It was gimmicky other then a few games. the system was fun but it definitly didnt do anything for the "hardcore" gamer. Look at the wii u, they're pulling the same shit again, even after they made a shit ton of profit on the wii and ds. THey're holding back on what they put out to people and their gonna pay. The next gen systems will most likely be much more powerful and so 3rd party developers will chose them over this. Why cause they can make one game for PS and XBOX. thats more profit.

@ragnarokable45 Actually the rumoured GPU for the next Xbox is weaker than the Wii U one and Sony claimed they want to focus on casuals for the PS4. Yes the Wii U has a gimmicky controller but the system itself is powerful enough and it's likely that the next generation will be more like the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube war than the 360/PS3/Wii one.

Funny to think this technology has been around for almost 20 years. I remember in the early 90's as a kid visiting a musem where in one exhibit was this huge big screen tv. There were two games you could play, one where you were underwater and you popped bubbles that assended from the bottom of the screen or on land with different colored balloons. And I played it with my arms and legs, not a controller.

@heliosrayne Wrong, gta4 is considered by many as overrated. Not only that but metroid prime has statistically won more GOTY awards and best action adventure awards than gta4. Furthermore re4:wii edition absolutely obliterates gears of war in every respect. I love gears of war, but re4 is a CLASSIC. Those aren't the only good wii games. I could name a dozen more, such as goldeneye, xenoblade, dk:cr, last story, monster hunter tri, de blob (i don't have room for more). Do your research.
