@ErikRuggeri I prefer music done in it's original language. Partially because the translations won't rhyme unless the song is reworked around the original intent, though that has a way of completely changing the song. The English version of Starblazer's OP had.. well very cliche lyrics and I think the meaning of the original Japanese lyrics were deeper.

Imagine if this theme was adopted by the Imperial Japanese Navy during its glory days... As much as I like Gunkan March, Uchuu Senkan Yamato has a much better "martial" melody in it.

@Barricade Yah, biut that's not hard at all. The Eclipse class Super Star Destroyer's eclipse 1 and 2 are much more destructive then the death star. Then there is the Sun Crusher which could obliterate entire star systems in a singe shot, the Galaxy Gun which fired anti matter misses through hyperspace to any other point in the galaxy... The list goes on.

Hell they blew up the original Enterprise in ST2 as a tribute to how the Yamato died in Final Yamato. And then the Yamato beat that in they rebuilt the remains of the hull and took it out to fight again!
