I think this route is better. Off 360 next stoplight north of Pennybacker Bridge take Courtyard west then turn left on City Park. You can also take Pierce once you're in there. Lots of twisties there. Or thru Westlake to Redbud Trail which leads to Lake Austin Blvd, although a bit more traffic.
I used to like city park, but now a days it's kind of a newbie road. Westlake is where it is at in the 360 area. road is very hard to keep acceleration going through the downhill section
@phuse99 , the thing about redbud/westlake area is there are cops everywhere that will not hesitate to write you a hefty ticket or arrest you for w.e b.s. to this day i have never seen a cop on old spicewood springs. not sayin they dont venture down the road. but i personally have never seen one.
This was a time trial? Was the camera stuck in slow-motion or something, at most points you barely appeared to be moving. =P And Nigmar, I'm not really sure why we don't have any videos up showing this road. This is one of the few roads in Austin I really love.
right on - wasnt really trying to race down it, just fuckin around. 2AD's it does look slow, i agree - but im doin between 55-75 most of the time, believe it or not
Nah. Austin weather is some kind of messed up. It can be sunny in the morning, you can get hail out of nowhere, then clears right back up ten minutes later. You just gotta love it though.
good vid love the road specially at night i always come up on the white bmw around 1;40 min on this vid i always come across him at night and sometimes during the day that guy likes driving too
you should pos a vid at night of a run pushing it to the limit i bet u can get around the low 3 min to the 2 min time
the speed limit is 35 - i was doin around 70-75 on certain parts. and its ghetto mounted with an old football belt. the clicking took me a lil bit to figureout - but it was the plastic ball on the cord for the camera.
my windows are 1/2 down. Its not super-loud, but IMO its just right. Not annoyingly loud. It was the only WRX on the lot with the SPT-package. Sort of a one-of-a-kind" deal. Xcept its easily copy-able : P
in total i think around 29K-30K. It's basically a step below the STi. I was 5K short of that :(
I assume you got all those mods through the SPT action package? How much was it? I wasn't offered it when I bought my WRX. Also, are your windows up? I'm wondering if I should get the SPT catback or not, I'm worried it's not loud enough, but from the looks of it I can hear it pretty loud from inside.
blahhh

Mike you had better watch out for the Blue STI that owns that area. It belongs to my friend and he flies down that road at 90 for fun.

Posting times on a public road, stop acting like that's track. I hope you don't run into some innocent people and crash into them.

Shut up, it's the Hill country. It's pretty damn common out in west austin. Go be a good Samaritan elsewhere.
