  • My soul is sucked up -- as in a vortex. I do not think this love will ever be known.

And I could make jokes with the rest & the best of you. But it's not worth it, and if you think it's a joke, well, then neither are you... ;)

  • I guess I'm waiting for my Ben Whishaw...*sighs*

  • @PsychedAsCheese i guess you are Lily hahahah

  • I want to find the scene where they just lay on the bed in a little ball D: does anyone know where that is?

  • I love love love this movie!

It's so sad, my heart hurt the whole time :'(

  • This scene truelu captures the purity of love that once was found back in those days, sad not anymore

  • who couldnt like THIS?!

  • I can't stop waching this, it's so beautiful <3

  • yo sigo diciendo que lo amo... y amo la pelicula... lo amo..

  • Campion has an unparalleled knack for capturing the language of the heart. If anyone here hasn't seen her "Sweetie" yet, drop everything and rent it.

  • My favorite scene of my favorite movie ...

  • this scene made me cry. i think that ben whishaw plays the perfect john keats, and is able to show how deeply john cared for fanny. It is a beautiful movie, set around beautiful inspirational people.

  • this really does move the seam within me, it really does ..... what a time it was.

  • Beautiful...nothing more to say, just...beautiful ♥

  • pure love

  • Beautiful scene.

  • This is definitely one of my most favorite scenes...and becoming one of my most favorite movies, ever. The quiet intensity of this scene along with the music, just makes my heart want to leap out of my chest. So moving and so beautiful.

  • I really would like to know where I can find this music, without Ben's voice. Anyone knows?

  • shivers...and the music is gorgeous!

  • The movie a bit hard to follow, and I found the ending to be disappointing, but the really romantic scenes like this made it worth the watch. :)

  • :( poff

  • I legal enjoyed expecilay legal watching this one! onlinehqmovies . com

  • This is such a beautiful and moving film. So heartbreaking!

  • I hate how he considered himself to be a failure..he is SO not a failure. I love his poetry. In every British Lit class I have ever taken in HS or in College he is one of the major areas of study. And I agree with Forestdweller, reading his letters makes you realize how genuinely he cared for her.

  • He didn't exactly think that- he knew the reviwers had damaged his reputation by their snobbery- it was because he was dying and of course unable to fullfill his full potential and marry Miss Brawnethat he felt so anguished.

  • He is a true genius! I'm glad his poems are on your lit courses! Have you read Miss Brawne's letters to his sister? They show how much she loved him.

  • I have not read those, I should.

  • Oh you will find them very interesting Sarcastic- you find the book on Amazon. it's called THE LETTERS OF FANNY BRAWNE TO FANNY KEATS.

  • Thank you very much for telling me about this : )

  • @Sarcastic07 yes.. but he wasn't so appreciated in his time. look at emily bronte for example and how disgusting many many people thought she was after writting 'wuthering heights' which is now a successful classic. lots of writers were considered crazy in these times. at least now john keats is being respected for the beauty of his words.

  • True.

  • i adore him.

  • the little girl is very cute

  • i'm pretty sure this is a thisbe and pyramus reference...makes the scene even more beautiful than it already is

  • I can't help it but watching the scene, where she knocks back and he's grasping and closing his eyes, it brought a tear to my eye, wishing that there would be someone out there who would feel such a surge of love for me in that amazing way. *sigh* lol

  • Read his letters to her- they show a man who had deeper feelings than most, he was truly magical.

  • @VonTeeseRose You're speaking out exactly what I think :)

  • Its a really intriguing clip. I liked the cinematography and use of shadows. What I liked that best was the background music. I think it will be a must see for all the romantics out there

  • Yes Sooty- it is beautifully shot, but feels like real life too- not "film like" if you know what I mean. I adore the music- it's gorgeous.

  • there's an intimacy in how their scenes are put together, i noticed. very touching! :)

  • It is extremely touching- I agree.

  • so poignant, simple and sweet just like Keats' poetry...

  • He was such a sweet lovely person

  • and wise beyond his years too, it's so sad that he died so young and all the poetry that was never written from such a genius!

  • He certainly was- his spiritual knowledge was amazing for a young man. His developments in his poetry and spirituality were very advanced in someone so young. He was probably an "old soul". I am enchanted by The Fall of Hyperion if only he had finished it..sigh.

  • that 'old soul' aspect was probably helped by all the death that he saw and basically watching his mother and brother die so slowly and painfully

oh and i read your comment on the Sherlock Holmes trailer: I agree, Brett was the best Holmes although I'm also a fan of Matt Frewer who did some TV movies as Holmes

  • Poor John- he experienced so much suffering. And he had such a kind heart- when he was very ill on his way to Italy on the ship he helped the other consumptives.

I haven't seen Matt Frewer as Holmes. I really like RDJ but I don't like the look of the film at all. Bright Star is so much better!

  • purpleshamrock17 - have you seen his life mask made by the artist Benjamin Haydon? He was 21 then but his face has such an "old soul" beauty to it. He looks young and yet mature at the smae time.

  • i love that.

  • It is stunningly romantic and beautiful and the music is so heart rendering. In fact this is true to life- there was indeed a wall between the two and before the Brawnes lived there and the Dilkes were there Mrs dilke used to knock on the wall to invite John Keats to tea. So it is very possible that Fanny and John knocked on the wall to each other.

  • This just shows, you don't always need a lot of dialogue in a scene, this is just beautiful!

  • This is so beautiful and I love the music in this scene!!!!

  • ooooooh!

  • <3<3<3

  • beautiful : )

  • love this movie..

  • very romantic

  • This is so beautiful.
