  • Stu and Bruce are the Glenn and KK of folk music....

  • Cry like a baby ... floods of tears, what a cracking guy, and getting those people on stage the way he did was his pleasure. Gent Stu, miss ya

  • God love Stuart Adamson. What a truly beautiful human being, not to mention one of the most unsung/unheralded songwriters and musicians ever to walk the earth. It really angers me that Big Country didn't become as big as U2 in America. It makes no fucking sense.

  • RIP, Stuart.

The coolest part of the vid is that Stuart doesn't pick the hottest chicks. He picked the girls who would get the biggest kick out of being on stage with Big Country.

God bless you, Stuart. You're missed.

  • Man, I love being Scottish sometimes... :D

  • One of the best bands of all time !!!! :))))

  • The greatest live band in the world! Totally in touch with their audience. I would trade all of the live concerts I've seen in my lifetime to have seen them live in the summer of 1984 when I graduated and these guys ruled the new wave airwaves! Rest in peace Stuart ... your music lives on and it is your legacy.

  • They were always criticized (at least across the pond here in the culturally lame U.S.) for always sounding the same.

But, I swear, everytime I come across another live version of the same song, it is attacked from a completely different angle. RIP Stuart!

  • EPIC

  • Brings a lump to my throat to see them here, what a fucking band and what a fucking guitarist Stuart was !!. Just reading through all the comments posted here I see that so many people loved Big Country very much , and still do. I saw them twic, INCREDIBLE

    偉大なアーティスト「スチュワートアダムソン」の早すぎた死は本当に惜しいです。

And to all big Country fans all over the world - STAY ALIVE

  • What a waste min

  • I've just recently gotten into Big Country. I think they're one of the most shamefully underrated bands of the 1980s. Stuart Adamson seemed like a really down-to-earth, unpretentious guy. It's too bad things went downhill for him...

  • @tabber87

My story is exactly as yours. A week ago I found the old albums in my fathers CD collection. So I listened to them and was stunned. Pretty unique sound, Stuart seems such a cool and nice guy. Shame he is dead and their music is forgotten.

  • UNREAL - can't even imagine how much fun it would have been to join the band on stage.

  • It was criminal that this band was not HUGE. Whoever is responsible for that , whether the media or their PR or management, should be strung up!!!

  • Most bands sound worse live but sound great.

  • I still miss these guys.

  • RIp Stuart

  • One of the BEST live shows I've seen!!!! Energy in the crowd and on stage!! That's what makes a great band!!! God I miss them!!!!

  • think you,ll like this babe

  • what i would give to of been there, mind you i would only of been 2,

  • one person was stunned so much by the epicness, they accidentally hit dislike.

  • Does anyone knoe the name of the song he plays in the middle? I know one of them is Wild Mountain Thyme but there's another just before that.

  • Such a fantastic band and such a tragic loss to music the day Stuart died.

  • at 2:38....I love seeing Tony Butler banging out the rythym like no one can...awesome moment for a great effin band ! Love this song, love this version and this group...too bad American radio had their thumbs up their arses.

  • OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing. Unstoppable energy, like being hit and held down by a massive wall of sensational noise. Brilliant, just brilliant.

  • Anyone, but anyone with an ounce of appreciation for modern music and performance can fail to be impresed with this....AWSOME.

  • There was Big Country.....Then there are the rest!

  • Awesome video,Stuart was the ultimate guitar hero and gentleman.Had the great honour of spending the day with him before a gig in Redcar April 83.Memories never to be forgotten,my kids are Big Country fans now,the greatest Scottish musician ever.God bless Stuart Adamson
