If i happen to come across another song that happens to have cowbells in it...and i see another "it needs more cowbell" comment i am going to puke my guts out.
I wish I had a buck for every time I played this album, was living in L.A. and used to drive the landlord at the apts. where I lived crazy with this. Then I would plug in my Guild Bluesbird and try to emulate Robin throughout the album. the landlord threatened to throw me out a few times. I a;ways thought it was because I was loud, maybe it was because I was butchering the songs, ha. I had fun anyway.
Hasn't changed all that much over the years.....a great song, and I think it's one of Robin's personal favorites too....I thought I heard him say so at a show or in an interview once. Sounds almost identical to the album except for a few tiny changes in the solos
Funny to think Trower used to be in Procul Harum , but there is a Procul track called "Whisky Train" thats pretty heavy . Robin Trower one of the many Brit guitar heroes .
@MOSKII58 WELL THAT'S THE WAY YOU SEE IT, A DJ ON THE RADIO SAID ONE TIME WHAT WE NEED IS MORE COWBELL I NEVER GAVE IT A THOUGHT UNTIL HE SAID THAT BUT YOU KNOW WHAT HE WAS RIGHT IT MAKES A GOOD SONG THAT MUCH BETTER.
@rockzulla well i'm not certain, i always thought it was like "an inside joke" hey more cowbell, but it probably started off as a serious statement, but i may be wrong, i;m not really sure, if i am - my mistake...if i'm not -well no big deal either way..
Other than getting annoyed with that played out joke/line, great fucking song by trower.

Agreed! The Bridge of sigh album is solid, there's no "filler". One of the great albums of all time.
