  • THANK YOU, ReDLaNGuiTaR, for this incredible upload. THANK YOU, precious Gary, for all that you shared with us.

    We miss you.

  • I think Joe B is better. I like his tone better. GM is absolutely awesome but tends to overplay a little too often for my liking ... RIP GM !!! never had the privilege of seeing him play live ... my loss ... bottom line is its a matter of personal preference casue they are both killer players ...

  • Fucking amazing

  • great shame the camera wasn't moved earlier...couldn't see the meat and potatoes

  • They should do a movie about Gary. And Stephen Rea should portray him.

  • Absolute Legend of blues guitar

  • Click my ads and i'll subscribe to your channel

  • When he play jazz...what scale is that?

  • WOW that red Gibson ES is beautifull!

  • Snap I knew he was good but....

RIP Gary Moore. From one of your youngest fans.

  • @gibbie31 shut off the subtitles, you bitchy retard!!

  • thumbs up if you're not watching this the first time

  • OH MY GOD THAT BOX OVER THE WHOLE VIDEO IS SO FUCKING ANNOYING.

  • @gibbie31 You're annoying, it barely covers any of the meat of the video.

  • if gary was a guitar teacher "ok, here play this".....

  • G O D ! ! !

  • 1st time I've heard Moore play jazzy...nice. The poor guy lived a hard life, but had an amazing talent.

  • A world without Gary Moore is a poorer place. Thanks for the great music, Gary!

  • Gary is so missed...RIP

  • holy schmit

  • was one badd mofo

  • What's he saying about the tone controls at 4:53...? they're both talikng at the same time.

  • @gr8guitar69 I'll do that at full yeah.

  • Any tips on what he is doing in the Gazza Jazza section would be great. I wanna learn that bit. thanks

  • Gary Moore was fantastic, NO doubt!!...but, now it's up to Joe Bonamassa to carry on where Gary left off...and I have NO doubt, He'll do just that....

  • Still can't believe that man's dead, what a great loss. ~R.I.P Gary Moore~

  • I wish I had his skills.... R.I.P.

  • a heart attack at 58!? His Doctor should have had him on some meds...blood thinners or something..what a sad dumb waste of an exceptional talent...another totally avoidable senseless death ...REP Gary

  • The bebop stuff at around 3:50 is crazy. He had so much depth and range as a player, even more than you heard on any of the recordings. Amazing player to the end.

  • So awsome...i want the tab for the first 40 seconds lol

  • @AsmileyFish Use your ears.

  • @WaffleTheAlmighty i know what you mean man i can work out some of it...but alot of it is quite fast for my ears to fully understand what exactly hes playing and the angle to see isnt brilliant. i think its in A minor pent/blues patterns tho isnt it? it sounds about that or close too. i do use my ears ..but tab can give you that little extra push.

  • Gary's vibrato is absolutely frightening. Watching other videos on here of him playing a strat, how the f**k could he make a strat sound the way it did?? One of my heroes and will always remain at the top of my list. Pure ball of fire and still a pure inspiration.

  • Gary could have wiped his ass with any other Blues player who ever lived.

  • @jimmcallister you know a guy named Jimi Hendrix ?

  • @mattheyho Matter of fact I do, son. I stand by what I wrote above.

  • @jimmcallister Well, you're kind of right, I think Gary is better too :D

  • @jimmcallister i think it's funny that these guitarists that we idolize would never say such a stupid thing as this. yet fans of these guitarists have no reserves about saying something so stupid

  • in my opinion this is the best piece of guitar playing i have ever heard! I listen to it regularly to remind me of what it takes to be a great guitarist!

  • 5:40

    ..........

  • Only Gary could get that tone from a tele, omg i miss him so much

  • What is the scale in 3:27 ?

  • Anyone wanna see a true guitar god?

    Check out /watch?v=mCvgE6yzoAM

(OR you could just scroll up)

  • This is so Cool. RIP my idol

  • I genuinely can't believe he's gone. I've never felt that way about a musician (or anybody really) before.

  • A genuine legend, took the guitar to a level very few can reach.love ya Gary.

  • Gary was an absolute Genius, up amoungst the greats within the industry, he was always committed to playing at his best, we have lost a truely unique,Dedicated, Class of his own Musician. i personally Miss the Wonderful man that was a friend, a colleague & an inspiration to a lot of people without a doubt. At rest now, Missed so very much. DM

  • @demain60whfc27 Well said mate, i first saw Gary in 1989 on the After The War tour, and a year later on his first blues tour he gave my brother a pick and sat on the tour bus steps and spoke to all of us. He is and always will be a hero to me

  • @demain60whfc27 Just want to add his last dvd release gave me mixed emotions brilliant and sad at the same time, im glad he got you back on the drums mate, your a class act yourself, alll the best. GARY MOORE LEGEND!!!!!

  • Pffff.... "Gary, play us a quick guitar impro"...

    **FACE MELTING GUITAR-SOLO**

"thank you gary, lets take a quick 5 minute break, just get a cup of coffee while i change my pants, jot up a quick will, and tell my wife i love her"

  • Pfffff... i can imagine the interviewer... "So gary, could you play us a quick blues impro" *FACE-MELTING GUITAR SOLO*... "thank you gary, let me go change my pants and i'll be right back"

ps, love the hendrix style at 2.33

  • @thegreatlizzy hahahaha did you get enough of the negative attention you were seeking ?

Wonder what your legacy will be when your gone...... hahaha a totally forgettable dickwaad who had no talent for anything but acting like a shithead. We already know, your the guy who tells a joke in a room and is the only one who laughs..... hahaha Fuck You

  • 3:36 sounds like guthrie govan

  • @emanhacker just because a thing or person is new does not mean its better.

  • Lordy mama, what an amazingly precise guitarist, AND tasteful. We'll never see his like again. Thank goodness he recorded so much great blues-rock for us to cop his licks!

  • 3:25 - 4:11

    wow

  • This 335 has an awesome sound. Telecaster sounds like shit compares to it...

  • That ES 335 has awesome rude sound

  • may god bless you gary for on earth you have blessed us!!!

  • Joe Bonamassa is great, no doubt, but even he says, that he can't hold a candle to Gary Moore. "emanhacker" has a degree in WANKOLOGY, he is just a retarded troll. We should ignore him.

  • thats what you call some good solid playing RIP what a legend

  • All you "critics" post yourselves doing any better..... Although I doubt you could.... Gary had his own style.. just the same as any guitarist only Gary Moore was one of the few greats.... R.I.P Gary... Always missed

  • @emanhacker I agree that Joe Bonamassa is very good, very very very good, but that doesn't mean he is better than Gary moore, each guitar player has own style and feeling for the instrument. Gary Moore is amazing in his own style/feeling.

  • @emanhacker you dont know shit about music pal

  • 4:19 - 5:37 makes me want to own a Gibson...

  • I watch this almost every day.So good to get inspiration from!.I wish he did more instrumental guitar albums but he is a legend and was a very very dedicated musician.Great upload :)

  • lol he even set the house on fire at 6:57 thats how good he is

  • iconic gibson player... one of the icons of he les paul, among with jimmy page, clapton (beano), paul kossof, mike bloomfield, keith richards, slash (wherever u like it or not), joe bonammasa and jeff beck (yes, i know, he likes more the strat but the oxblood lp is alegend)

  • is this Jazz 03:23 ?

  • @MegaDaniboy1989 yes, italian solo jazz

  • notice how he did`nt use his left hand little finger, but reached over two frets with the third finger. Guitar teachers will tell you to use one finger per fret, but you can get more power like this.

  • lesson? lol..

  • gary could play anything : hard, rock, blues, folk, jazz...

whan l heard he died, l could not hold back my tears

  • @nonotc What album did he do folk music on?

  • heavenly

  • 5:43 AWESOME!!!

  • god that 335 gives me chills down my spine love the tune he plays

  • ca tient pas l'accordage Gibson ! ;)

  • I think if Gary had made 10 istructional videos would be useless. He was inimitable.

  • The Top. Gary, Roy Buchanan, Albert Lee. The Top.

  • 14 children?

  • does any body know what the jazz lick is?,,,

  • TALENT

  • A great blues player and definitely one of the top five rock guitarists in the world an absolute master just ask zakk wylde from black label society.

  • i want all these guitars maybe ill be as good as gary

  • I watched the one night in dublin concert last year on sky arts and was immediatly grabbed by garys playing style.I had no intrest in him or his music before that and planned to buy a few albums and maybe go and see him live.I couldnt belive it when a few weeks later I heard he had passed away,so sad.

    RIP Gary.

  • Wonderful blues guitarist and beautiful instruments. He will be missed.

  • Did he use that Tiny Terror for the whole video?

  • just an incredible player so sad when i heard of his passing :( r.i.p Gary x

  • grandios.....

  • The Greatest guitar player that erver lived...no comparison!!!

  • Is he just doing improv. in that first bit? If not then pleeeasse tell me what it is, I wanna learn it!

  • @verbw002 i think that part from 5:55 to 6:03 is from ,,Oh pretty woman,,

  • @94BadBoyBoogie I meant the bit right in the beginning

  • man that were crazy imagine being able to play that WOOOOOAAAAAAAAHH! INSANE!!

  • This guy was, and still is a LEGEND. He could play amazing, and he had an amazing voice, and that is rear with great guitar players.

  • Too bad the camera angle blows....till the end part anyway..

  • So hot he was smoking! 6:56

A legend & and an inspiration...

  • The guitars have soul, but the player with his pick could play quietly or with rage, and we could hear if he is happy or not, very good Gary on this vidéo, RIP friend ...

  • 14 ppl thought that dislike botton is a download botton!

  • The GREATES EVER.......... PERIOD

  • the 14 people disliked thin need beheading

  • Хорошее произношение.

  • 6:54 the blues on fire.

  • @emanhacker

If you refer to the opening one he plays the Tele, there are no 2 different time signatures you turd!!. It's just a 12 bar 4/4 shuffle in A major while the phrasing he plays is the A pentatonic minor with chromatic passing notes (also called blues scale). If you didnt figure that one out I dont know what sort of shitty degree in music you have.

  • @emanhacker You really do talk shit. What a fucking idiot you are!

  • @road2ruins You are right, "emanhacker" is a fucking idiot. He knows nothing about music, guitar playing and Gary Moore. His mother must be his father's sister to make such stupid comments.

  • @emanhacker

you are so full of shit!. listen to thin lizzy's 'gary's jig' bootleg to find out if he can play classical stuff. Listen to many bootlegs of him playing the opening for 'victims of the future' with 'Sevilla' by Albeniz. Bonamassa is good but if you say that he's better than Moore, you are a clueless turd!

Regarding Malmsteen and Gilbert, the only thing Moore doesnt do is the cheesy tapping and sweeping (big deal! one afternoon to master tapping and 2 for sweeping, and then what?.

  • Fucking Legend indeed. Can't believe I saw him live only a year ago. I will miss him.

  • and the lesson was: "Stop playing cause you'll never be better than me" - Gary Moore

  • that 335 is dripping with awesome tone

  • LMFAO! @ THE ALARM GOING OFF

  • Is that an OD or some sort in front of the orange? I own a terror and i just cant seem to get that nasty, beautiful bite with a tele that gary has here. And yes, my volume is usualy set noon to high (12:00-2:00).

That aside, i never tire of watching this vid. Gary is just beast!

  • Ive never seen a 335 get raped so badly

  • Hi i am new on youtube from Dublin Ireland Gary Moore and Rory Galagher were from Ireland not bad for a small country sadly they both died too early !

Check my youtube video jam lesson in A dominant hope you enjoy it !

Need all the support and subscription i can get cheers and thanks !!!!

  • "How do you set the uh tone controls"... "Oh there on full" Lol

  • Without a shadow of doubt, Gary Moore was/is the most versatile guitarist on the planet.

  • O_o damn what a beast. Fuck those 12 people who disliked.

  • He left us.....not his music! Like Jimi Hendrix, the prox 50 yrs. his music will come out from a radio or another strange machine to hear. Great as else few guitarists: him, Jimi Hendrix, SRV, Roy Buchanan, Randy Rhoads, Albert Lee.

  • ORANGE TINY TERROR :) GARY MY HERO we miss you R.I.P

  • Belfast Legend

  • sadly garys no longer alive that hurts guitar playing world wide

  • @emanhacker its blues , blues its cliche for that matter and the guy is not new he has been playing since the 60

  • @kanopiucas Until Feb 6 when he passed away.

  • @emanhacker You mean you want to hear someone shred? I'll be you haven't heard him on Thin LIzzy's "Toughest Street in Town". It's here on YouTube. Do a search on it. This guy could play anything, any style. He was a master.

  • any1 know what kinda pedal or amp he used to get his sound? like the sound around 6 mins for the fire alarm blues

  • @GuiTaRs1495 Playing through an Orange Amp, as the pics show. For a L O N G time, Gary favored using a Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal. Dime your amp, really cooking the tubes. Back off the vol on either the amp or the guitar, ideal that the amp has a vol and a master. A pedal that has a not too over-the-top fizzy overdrive. Something that is Tweed emulator or an Ibanez 808 Tube Overdrive clone or a Marshall Bluesbreaker clone.

  • any1 know what kinda pedal or amp he used to get his sound?

  • It's great to see Gary sharing musical ideas from his vast knowledge acquired throughout a lifetime......Truly a legend......! Excellent post....!

  • omg....... wowwwwwwwww......

  • When I go to heaven, I dont want angels singing!

I want to hear Gary moore and his guitar!!!

May your soul be teaching God how to play the guitar. Send greetings to all the great guitarist that had passed away, here in earth we still love you and admire every one of you!

  • WOW!

  • Well no Blues lesson here at all, just a Gary Moore interview demonstrating a couple of guitars.

However, a very nice and unique video and a joy to watch.

RIP to Gary one of the greatest.

  • 11 people don't know anything about music
