You use your laces to kick hard, and your sides to pass or curve a soccer ball. Sometimes the ball doesn't go far when you kick with your laces, but the soccer ball DOES go high.

shots and discovered that if you didn't plant your weaker foot right

next to the ball, it'll scuff into the left or right (especially long range shots).

besides that, follow throught COMPLETELY, don't stop half way. lastly NEVER toe

poke the ball. NEVER!! you can start trying by focusing on the striking technique

instead o power. it's natural for the ball to swerve a little if you hit it hard but it shouldn't swerve off target

A better way is to just hit it as hard as u can. Technique is a bit pointless. In a real game u will struggle to setup exactly like that . He should of also mentioned how u should land

No, not OVER the ball - if you are over the ball your toe will hit the ground. You need to come from the side. Watch the pros. Even his own kick is not over the ball, he leans to the left and his foot is turned to the right.

That's actually the right technique. He should have mentioned the more you follow-through with your leg, the higher the ball will go.

If you want a Cristiano Ronaldo style bullet, limit the "follow-through" to a few inches...

Anyway, this is a good demo on how to kick through a football. Before doing this you should know how to pass it. It's up to you then how much power you apply. After that start thinking about curving the ball, getting distance and making the ball dip. But above all, make it accurate!
