No I meant Bill Harry. Wyman took them down to St.Paul D'Vance to run some tracks, and yes they had it all, three of the most talented and business savvy musicians of the time. But Wyman was very good to them.
The external forces were the true culprit in the demise of a classic 70s group, time has attested to that fact.
By Bill you mean Wyman right? He produced some Arrows tracks, The band was great with Terry involved, and "what if" they had actually released some of those Wyman produced tracks with the TV show. From all I've read Jake's wife Lorna was the beginning of the end, the first kiss of death of many for this band. They didn't last more than a year after this performance splitting in 1977.
Guitarist Terry Taylor, here with the Fender Stratocaster, is now a guitarist with Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings. He recently played with the RK's as opening act for Led Zeps London reunion gig.
Yea, i read that too. I cried. It was the saddest thing ever. Poor Merrill. The man was practically deprived of artistic growth because of his bastard dictator-like manager. This man deserves a second chance, when God turns us all young again, I hope he get to become much more famous, cause he deserves it. And I hope he gets to do HIS kind of music, whatever that may be.
Guitarist Terry Taylor was the real leading musical force in this band around this time. He was really pushing singer Merrill into a new and harder musical mode. It's a pity they were black listed by the industry just when they were peaking as a group. A frigging tragedy.
Hmmm. Chicken or the egg? Alan Merrill was making records before Eddie Money. I think Merrill's a far better singer. Still I hear what you're saying on this song, Skylar.

Bill was very good the them, we had a lot of feed back from him.
Mickey was a hard task master but yes as Alan mentioned to be a while back. the big
"WHAT IF" it all started to fall apart with the entrance of Lorna, Sorry Jake!
The crowds on tour were outragious. Alan had already seen some of that in Japan as a solo artist.
"Streak" was the forshadowing of the Arrows. With the TV show Mickey did some things that were "provocative". Which didn't help.
We have these! Yes Alan still has it.

This band should have been huge. They had it all. It's good that these video clips still exist.

Bill Harry's site has been changed and consolidated to one site, Merseybeat.
It has some Arrows stuff there.

Right, this band has a very strange story behind the music. It should be a VH1 story.

Why were they blacklisted? That is sad.

The whole story is told on Bill Harry's Rock and Pop Shop site. Classic songs section (I love rock n roll).
It's a great article.

Yeah that's a great story, written by the Arrows singer. Bill Harry's site is really informative about lots of stuff in fact.

He does every kind of music and it is all good.
Plus, he is an exceptional human being.

I don't care what age an artist is, I want to hear good music. If Alan still has it, I want to hear it!
