  • could you be plateauing?

  • thanks for sharing, but I was waiting for the answer forever! I like your name, I don't have gastric but I'm working on freedom too

  • as we all know but dont fully understand till post surgery

the surgery is performed on your stomach

    NOT YOUR MIND!!!

    This is soo hard

  • You look great and have obviously benefitted in terms of physical health. Yet, you always seem depressed in your videos; you hardly ever smile. Have you considered seeing someone for the mental health issues you allude to here? I have clinical depression and have found better living through chemistry, LOL. Seriously, I wish you the best and great health in ALL aspects of your being. It wouldn't hurt to talk to someone outside of your family about issues that are bothering you. Try it :)

  • this video could be so much shorter but you just take it sooo slow

  • after the surgery you can lose weight, but when you want to stop losing it because you have lost enough weight, is it impossible to maintain the same weight ?

  • my wight lost is slow after 5 months of surgry is the normal

  • Iam sorry ....U look great ....Iam glad u changed ur life and saved ur life...you are lucky u still have hair and that is thick ...my aunt ,neice and uncle looked as if they aged 30 years...but the surgery saved their life....my neice was 560 lbs at 5'3 at the age of 23...i want the surgery ...but no one will do it for a 40lb weight loss...:(..anyway ...u look great .

  • You want gastric bypass for 40 pounds?! You need your head evalutated. Go run a few miles to get the 40 pounds off.

And if you think she drags on, don't watch her video :)

  • my god...can u get on with it sheesh!! you regret it

okay ...whatever. it saved my moms ,cousin, and uncles life!! you just dragggggg on

  • coxgirl67 please watch the last minutes of this video again, you have clearly misinterpreted. Also, your comment is uncalled for.

  • may i ask what your bmi was before surgery? you look so good in all the videos...i can't believe you had wls. i am a 38 bmi, with severe sleep apnea. i am thinking about having the RNY done. the doc says it would be great for me to have this done. thanks for your input. i am researching this like it's a matter of life-or-death for me (literally speaking!). God bless!

  • My BMI pre op was 51.

  • listerine is very good for braces, and then that special wax, hope you feel better pet.

  • I have been thinking about having the surgery for about a year now and I am so scared. Thanks for all of the vlogs that you post to show your journey in good and bad. Keep pressing on, girl! You are such an awesome person!

  • Hello Amber,

Thanks for your straight up comments regarding gastric bypass surgery. I have been fighting a weight problem all my life. I am now 56 years old. I have been healthy with no heart or diabetes problems. I just want to finish up the last part of my life without any major health issues.

I weigh 390 pounds. I tried several times to loose weight only to gain it back.

Thanks for your input. By the way, I go in this Thursday for gastric bypass surgery.

    tnx,

    eledon

  • Great video, Amber. I feel the same way.

  • Amber, I love your videos. Thanks for sharing your story. Hugs..Shannon

I don't regret it either. So far so good!

  • i'm really glad you posted this...that's been one of my lingering questions...should I be doing this, is this natural? Shouldn't I just try to do this on my own? But then my other half says, I still WILL be doing it on my own...and I won't have to wait so long to be healthy again. My best years are just slipping away while I sit inside like a hermit crab...and I just want to live again. But anyways, thanks for this video...it definitely reassures some of the questions i've been dealing with.

  • thank you for this video Amber, my rny surgery is this Monday the 17th....kathy

  • you look great

  • Another great video Amber :-)OMG Christmas trees already????

I had post traumatic stress after my 1st childs 26 hour delivery - it is a strange thing that has affected me neurologically.

Thank you for letting me be part of your journey!

  • Thanks again Amber for your honesty and willingness to share your stories with us. I am pre-op and constantly wonder if this is the right answer for me. If I hadn't found all of you on YT, I probably would not have made the decision to have wls.

  • Thanks Amber!

  • I don't regret mine, either, girl! I'd do it all over again, in a heartbeat!

    Dena

  • I got my surgery date today. Dec 15. Tomorrow I start preop diet hell. I can't wait to join you on the losers bench!!!!

  • YAY! You go girl! Amber for President of the WLS Community!!

  • Thank you so much for your honesty. I am pre-op and this helps me with my decision, as well as looking down the road.

  • Our stories are very similar with weight history...

  • Thank you so much Amber!, my surgery is going to be next week, on wednesday 19th, and i´m like fraking out, so this video gave me courage to keeping on, thank you, really thank you. xoxo Dianna.

  • This video was very comforting for me. I'm getting close to surgery and I am FREAKING OUT!

    So thank you.

  • Great video, Amber! I so get everything you're saying. What a journey we are on and who knew that its twist and turns would take us in these directions? At least its never boring! hugs, jane

  • Thank you! I really appreciated this video!

  • Great video. Is plastic surgery for excess skin something you've ever considered? Just wondering, because it seems to be par for the course with most people who have reached goal. Hope that's not too personal a question!
