I had a cheap old driver for the last 8 years. I bought a FT-iQ driver two weeks ago. I played 9 holes with the driver. It was in credible. I missed the ball twice off my tee. My distance improved by ca.40% or more. I could not believe my distance. I also had a better control on my slices. Unfortunately, I was playing by myself. I can't wait to get out there in a group..
FTi is straight with distance, FT5 is for the golfer who can shape it off the tee. If you aren't single figures, stay away from the Ft5 as you will be kidding yourself. Its built for the draw/fade guys. lets face it, all double figure handicappers want to do is smash it down the fairway, straight. so go FTi....FORE
They're not. I thought they were a piece of crap and it turns out my friend bought one. I hit my usual 3 wood 230metres down the fairway but then i hit his driver and it went 250metre carry over the trees DEAD STRAIGHT. I couldn't believe it.
I played the FT-i today. My regular driver is a really old big bertha. I slice really really bad. When i hit the FT-I I didnt even slice(maybe once i didnt hit the fairway). The forgivness of this club is outstanding. I would recommend this club to everyone. even over the Sasquatch<- feels to heavy for me.
dude i totally agree with you, i hate the sound of the new cobras. i was recently in the market for a new driver and i was down between the callaway ft-i 9 degree with a 65 gram graffaloy prolaunch red shaft, and then the cobra l4v x speed...i found the callaway much more maneuverable, more consistent, and farther. ended up getting the callaway :) but anyways, yeah, the sound of the cobras are awful.
Especially in a dome, holy crap it's loud, I don't hit it just because it will annoy other people. I have the FT-5, can't imagine what the FT-i is like.
man i know. there was a demo day at this dome near my house. i hit it. and all of a sudden everyone stopped hitting their balls. i just kept hitting. it was funny. the guy at the tent who was wit callaway was laughing his head off. and im 15. im a 0 handicap. and play arsity. but dude was it was loud.
Yeah, this driver is so damn loud especially when you hit the ball hard. I just recently got one and it hurt my left ear; not to mention that i now hit balls out of the range. Everyone at the range was watching me hit, and one person was like, "That kid should be playing with the pros." This driver kicks ass!
I just bought one of these in a liquidation sale and it hits a ton.
I noticed the sound was odd as well but I thought it was just the protective tape they used so I could try it out.

His follow through is wrong for swining a driver. He's coming off his front foot which is an iron swing

dont worry about the vans... your swing looked 10xs better as the """"""local pro""""""""

I have this, it can hurt your ears, especially if your watching behind
Nkatsikanis 4 years ago
yea cause its a square driver. most square drivers have a hollow sound if the shot is accurate. like the callaway ft-i and the nike sasquatch sumo2.
