This is so when the day comes (this year or next) when the interest payments for the US debt outweigh US GDP, the Us currency will become demonetised.. Obama knows what he needs to know about this, no more.
are you aware of the fact that obama has already, in his first month or so of presidency, managed to fucking quadruple our debt? especially because of this bailout plan which bush started and now obama is continuing. (so much for seperating himself from the old administration). and if anyone thinks the bailouts were a good idea needs to do some research, about how this economy and it's people work. I still have hope for Obama but so far his promises are looking harder and harder to believe.
@fourtwo Mostly the market itself rather than Bush and his admin. It lied in the hands of asshole rich investors. If you're rich, and hold on to your money and only care about your own investment return, you're the asshole responsible :)
