  • Red Dot scopes are great for training :)

  • Takes me back to the days of my dad teaching me to shoot.

  • I just found one of these Model Five's at Cabelas. I picked it up right away. It is not the youth model, but the one with the dark brown laminate stock. It will be for my son's first gun. I put about 10 rounds though it and love it! BTW- I paid $175 and is why I snagged it right away. It is in excellent condition - not in box condition only because it was not new. Thanks for this and all your other reviews. I think he will love this gun (his bday present).

  • i grew up with a 870 youth 20ga. now my hunting shotgun (pumpwise) is a 870 spacial purpose, and my tactical shotgun is an 870 a-tacs, im so happy i grew up on that ggun

  • I just bought a USSG Z5 5 minutes ago! Thanks Nutn for the great review on a cheap gun!

  • man the first gun i shot was .410 the second gun i shot a 336c .35cal marlin and my parents were trying to scare me away from using guns lol didnt work

  • when you say zastava the accent is on the first A not the second.

  • nutnfancy is a pussy

  • Major point of why all Zastava Kragujevac arms are so good and of excellent quality is that the same factory produces military grade weapons. So basically you have military engineers and best quality staff making the weapons for civillian use as well as military. This makes Zastava so famous with its arms proven military techniques are applied to civillian products.

  • nut'n why do you allways put--veri on the end of your comments?? please reply

  • @jackalofigjam Because that is Veri, TNP secretary replying on nutnfancys youtube.

  • i halve a single shot .22 like the criket but its called the chimunk ive had since i was 3

  • can you make a vid off all your guns in one room thanks!!!!

  • when i was 12 i loved big guns and still do i shot a 30 ot 6 and a 12 ga. all the time

  • I love CZs!! Do you have any other videos/reviews that include CZ rimfires? Love your vids nutn

  • @bichettereds

    its serbian rifle!!!

  • whats better a ruger 10/22 or a marlin 795????? i dont know whitch one i should get

  • Can you review the Weatherby PA 459 pump shotgun? that would be AWESOME

  • Great review. I picked the Remy Model Five Youth over a semi-auto for just about every point you made in your review. My dad said "This is how they made them back in MY day." I have a Nikon Pro staff 4 x32 on top of mine. The thing is heavy enough now that there is only a slight vibration when fired. I haven't gotten around to actually sighting it in yet.

  • when little i loved shooting 30-30s lol

  • Aw dude, I love this gun! I have one myself. They're tons of fun and the bolt action feature is great to learn on. The 10/22 rocks, but I would recommend this gun over it if someone was planning on getting a hunting rifle after learning how to shoot, since the hunting rifle will most likely be a bolt action as well.

  • they like barbie dolls they pussie weps go to the 303s thats some real shit

  • me, my mom and my girlfriend started on old browning t-bolt. shoots a .5 moa

  • the first gun i shot was the one my dad got me for my 12th berth day a win1200 shot gun. luckily though i like the recoil it makes it fun i still have it rite next to me at the moment. the rifle i grew up on was the marlin mod 60, the old 19 rd one not the new 14 rd,oh how i use to juggle cans at range : )

  • I just saw your Saiga presentation from the SHOT show, and while browsing Youtube for Zastava Videos I stumbled upon this great video of yours. Now I'm hooked to your videos, and every one of them is so damn long, they'll keep me up all night you bstard :D ;) Have fun making new videos, really like your style, the not-so-much-gun-nut attitude but the responsible and technical way of enthusiasm you show! :) Much support from Europe, where owning and getting guns is very hard and no fun...

  • Man, the classic or 'old school' bolt action rifle is the way a gun should be made. Look at that wood! That is one of the main reasons they are so much fun to shoot. They are civilized. The CZ 452 Lux is a mature & luxurious .22. That is why it's expensive... I also like the CZ 513 which is more affordable. I had also checked out the Marlin 925 which I may end up purchasing. The 925 looks to be selling for a little more than US $200. It has a 7 rd. clip I believe. Good fun & thanks

  • i honestly do not understand why your all rigged up for NUTN

is it a turn on for or do you wish you were some type of special forces/james bond guy

but all in all i think your a decent fella

  • Picked up a CZ 513 the other day, got it dirt cheap, someone in the stockroom broken the rear sight. So the store guys threw in a scope. Took it home drifted the sights off and sighted it in, MOST accurate .22 I've ever shot.

    65 yards I was getting 1/2" groups

  • How well does the Z5 stack up with it?

  • really earmuffs for a 22 PUSSY

  • go shot and lose many.tipic american.

  • walther p22... ahhh good times :)

  • helo from serbia

  • could you review your cz?

  • Nutnfancy.....Are you a member of the NRA..Are your kids junior members...I know this might be a stupid question i just didn't know..

    Thank

Buffalobillcody got the name for buffalobill Hickok

  • That is a stupid question. How could they use all those guns and not be a NRA Member?

  • @BurtonKelly0 Well you don't have to be an NRA member to have all th guns so I asked a question

  • Excellent guns! Nothing really beats those zastavas as ALL AROUND guns, good video! Don't listen to all the haters who make comments............

  • floridabowhunter if you dont like the reviews then dont watch the review videos. all he does is give useful information so just stop talking about what people want because you don't know. keep rockin Nutn.

  • @floridabowhunter Apparently the concept of a tabletop review has slipped right past your powers of genius. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • i hawe same model and it's exelent just put some bad ass amo and enjoj ;)

  • Love the vids NF. Proper pronunciation of the brand is ZAH-stava with emphasis on the first syllable. Thanks!

  • ZASTAVA ZAKON : M - 21 5,56 x 4 NATO !!!

  • @miomirm

ti nemaš pojma o čemu pričaš...

  • zastava courtesy of kragujevac Serbia: pozrdrav iz srbije i srecna nova godina "salutes from serbia and a happy new year to all of you guys"

  • Nutn wats that rail setup u have on the crickett and can i put it on my savage cub .22?

  • you shood make a video showing all your guns and knifes in it would be awesome

  • And a couple hours long

  • ruger 77/22 ?

  • shooting is a great skill and should be cherished and passed on!

  • ear protection fireing that?

  • There's no reason NOT to use ear protection... a matter of personal preference/prudence I guess.

  • Nutn you're killing me. I have $200 in Cabelas gift cards and was going to buy reloading components.. but guess what they have on sale for $199.. the Remington model 5. Now I am torn. LOL

  • Ho! Ho! Ho! Meeerry Xmas! ;) -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy please say chrismats instead of xmas

  • since my parents are no guns in the house and i cant get one, at the very least, even though i dont know you, you should model five.

  • @RemMan700

did you go with the reloading componets or the modle 5?

  • @asg00001 I went with reloading components, but wish I would have gone with the rifle. Oh well... next time I get the rifle.

  • my brother has a great gun that i have alsways loved. he got it probably 40 years ago and its a savage bolt action .410....and its tubular fed like some .22s are. great shooting gun. do you know of this gun and if they are still available? i havent been able to find one. thanks for any ideas.

  • do these guns shoot only shorts or will they shoot long rifle ammo also? nice video. i just found this on here.

  • Guys, thanks so much for downrating these porn bots, it makes them really easy for me to spot and remove. Nutn just HATES them cluttering up the comments.. Much appreciated. -- Veri

  • cricket looks so cool things so tiny every time i see it in dicks or anywhere i just wanna shoot it even tho its so small its awesome

  • could a person from the uk move to canada and buy a rifle like this (.22) would they need a full time visa or what?

im 21 and thinking about moving to canada ina few years permanently hoping to start off with 1 of these then getting a FN 5.7 (love it)....

  • I am in Canada. You have to do a safetey course, 1 day. you can get most makes of firearms except AK, FN FAL. semi auto rifle cannot have more then 5rd capacity and 10 round for pistols. You better fill in an application form, it takes about 3 years to get permenant visa!

  • thank you, 10 ronds for a pistol sucks, guess ill ave to get a 1911 .45 acp instead

  • i've got a full size Remington Model 5 (its stamped on the reciever). how much is it worth if its full sized?

  • Comment removed

  • MY .22 Is more powerful than a 308 win mag because i said so

  • Serbian gun is Serbian.

  • lol

  • @lorddregan Yugoslavian

  • I bought one of Zastava's M88 pistols and the gun would constantly jam and the slide would not go the rear after the last round of all the time. I was very dissapointed and had to send it back to EAA to be fixed. I imagine this isn't the same with their other firearms I hope.

  • love the color on the cricket

  • let the children know this isnt no toy. then we'll see right?

  • no just his father or mother

  • Fool

  • If you are letting the TV raise your children you ain´t doing it right.

100-50 years ago it was not uncommon for kids to save and scrounge untill they bought THEIR OWN light rifle. Teach the kids responsability and that it´s NOT A TOY and kids can be just as safe in handling a gun as any adult.

Heck, over time they will be even more safe than some one who started handling weapons as an adult.

  • Great vid, now I want me a bolt .22.

Any chance on a Marlin 795 review? Very high value .22lr semi auto, I highly recommend it.

  • that's not a scratch, it's character.

  • Ugh accidentally gave it a one star rating. =( sorry nutn. meant to give it a fiver.

  • OH NOES :0

  • lol i know but i felt bad haha

  • a love the 10/22 i just got the brand new one

  • i wish i had a dad that taught me to shoot when i was young. He was very reluctant to get me a real gun, first kid in the family to have that honor

  • Hey nutn one cuestion:

What tipe of triger control do you use? Do you use presing (Puting enough presure to put your finger in the 2nd stage of the triger and them presing it to let the shot off)

or sqeezing (slowly sqeez it untill the shot goes off by surprise and not jerking your sight alignment)

    Thanks Nutn (or Veri)

  • Yeah, seriously man... Too long?!? Then don't watch it! This dude make awesome vids!!

  • Don't watch it then, genious! I'm getting sick of you whiners... Too long? Don't watch!

Over 700 ratings and the score is 5.0 so it seems the video is fine. Keep rating dudes!

  • great vid! how often do you see or hear anyone talking about teaching their kids a skill?

  • Yes, give them rifles and teach them about safety, before they become Gangstuhs and try to fire a Mac10 in some random alley...

    Sigh...

  • Whas that a pro gun coment or an anti gun comment?

  • Pro gun, definitly...

That comment was a RE: to another comment.

But it was deleted by the author.

  • Nutnfancy if you ever come to Serbia I will be glad to take you to Zastava factory in Kragujevac where

this and many other guns are made!

  • what do u guys think about the G22

  • Fun gun and expensive, but too much weight for the kid!

  • Meh... I used to own a Walther G22 and sold it only after several hundred rounds. Its just awkward. Though, I will admit, it does boast several nice features. All in all, I would still recommend sticking with a Ruger 10/22 if youre looking for a semi auto 22lr rifle.

  • why would someone pick a bolt action remington 22. over a ruger 10/22? Other than a very small change in price.

  • Less chance of a jam with the bolt action. Fewer parts to break.

  • More accurate if you're leaving it stock too.

  • i wish you were my dad

  • I love .22 rifles. they are so light and easy to use.

  • that CZ .22 blot has like exactly the same type of sights like the original AK haha

    great vid as usual nutn!

  • remmington is supposed to come out with this new .22 ammo with a steel jacket on it, it looks pretty cool

  • Nice, but you don't need the earphones when firing it.

  • The .22 caliber hurt more your ears than more powerful weapon. Its a fact, your ears don't react enough at the sound of the .22 caliber, they don't do their work but they do their work when you shoot with a shotgun.

  • I gotta call bull shit on this one... How do your ears react to a large caliber that they dont do when firing a .22... I would love to see some proof and where you are getting this info... Its decibels that damage hearing and nothing else... Lower db=less damage than higher db

  • My gun instructor said it to the class, I don't know the biological processes that occur so I can't help you with that. But I know it looks strange, its probably something like you know that the shotgun will do a big bang so your ears protect themselves. With the .22 the sound is so low that your ears do almost nothing. If you are surprise by a shotgun shot your ears will probably really hurt you. Find a biologist or something, i'm not one, i'm just a pharmacian student.

  • yeah your ears protect themselves with the use of your fingers. There is no anatomy with the human body that can protect itself from the concussion of a gunshot.... Unless he was talking about shooting a shotgun with ear protection and shooting a .22 without then might be able to see that but even then... Your body issues a pain response when your being damaged and that tells you to wear protection. I am not issued a pain response with a .22 so less damage than a shotgun

  • Methinks what Stan was trying to say is that while the acoustic pressure from a .22 discharge is powerful enough to damage your ears it is quieter than many other calibers so the user might fall into the false sense of security thinking that quieter==safer, therefore no earplugs are needed.

  • i shoot 22sr no earplugs not much louder than a cap gun

  • Your ears are to valuable to gamble with, its a good rule to use ear protection.

  • Right now I can only think of the Spyderco Dragonfly and SOG Blink. Both are good knives, but I like the Blink better. Both are 2.25 inches.

  • Correction, the Dragonfly is 2.31 inches and Nutn has a couple reviews if you wanna check it out.

  • Great Vid Nutn I really enjoy your vids and all the information you give us. Thank you so much!

  • Zastava on Serbian means Flag... :)

  • zastava in russian means "force"

  • zastava in my language means flag lol

  • man nutnfancy, your reviews always make me smile!

  • the savage mark 2 i'm lookin at is $117 brand new

  • nutn it looks like ur gonna be shot in the pictue by that kid next to u

  • i agree 1:50

  • i have the savage mark2 .22 and its awesome

  • mmm .22lr's are so much fun, shame that 22lr is getting so bloody expensive...thanks for upload.

  • Go Serbia! I didnt know we had good rifles on the US market!!!

  • beautiful .22 rifles

  • Thank you for posting nutnfancy! The first review of yours I saw was about a year ago for a Kelty Tioga ext. frame pack. Incredibly thorough! I was planning a roadtrip/backpacking trip in the Sawtooths of Idaho and found one on craigslist two miles from home for $40! Great to see you on youtubes homepage today, nicely done!

  • I've never shot a real gun. Have no real need for one. But that Cricket looks amazingly fun:D Wish I could get something similar over here in the UK.

  • you should have a right

    sorry bout that dude

  • any one know why a .25 (beside the 25-06) rifle was never made? and any one know if the 5.7FN will ever come out in the 10/22 style auto or a bolt gun like the ones being reviewed.

  • i like the cz nice finish iv never shot a 22 before, first gun i shot was a military 556

  • lol DOODLE!!! TOTALLY SCRATCHED THIS STOCK!! xD priceless. . . Has Nutn ever made a breathing control vid? I have followed for over a year now and I dont remember one...

  • I'm afraid such vid was not yet made... I DL'd most of Nutn's vids to navigate thru them faster and did not find anything of appropriate title.

BTW, that's over 40GB worth of vids - I don't wanna know how much space the original vids take up...

You're an amazing man, Nutn. We all owe you a big one for all that work.

  • jake - that will really make him grin! I'll pass that along. =) -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • The savage Arms guns are pretty good My Buddy Works at the plant doing QC on his General Machinist Course the local collage the plant has been making guns since the days Cooey was still in business they also make the Cooey semi auto .22

  • this vid make me break out the old savage 3c and savage sportster

    thanks for the great Video

  • Muchas Gracias Nutnfancy desde Argentina Saludos!

  • first time i shot a 22 i shot with a scop and now i really wish i learned on iron sights but when i get my 22 bolt im waitin on a scope for a while

  • Great video, and good job on pronounciation of Zastava. :-)

  • Maurice Clemmons shot four officers. He was a civilian and a criminal. A law officer shot and killed him, not a civilian.

  • great vid i have to say that bolt actions guns of all types are great for trainning. i have a 2 year old boy that at the right age has a 20g three shot bolt action to use and learn on it was the same one that his dad (me) got when i was a boy great vid and keep them comin

  • yep that's old school. how do i know? my dads over at my place today. he saw my glock "what the hell is this???" we watched this earlier "NOW THATS A GUN!!"

  • Awesome gun! I'll probably go and try to find one for myself!

THANK YOU Nutnfancy!!! Your service to all of us is extremely appreciated!

  • Reminds me of the .22s we used at boy scout camp

  • does doodle clear those pics to be used or does dad decide?

i like the old pics because it says, hey ive been doing this a long time and i have experiance and i know of what i speak. rock on tnp!!

  • my first gun was a Indian head penny brake action .22LR. I put probably 10 K rounds threw that thing. I remember getting it when I was 7 years old.

  • What is this song???

  • The song at the beginning and at the end of this video is called "One Tear For You" by the musician JimmyG. You can find it on his website, link at the bottom of the video description.

  • I love it, its like old cowboy music. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • at impact guns, the marlin papoose 22LR take down rifle (previously reviewed) is $255. very good value

  • 17 HMR is a really serious round, 2200 fps. :O

  • good vid...;}

  • I am 15, learned to shoot with my grandpa when i was 6-7, I learned with a semi auto remmington .22 and, when I was 10 I recieved a Z5, I prefered it over ANYTHING! the only thing I shot besides it for a long time, was good oll whinchester.

  • Are you shooting on public or private land? I wish I had a place to shoot outdoors here in Ohio.

  • like that cz =D

  • the gun i learned to shoot with ( i am 15, been shootin' since i was 7) was my grandpas old .22. it is the remington model 581 to be exact. i put a simmons 3-9x40 on it and i can hit quarters all day from 60 yards with cheap remington bulk ammo.

  • shooting quarters may become expensive.

  • Yeah, those grid targets costs about 40-60 cents each, much cheaper considering how many targets you're actually getting in each sheet.

  • yeah lol

  • Wish the gun laws in Australia were better, would love to take a little .22 shooting with the family. Keep up the great work Nutn, happy holidays.

  • Love those 22 bolt action rifles. My first was one with a five shot mag. What a great gun!

  • I have a savage mark 4 .22 and a remington 870 magnum express and i love both of them. i hunt with them they work flawlessly.

  • Great vid Nutn. Keep um coming!

    Radioactive

  • excellent video nutn.

  • see my parents are so overprotective that they wont even let me get a little .22 they dont even considers it, even if they hold the ammo, even if they hold the rifle for me, no i cant have anything more than a bbgun or airsoft which is stupid, and im almost 17 what the hell?

  • Lucky you, I'm 15 and my parents won't let me have a fucking nerf gun... It's ridiculous. But you know, the second I turn 18 I instantaneously become responsible.

  • @darkside6ix sucka

  • I have had the same problem. When I was a kid I wanted toy guns, but my parents would never let me have them. My Grandfather had to buy them for me. He taught me how to shoot when I was 3 years old with a BB gun, then when I was 7 he bought me a Red Ryder, and I would spend hours in his back yard shooting it. I never received a real firearm until I was 18, and I purchased a Mosin Nagant M44 for cheap.

  • one more year homie then u can go and buy an AK or AR haha whatever u can afford

  • yeah right when i turn 18 im buying a .44 s&W 6 inch, and im going to buy myself a nice little RRA standard a2 to go along with it lol

  • meh, don't frown over a couple of scratches on that stock, if you do your part, that gun should last a lifetime and a half, scratches give it character, and it's sure to see more, every one has a story, and i like that about old guns.
