This is definitely not a genuine Police car. JZZ30 Soarers (1JZ-GTE engines) were used as Police chase cars in Japan many, many years ago, but this doesn't look like one to me (they had crazy arse wing mirrors and much bigger jellybeans). This is someones personal car painted up to look like a police car.
@lexusman01 if you have you've done a nice job. Ive got one in white and thinking to do the same. Black and white US police persuit car,it looks very original in UK, stands out.
A twin turbo 2JZ-GTE in an Sc300 (soarer) is quicker than an MKIV with the same motor, everyone thinks supras are so fast but they weigh more than a damn sc300. So just cuz the 2JZ is in a diff car its slower???
supras curb weight is at 3480. SC300 curb weight is 3503. So no its not lighter, but its not enough to make a difference. Rather drive in luxury with lower insurance rates then sporty and higher insurance. =]
but is deffinatly one of the greatest production cars ever made. Luxury, performance, style, reliability...hard to beat the SC300. You know a car is nice if there are hardly any changes made from 92-2000!
Who is trying to say this is the fastest car in the world anyway... it definately is a V8 4.0, not a straight six or a V6. It will turn more heads than any of your cars i can assure you, and has won car of the day at castle coombe race circuit. No one put it on here to say it was the quickest car around...
i own this car and it is a 4.0 v8, 280bhp as standard,has twin stainless straight through pipes and induction kit, all the lights and sirens work..can be entertaining!!
Seanthao, I own a modified 91 model Twin turbo Soarer, there are plenty of cars that will leave it for dead, but I bet there is comms equipment aboard, radio the plate, go wait at the car' registered address.
There are plenty of cars that can run from this thing, it's a 1.8 tonne 4 litre V8 with about 160kw at the rubber.
a Bog-standard commodore V6 has 160kw at the rubber, but weighs in less than 1.5 tonne, so wieght difference will be enough for a bogan Commodore to out-run it without effort...
this is not a 4 banger...its a v6...or should i say inline 6 motor...i agree with ktrain...not too many cars could run away from it...its a pretty strong car overall...alot of potential
Seanthao, I OWN a twin turbo striaght 6 Soarer, there are plenty of cars that will walk away from this thing like it was standing still. They are extreamly heavy in stock form, then the Police have piled their crap in as well.

Mate, it's an SC300 with a 3 litre 6, NOT an SC400... so has even less power than the 8, and weighs about 1500kg.
