@sygo7g shut your mouth!!!! those were my shows!!!! off with your head for bringing up those good shows and memories.....lol. my shows were Pinwheel, Fraggle Rock, Paddington Bear, Chippee Choppoo ( i think that's how you spell it).....lol. some of those british shows were so damn good. these kids don't know what they're missing. i'm a late 70's baby, '78. i used to watch those shows like they were some type of soap operas for kids.....lol.
I lived in England in the early 80's. I loved the show. Especially the one where Paddington is on the train and says "they were running out of fish so the chef had to step on it" and the passengers all scream at the chef.
I remember my mom reading the Paddington Bear books to me when I was little. My brother had the whole set. They never showed the cartoon in the U.S., but I did see some of it when I was in England in 1988. I thought it was done in a weird way. Paddington himself was a stop-and-go action figure while the rest was drawn. It's also read by just one man instead of different people doing the voices.

@sygo7g I guess it's possible. The only one of the shows you mentioned that I ever saw was Captain Kangaroo.

I just realized something. The narration and the animation are what make this show so marvelous. You can really feel the heart.
