So far in 2011, no Brittany, Zanette, Mae Mae, Ashlei, Tara, Charlotte, Vicky, or Mea. Don't know much about the upcoming sophomores.That was nearly the main ones from the 2009-2010 squad that I was hoping would be back for their senior and junior years! :( Hopefully the summer tryouts change this, for Charlotte and Mae Mae.

Brittany will not be returning, Hopefully by the summer she has a change in heart. I wish she would return because I remember when she was captain for Whitehaven Ms.Jones was what i Lived for she gave me life and as a freshman J-sette she still had it!!! Wish she would get it back up and keep up her grades and dance at the same time thats only what is stopping her.

@dreboy28 Someone said that Miranda would be captain. It's three Juniors now, Miranda, and the twins. But I think Miranda could hold it down for two years.

@futureomega I was watching the tryout videos and read that Miranda, Tara and Charolette all got cut. Asheli and Vicki aren't going to trying out. So that leaves twin Charlene to be the front runner for captain but who knows what Ms. Worthy will do.

ok here are your facts....shanketta didnt let mea lead...its tradition that was the last game of the season all seniors go on the field during 5th quater and do a farewell dance to"happy feeling" while all section leaders are on the field the next in commands lead..mea is a junior and is a candidate for cpt(which she is not taking b\c she is running for MISS JSU) ...mea was on count and on point noticed how she threw a good ending stand routine to finish out the song.

My favorite captains were QUITA,CHLOE,JASMA,KettaAND Nikela were exceptional i cant really say Channa because i got interested in them Quita,s first year.

Don't forget he isn't right next to the band so there is an echo that the person recording is catching. From where he is it may APPEAR slightly off when she is actually in sync with the music. The timing on the other videos where ketta is leading is very similar.

Im very mad ya'll got Jasma at the bottom of yall ranks. Jasma is almost like Shanketta. Only thing Shanketta got better her second year, Jasma pretty much lost entrance her second year. She was still one of the best dancing captains. Socky was 2. Chloe did good in the ace spot, but turned 2 be boring in the captain spot. There was no energy!! She didnt even smile anymore

@jsuification that's because the camera isn't next to the band, sound travels so it's arriving to the camera slower than it would if the recorder were right beside the band. Just like the get ready videos we see from other uploaders. She's not off, there are some more videos from beside the band from other people.

@arethafan2006 quitta did 2001 "all for you" done once , cold hearted snake/hit em style. let it whip if im not mistakin i may be wrong because the choreography come from within..the J-SETTES have current and alumni J-SETTES help out with choreographing routines so its kinda hard to put it on just 1 particular sette with specific routines

I never saw what the big deal was with Nakela, she had them in sync as far as stands go but besides crazy in love and 7 day weekend i dont like anything else about her, ppl can hate on jasma but she really pushed the j settes into what we are used to now

Im mad yall got Chloe down near the bottom. To me she was one of the best... Those Stillman, CCC and Boombox Classic clips from 2008 will STAY in my favorites. I think if she had another year she would have definitely been a beast but she did an excellent job. Think about this though... we watched Chloe for 3 years then she had her year out front and did the damn thing, now we're about to watch her LITTLE SISTER do the SAME THING... Think i'm playin? @jboyfreshVUU I agree about Chloe. She brought Grace back to the squad. 2006 was a major decline for the J-settes with an overload of stunts that didnt flow well with the dancing. Socky took out alot of the stunts and Chloe added grace and versatility back to the squad. Ketta reign was a renaissance period for the J-settes and they were restored to their former glory.

1.Channa 2.Quita 3.Nakela 4.Nadia Look at the footage when they were captains the jsettes could not be messed with at all, they were all on point from looks, field routine, and stands. In my opinion, a good captain is not about how well you dance(even though these women without a doubt could) but your ending product.

Jasma was by far the worst captain in the last ten years. She was a great dancer but i dont think her leadership skills matched. I would have liked to have seen Terra as captain in 2005 or Janear(spelling) and socky in 2006 and 2007.

@ubettrwerk actually aquita did that as well went back to her old spot to let nikela have her time to shine, she even went on to give Nikela a hug at the end of her song, so this just goes to show that the jsettes are just one of those dancelines that appreciate the art of dancing and each other.

I'm one of the few people who hit her up saying how much she inspired other dancers like myself. she says it always brings her to tears and keeps her going even when she thought it was too much to handle. she's a great role model. and to come back after rushin the field to dance was real sweet!

@jboyfreshVUU It WAS sweet! And the fact that she took a spot in the stands to let Mea have her time to shine up front further proves how gracious she is. True leadership! The Settes are a better squad because of her. Not knocking the previous captains, but Ketta just really took the foundation the other captains helped to build and really capitalized on it. Everything just culminated with her. She truly owned and deserved the title: Captain of the Prancing J-Settes!
