a stand and start a revolution. That is when people start moving rather than just listening.

  • i luv it how can u do a song unaccompanied without it changing pitch? shes amazing

  • No, not tracy, someone was singing along. I take it back anyway.

  • What do you mean - no, not tracy? And what do you take back?

  • I take back "That lady talking ruined it." And I meant No, I didn't mean the way Tracy was singing. I was never talking about Tracy to begin with. Doesn't even matter now.

  • o right well i wasn't replying to you - i had a completely different statement that i made

  • That lady talking ruined it.

  • yeah deffinatly i agree

  • Yea i was on that concert in italy Panna festival i really like knock on heavens door with Ben Tailor

  • i absolutely adore this song! tracy chapman, what a vocie, what a powerful message! ^:)^

I think it's one of Tracy Chapman's best song, but I also adore Fast Car.

I enjoyed the show very much. She had a great performance that night.
