I guess that fireblade is the best stock supersport bike ever made. Even if hayabusa can beat the acceleration/top speed, the fireblade as a whole is better.

You'd have to change that sentence to something like "If you ride any other sportbike apart from a abs-model Fireblade you have more chances of ending up in a wheelchair" because it's the truth. I can't say you're going to end up in a wheelchair, I have a non abs-model and if I believed that, I would sell it right now. Honda went one step further and fitted this system so, imo, they deserve credit. As for the looks, I didn't always love the 08 fireblade, so I totally understand that you don't

Suzukis are good bikes, but Hondas are better quality overall, and this 08 model also handles better than a Suzuki. Isn't that worth more than looks? And you know, deep down you are also concerned about safety, when the alternative to safety means the only wheels you will ride are in your wheelchair ;)

I'm so sad to see what Honda did to the Fireblade. The styling is god-awful, and the dude is right on the comparo... it looks like it was punched in the nose. Kudos for the fastest lap... but if you're going on looks the R1 leads the pack again this year...

i would much rather have something i can beat hard and have it ask for more . and crash without crying .

the italian is fast but high service costs . short service interval . hydrolic clutch rolf .(bleeding )

i have ridden 05 cbr 1k ,05 r1 ,03 gsxr 1k ,08 r1,09 r1 and an 08 cbr 1k

my fav was new gen cbr 1k

then 08 r1 . even more than 09 r1 . more light

the 09 r1 felt heavy and big , better seat .lol

i dont care about power modes either ....

I think gixxer is a tad quicker up high, but my mate has one of these and I reckon the bloody torque would get the blade up to speed a bit quicker.
