They are meant to fall flat. He's there to make sure they aren't arching their backs as they are falling. If he actually caught her as all you people think he should have, she could have broken something or had internal injuries. What happens when you catch something in motion? think guys.

@LovePink121 he was making sure she fell straight, so she didn't really hurt herself! you know how its hard to catch something thats in motion? yeah, its hard. he really couldn't do anything. & if he did, she would lose alot of points.

@LMA629 Because it was an L10 meet, not elite (though Jaclyn is now elite and competed at nationals this summer). They only use the new scoring system for junior and senior comps as well as elite qualifiers.
