L series from Larrivee is a little smaller than the Dread, it's a combination of Dreadnought and the OM (orchestra model) shape of guitars, original design of Jean Larrivee ;)
I don't have an OM-03 in the shop right now. The L-03 is the most versatile guitar I have played. The OM has a smaller tighter sound, perhaps better for solo finger-style and strumming situations where you want snap instead of thrust. If you want the guitar to jam acoustic with other players, I think the L-03 will handle that better regardless of style. It has better balance than the D-03 yet can still be heard when played along side of dreads. IMPO
Thanks for the advice. I am going to get myself the L-03 this week. Too bad I don't live in the states, else I would drop by your shop. Sounds like a lovely place. Oh and keep up the great vids. Cheers, mate.
I'd like to buy a 12 frets, 1 3/4" neck, all mahogany, or hog back and sides guitar. I know the Martin 000-15S and some other Martins but I'd like to Know others....Thanks!!

Hi,
Could you tell me if the body's larrivee sd-50 is little bit smaller than a standart Dreadnought from larrivee.
(it seems smaller in the video).
Thank you very much for your answer.

The SD-50 is indeed hog back and sides. The L-03 is sapele although it does look darker than it actually looks in this video for some reason.

loomis, what kind of mahogany are you used to?
that looks exactly like 'hog to me.
