Ive beated every quest in this game except this one. Zimmer tells me to talk to dr preston and i do and nothing happens. my compass keeps on telling me to talk to him and i tryed to talk to seagrave and he just tells me about a tape and how hes dumb. help?

@dswartz29 the reason you have to talk to preston is for a recording, if you can't get it from him head to megaton and talk to Moira or the Doc.

I got the Quest by grabbing a "Holotape" in the Underworld. Later on I asked her about a Android, and she gave me a note. Which is another Holotape

I got the tape "A request for help" before talking to Preston, I could'nt find him till afterwards and can't do [Optional] quest, is this a big deal or no, extra xp?

i just spoke to him for the first time and my character said tell me more about this holotape about that android? iv never spoked to dr preston before and i dont have the holotape he gives you HELP

On the XBox controller you have to press down the right stick ( RS ).

@ezrwithme Look at the Controls options menu for your xbox, it should let you know what to use for grab. I don't have an xbox, just a PC and PS3.

@PredawnFlunky if you saw no tapes in the area's I cover in the video, then you should have all the tapes you need. Once you have all the tapes you need all others in the game disappear.

@LaughingMand8D yea and i told to doctor preston and clicked the first choice (about the androids) and he didnt give me any tape or anything, well at least i didnt see it

@princezant197 No you don't. I made it like this to prove a few things. First it isn't a hard quest. Second, that you can do this quest at any time. Last, that you don't have to leave Rivet City to complete the quest. Over all, the video shows that you can get one of the best weapons in the game straight out of the vault.

@jailbroken4life yes you do it yourself; You use parts from similar/same items as the gun you want to repair.

@jailbroken4life The highest vendors will repair to is 75. If you have 100 repair skill you can fully repair weapons. There are mods like FOOK2 (Fallout Overhaul Kit 2) that will let you use Spare Parts/Wonder Glue to repair stuff.

Hey when I went to talk to dr preston I do not get the talk option other than I found some info about a android what do you now about his facial surgery? any ideas? Thanks great video by the way

I think it has to do with Zimmer name dropping Preston, you have to ask Zimmer who to talk to. If not, you get a speach check option from Preston to get the tape from him.

If you select everything that I select in conversations you will get what I get in the video.
