Once again two cars that are two worlds apart are being compared, yes the lambo wins in a drag race and thats expected but throw some curves in the road and lets see who has the better track time. lamborhini is a fantastic vehicle in the right hands. Put my mom behind the wheel and she will do 0-60 in 40 minutes and put a professional race driver and he will drive that stock beast in under 4 seconds. lamborhini is not built to drive off the line its built to drive really fast at really high speeds. Put sti and that murcelago on a airport runway and let them drive a mile. sti will come stumbling to the end of the runway while lambo will make a turn and be about half way back.

The lambo on the otherhand is worth saving for. Looks gorgeous and utterly unique and is built by profession performance specalists. You do realize that the STi is (apart from weight saving and exhaust mods) the exact same car that runs in the WRC. (was btw, new body style hatchback has taken over) It is far from jap-crap cardboard. It doesn't take much to get it up and over 500HP, turbo, exhaust, injectors and a ECU upgrade will put this thing over the 500HP mark, all that can be had for approx 12k. At which point it would probably walk all over the lambo.

USDM STi uses a 2.5 litre boxer 4 while the models that used to race in WRC (RIP Subaru WRC) used a 2.0, so motors were different too. All things considered, I'd take the STi. Rally ability, practical in snow, and can be seen as a 4 dr family car.
