God love Stuart Adamson. What a truly beautiful human being, not to mention one of the most unsung/unheralded songwriters and musicians ever to walk the earth. It really angers me that Big Country didn't become as big as U2 in America. It makes no fucking sense.
i rememeber seeing them play accoustic on edinburgh high street opening a music shop, maybe hmv, was long time ago, a band that were scottish and sounded scottish
@mrbassman25 thousands? this was a unique sounding band, yes you can cast up travis, hipsway, garbage, texas, but this was a big band with a big identity, unless you start throwing out jimmy shand you on a loser
have you never listened to the popular ceilidh scene ? traditional scottish bands that maybe arent as widely known as these guys, who are massively inspired by such bands.
What a wet gig but Stuart seemed to genuinely want the fans to have a great time. What a true gent. Love your music. Thank you Big Country. RIP Stuart.
The song he plays in the middle is wild mountain thyme although you will probably only ever here it like that right in the middle of fields of fire! GO ON YERSEL STUART! god called you to his side way to early and Big Country you shouldve had more of a chance god rest you big man god knows u deserve it

Rest in peace Stuart ... your music lives on and it is your legacy.
