  • This is one helluva good series! It should be in schools all across the nation!

  • @DiscoveringReligion Thanks for the wonderful series. But, sorry, the back ground music is quite annoying.

  • @ 8:09 "it is a fact that modern day humans evolved from ape like ancestors"

How can you pose a definite piece of evidence with the word like which sort of maybe or similar you have to give a definite source as well for example which type of ancestor do you speak of you have to be specific.

  • @Beverlythirdeyevideo

    Hence, episodes 6-12...

  • @DiscoveringReligion You misspelled "explanation" at 7:21 of the video. Not sure if anyone pointed this out since I didn't go through all of the comments. My apologies if it was already pointed out.

  • @thelordmemnoch

Yeah, that was a typo. There are a quite a few mistakes in my earlier videos. I plan to go through and remake episodes and compile them into a remastered DVD. Thanks for the heads up though.

  • @DiscoveringReligion Hi love this series thank you. Please if possible could you tell me the type of newt/fish creature can been see at frame 6:48 of Ep 05 he looks so funny and cute both :0)

  • @kimkeen

Glad you've enjoyed it. :) The animal is called Axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum) and it is a salamander native to Mexico.

  • I still hate the music man... it is not worthy of such a great work... :(

  • while individual motives in certain cases may be unprovable by science, basic motivations exist because they were selected for as we evolved. those organisms that wantonly killed each other, that stole from each other, etc did not become the majority because they didn't procreate as efficiently as organisms that did cooperate, that did reciprocate, that refrained from killing except for food. regardless of what science can or can't tell us in these areas, why do you assume religion can?

  • i think imo that the bible was used to control people at swapped out words like city, country for world earth,,,king ,leader for god lord,,heaven for haven court city etc.andel ,for ammbassador messenger,.. the 1st massive cities sustained by trade and agriculture seem to have come about round the 6000 year old mark.but so many things have been done and used religion to justify it,science has done this aswell ,the atom get split ,yes what can we do with it? i know kill people.its all mental

  • This music in background makes me feel like I'm playing minecraft ;)

  • WHat's the UK version and why? lolol Great series...Ive watched most of it so far.

  • What's the animal at 6:49?

    It's adorable!

  • I'm sad coz I'm half creationist

  • @nasrsarian How the heck can you be half creationist?

  • Whether science deals with the question of 'why' really depends on the area of science you are working within. Ecology, for example, does often deal with "why" when investigating the likely reason for certain behaviours animals perform in the wild.

  • @torbs37 The difference is, that the sciences DR talked about is natural sciences. Ecology is more a social science. The guiderule for social sciences is that there is intention behind every action done - also by animals. However to find these intentions and verify them, especially in animals - who by definition can't communicate their reasoning, will allways be speculation. The why question will ultimately be impossible to answer - the probable cause can be theorized about but never answered

  • @Breakthrough501 shutup you radical extremist muslim scumbag! accept your fate

  • TRUTH IS TRUTH ... MURDER IS MURDER ... FACT ARE FACTS ... IN THE END WHEN THEROY IS PLAYED OUT & TESTED ... Fact: IS TRUTH! Do you want to know why "GRAVITY "did not stop working pending the it's discovery in 1684 (by one man) & it re-visitation or replaced 200 years later by (another man)? BECAUSE, Data (a.k.a.) “Intelligence" or "The Creator" did it that way so ignorant man wouldn't be floating off into space as his slowly evolving mind would grasp, Behe's "Intelligent design theory

  • @PurplexSour Can you imagine what would happen the day another race showed up ? What if it went against everything theist believed? God made us in his image but what about these people? What if they confirmed evolution as the only logical developmental drive of life. What if they confirmed. your born you live you die.. Several billion religious folks would have a melt down.. A good reason for the government to cover up a previous visitation.

  • This is brilliant :)

  • How are tsunamis created?

  • @xShadowx1357 Movement of plate tectonics in the ocean resulting in the production of pressure waves which are translated into waves of water. I think.

P.S. At 7:20 the word "explanations" is mis-spelt. Sorry to be so pedantic

  • @DiscoveringReligion I'm not quite sure what you mean when you say that 'science does not deal in truth.' Or that science does not explain what gravity is or why things fall. Or you implying that science can not explain purpose on an absolute level or...what?

  • @DazzOne2012

Yeah, pretty much. There's no intent behind the laws of nature -- they're mindless forces with no ultimate purpose. Therefore, questions like, "Why does gravity exist?" are a meaningless in science, because in order to test this we would have to know gravity's true intentions. But even if "ultimate truth" or the purpose of natural laws does exist, there isnt any evidence for it and it would be impossible to validate. When something can never be tested its worthless to science.

  • A bit off topic but.. I love that you used an Aphex Twin song. :-)

  • did you know, the Quran says there prophet took a pregnant woman, let her give birth and stoned her. where as the Bible Jesus Christ helped a pregnant woman who had comitted adultery and told the crowd her were wanting to stone her, he without sin may throw the first stone. and no one could throw. because were not perfect. Which is why he died for our sins. Extremism seems to be mainly islam. As of Jesus sacrifice we do not have to do any of the extreme things muslims still practice. my pov

  • @dontrililikepackies1

    Watch episode 19 :)

  • @DiscoveringReligion

iv seen it, im waiting for episode 20 now :D very interesting though.

  • @dontrililikepackies1 Xtians still practice capital punishment, even when presented with an actual Capital Punishment Christ gave his who is without sin directive In support CP Xtians quote an I for an I when the commandment clearly states do not not kill. Im not a student of the Quran, but it wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't allow ambiguity as the bible does

  • @dontrililikepackies1 I'm not about to excuse muslim extremism, but I will not ignore American Xtian extremism. capital punishment over reaching laws that imprison non violent persons for way too long. They have twisted the Bible to see them as God's chosen people, and all the planets resources are for them to profit from.

  • @dontrililikepackies1 dont forget Jesus though, he without sin shall cast the first stone! Christianity is about the teachings of Christ, not the lessons learned in the old testiment which is where every other relegion fails.

  • @dontrililikepackies1

christian religion is one of the biggest cause of death since it exists, since the time before and during Inquisition, and nowadays over the islamic countries because they say to you that they're "evil", and because your tv, your priest, or your neighbor says it, you just believe it, cause you were raised like that

you don't question your book, you just follow blindly and through the dark in expectation of the light outside "the tunnel of religion"

  • The easiest way of explaining a theory to a creationist is to say 'a scientific theory is an explanation of what happened based on a collection of facts, while a religion is an explanation based on mythical stories, most of them either unfalsifiable or proven to be incorrect'. If you're going to make it too complex they'll lose interest. To convince them (if you want that) you need to 1) respect them 2) treat them like a infant in terms of knowledge (without giving them the feeling they're dumb)

  • what is that interesting little guy called at 6:48 ?

  • @j2theosh1 It's called Axolotl or Ambystoma mexicanum.

  • All this is very wrong, it sounds like religion.

tTheory is not an explanation it is a model of something.

if we know that once A or B increases C also increase we can make hypothesis that C=A+B then we test it and if we prove that it match our data we declare it as theory. However there can be countless alternative theories that predict same result correctly, and are no less valid.

creationism could easily replace evolution if it would not mind to take facts into account.

  • good job explaining the word "theory" to creationists !

I have creationist classmates who took physics in college with me and still tell me "evolution is just a theory not a fact" when i speak to them about the impossibility of the six day creation story.

  • I would like to point out that , to be more rigurous, mathemathical theories are a bit different to science theories. So i think you shouldn't use them as examples in your description. For example , graph theory and matrix theory are sets of tools that are useful to work with relations or data. They don't have to explain any type of evidence that a science might find, such as fossils underground. Math is the most rigurous discipline and is very abstract.

    I agree with creationists though.

  • Also, theories do not need to be worked out in every detail in order to be useful for explaining evidence and making predictions -- for example, the theory of flight and the germ theory.

  • thank you for the video ... subscribing

  • Honestly I wish this world would allow the ideas of both. Not just complete evolution and only that alone and not just Religion alone. This world is literally capable for both. Evolution for the science behind what we are and the Religion for what we can be, instead of being creatures that have no choice but to bash each other in the head with a rock for example. Religion just helps people understand what is good and bad and help others live a better life in a certain way.

  • @Daeon10000

"Religion just helps people understand what is good and bad and help others live a better life in a certain way."

I disagree. Religion has a very dark side that most people do not want to admit. Religion is responsible for the slave trade, stonings for adultery and blasphemy, countless wars, inquisitions, suppression of gay rights, and it would have its way with evolutionary science as well! I am uploading ep 19, which discusses all of these points. I invite you to watch it.

  • @DiscoveringReligion When you say "religion", do you mean the Christian religion? Because as far as I know, Hindusim hasn't accounted for any of such things.

  • @Daeon10000 Yes there is room for both, but many don't require religion to determine right from wrong. Most mainstream Xstian denominations have reconciled science with faith The fundamentalist Xtians R the ones who have to chew on those evolution & big bang bones.

  • @Daeon10000 religion has been too often as a club because it's fellowers may justify their actions based on their religion. basic rights are denied to those who don't share the same belief system in the name of their god. the faithful thus believe that their 'god' gives and condones the right to discriminate against those viewed as unworthy.

  • @Daeon10000

I believe morals would serve the same purpose...i mean if you want to add a why to our actions :)

  • @Daeon10000 "Religion just helps people understand what is good and bad" there is no evidence for this, but there is a lot of evidence for the contrary. Even if science cannot explain 'why' something is, what makes anyone think religion can? religions have no proof other than a 'feeling' some people get. that said, yes people can believe what they want, but religions don't leave us alone, they want to change science class, they want to get rid of competing religions, they want to preach to us

  • They have monkeys in Sweden making a new nuclear powered super-computer named King Kong!

  • I just love these videos, their so informative, videos like these have made loose my grip on religious delusion and begin looking at reality for what it truly is

    thanks a lot

  • @javonne Awesome to hear! I'm watching this right now and it's pretty well done and complete. Peace!

  • in the video it was said that "man evolved from ape like creatures". But I remember reading somewhere that man is an ape. Is man (homo sapiens sapiens) an ape or did he evolve from apes?

  • @jedraj

Well, both really. Human beings did evolve from apes and technically we are still apes. Humans, chimps, gorillas, orangutans, etc., etc. are all considered "apes"; and notice how all of these species lack an external tail, which is a defining characteristic that sets us apart from monkeys and other such primate species.

  • @DiscoveringReligion

Yet apes are still technically monkeys.

Taxonomy can be really confusing that way.

  • @DiscoveringReligion we are all primates, because I don't even think other non human primates are all apes

  • fine series, but the title is a little misleading, shouldn't it be called Discovering Evolution? Not much material on religion here, and this is episode 5.

  • @thejedichazz

Did you watch ep 1-4, which discusses the creationist's perception of a young earth, the purpose of Christ, and the Flood? From ep 6-12 I refute creationist's claims there are no transitional species, humans did not evolute, etc, so obviously these episodes will be heavily science based. The title is a play on words. When someone claims they have "discovered religion" they dont also objectively examine all the facts, which this series most certainly does.

  • Excellent clip. :-)

  • Wow, where did you get that angel/demon woman picture?! Amazingly done series of videos with tons of work done I imagine.

  • what piano music is this? I want to find the music so i can play this piece.

  • @hardinmichael1981

Its "Nanou2 2.15" by Aphex Twin

  • WTF channel 4 has taken down Ep.6 anyone know if there is a mirror or somewhere i can watch it?

  • @marcarmstrong88

Hey, channel 4 must have just recently flagged my video. I am still able to access the video but it may be unavailable in certain countries. You can watch the original video at this link on youtube: watch?v=RhCDBU0ayaM

  • a conspiracy theory isn't necessarily unsupported, it's still sort of the same usage that science uses..a collection of data that only seems to make sense to support a claim..the difference is that it is much murkier and not usually scientifically connected, since it basically can't be in the strictest sense. that's one thing science unfortunately will never get a hold on.

however, obviously there are conspiracy theories made up of pure crap, but not all of them are completely full of garbage.

  • @Thrashaero name one

  • @Demockracy69 no problem. the US government was entirely unable to stop 19 jihadists from hijacking and crashing planes into buildings on Sept 11 2001.

  • @Thrashaero How exactly is this a conspiracy theory?

  • @Demockracy69 really? that's a pretty silly question. think about it before i have to waste time explaining such a simple concept.

  • @Thrashaero Someones been watching too much esoterictube.

  • Comment removed

  • @Demockracy69 excuse me? looks like someone's been succumbing to the bastardization of their language.

protip: look up the word conspiracy.

  • @Thrashaero Yes yes, bastardization okay. Go watch zietgiest again.

  • This a truly fantastic series, thank you for the hard work that went in it - it was really worth it.

  • you'd better say ..theory of sustain.. not evolution.

evolution basic is.. out of 1 kind comes another. fact that never happend.

i have seen many but you are to easy and a slick 1.

it is fine that you are an evolutionist but why do you feel the need to get ppl of of the bible? You have enough ppl who agree without talking bad about the bible.

Who does understand what is not to understand, The Why!

  • @thexplainerofwhatif I'm not sure if i understand you completely I'm guessing English isn't your first language. are you saying the theory of sustainability? because that is an economic term and has very little to do with what the video is talking about. out of one kind does come another kind changes are made over a VERY LONG TIME he explains all this and does a great job of it, if you would just pay attention you may understand. watch the whole series and you will understand.

  • "The unsaved man is spiritually dead, which means that communion with God and His intuitive promptings are dead. He doesn't get things by revelation; he only knows what he learns in his head. But if we are spiritually alive, God can show us things that we couldn't know any other way except by divine revelation." Joyce Meyer

  • @bethmb85 It sounds like you just want people to sit down and shut up and just accept what you have to say without question or comment. And when they don't, instead of engaging in a debate of ideas you immediately feel like they are fighting with you or being dramatic. You should check yourself. We are all adults here not kids in your Sunday school.

  • @bethmb85 It was this millenia and a half that brought Christianity the widespread power it enjoys today, this is all documented from ancient and modern sources.

  • Great series! *likes*

  • Wait, in a series about religion, why the f--- would you do a whole episode on the subject of science

  • Man. This guy takes Creationism to freaking town. I like it.

  • A lot of scientific theories are proven, they are observed in laboratories, the way we explain those facts are theories.

  • @xGothimox well you cant prove anything in science. proof is a term related to mathematics, and i guess law, but in science you can only find evidence to support, but all theories are tentative and can be disproven at any time. if something can be disproven at any time by new data, it can never be proven. but, some things have so much evidence that the likelihood of being disproven approaches zero, but can never quite make it.

  • @Neeboopsh sounds like you guys have a semantics issue ... =)

  • Thank you for all the effort you obviously put into this. Nice work!

  • BTW this is an excellently done video series. You could put this on dvd and sell it to public schools. Well done.

  • Theory, Scientific Sense: A scheme or system of ideas or statements held as an explanation or account of a group of facts or phenomena; a hypothesis that has been confirmed or established by observation or experiment, and is propounded or accepted as accounting for the known facts; a statement of what are held to be the general laws, principles, or causes of something known or observed.

  • what is that beautiful piano music? Awesome series by the way. These are some of the best general videos on Science V. Religion I've ever seen. Keep up the good work!

  • Eloquently explained. Excellent video series. It must be good cause I've stopped playing Starcraft 2 to watch ;)

  • "RationalWarrior(Muslim) and bethmb85(Christian)".. people like you are the reason why others are going away from Religion. Please don't try to prove one is better than the other. Learn to respect other people's views(and beliefs) and only then you and your religion will get respect.

    Peace, we all need it.

  • @LovePeaceBeer Im not a Muslim I'm an atheist who was once a Muslim. She made a false statement about Islam and I corrected her.

  • @LovePeaceBeer Thanks... But he was the one that started asking me questions.. I go to answer them, and he tries to fight with me. I am not trying to prove him wrong, I am just telling him and everyone else the truth of it all, people just refuse to listen... I won't be silent about God, because without Him everyone would be burning in hell for eternity, if there is one great thing to do on this earth its to find God before we die. Im just trying to help people do that...

  • 7:21, explanation, not expla [i] nation

  • I really like how you pointed out the similarities of how theory is used in music as well as science. I think more people are familiar with how musical theory is different from colloquial "theories", so it's a good hook for getting them to understand scientific theories.

  • Evolution is of course JUST a theory. Much like gravity and germs. Amazing.

  • It is astonishing that this video has only 1388 views. I have video's that are not even a 10th of the quality of this video and have more views. But I think that will change soon :)

  • I love your dedication and simple explanations to each subject you cover. Excellent series.

  • This stuff should be watched in school, it would be very informative. Many would argue it but not once is anything just your opinion or belief.

  • What an excellent series it's 6:16 her in France and I just can't stop watching - I need to go and get some shut eye but just can't - thankyou!!!

  • @flyingfisbeefilms

haha, Thank you very much! I am glad you enjoy the series. =)

  • @DiscoveringReligion i love how this series was put together thank you so much for your time & for sharing.

  • BEAUTIFUL, POETRY IN MOTION!

  • i wonder, where the background sound is from. creates really good mood for talking about science semantics!

  • "In our language the word believe has been reduced to mental acknowledgment of something's existence. Multitudes have prayed the sinners prayer because they were moved emotionally, only to return to their originial paths of disobedience. They continue living for themselves, all the while trusting in an emotional salvation that was void of the power to change them. What good is it to believe in Jesus when there is no change of heart, and no change in action?" - John Bevere check out his books

  • Why do you think science is constantly changing? Why do you think they can't say something is absolute FACT? Why can't they say something is absolute truth! Why have so many things said by scientists been proven wrong? Answer to all these questions - because men used their brains, and when men use their brains without the help of God, nothing is truth! God has one way, one way only, never changes, never is proven wrong, He is TRUTH! And gives it to those that ask for it.

  • @bethmb85 Things that scientists have said have been proven wrong......by other scientists. There is no concrete knowledge that can be gained thru wishful thinking and divine revelation. And this is testable....watch. Pray to see if you can gain knowledge and tell me what my biological fathers name is. If prayer is the only way to get answers then this should be a small feat.

  • @rationalwarrior What you asked for is witch craft, and I do not play with that. We ask to gain knowledge and understanding of GOD, and His WORD, and everything about HIM, with that comes the knowledge of living righteously, and living a Godly life in HIM. That is all that matters... Tell me, when you die, what are you going to take with you? What material possessions are you going to take with you in the after life? What on this world is going to make a difference to you when you die?

  • @bethmb85 I defy you to show me any real difference between praying and spell casting. In both you are imploring a supernatural being to suspend natural law for your benefit. Now to answer your question...I'm going to take nothing of this world with me. That includes religious dogma that is also of THIS world because it sprung from the minds of humans.

  • @rationalwarrior Witch craft is evil, it is done by demon spirits, talking to God is done through His spirit, which is a spirit of love. If you can't see the difference there, then you won't ever see it. I do not Use God, for my own benefit, I do not use Him at all, He uses me. I do not get "benefits" from knowing God, except going to heaven and living there for eternity rather than hell, and id rather not go to Hell. But I know God, you don't believe in Him so you won't know Him

  • @bethmb85 So let me get this straight. In order to know him I have to believe in him first? The truth is I have to have faith in people who claim to know him in order to believe any of that...and I don't because people are liars and have limited perception which can be warped and distorted. If god is real he will present evidence that he knows will convince me.

  • @rationalwarrior You are wrong in your assumptions. You shouldn't have faith in ANY PERSON! Ever. Your faith is ONLY in God and HIM Alone. You Must believe in Him for Him to even start anything with you. He requires that we believe and have faith in HIM. People are liars you got that right. BUT, God doesn't have to do anything with you, if you refuse to humble your heart to Him, He will move on to the next person that WILL Humble themselves to HIM, He WON"T MAKE you do anything. U CHOOSE

  • @bethmb85 Ridiculous. The only beings talking about god ARE humans. God says nothing. You learned about god from other people not god himself. And if I'm so low on the totem pole that he can't give me a sign that will transcend human words and books then why did he allegedly send his son to die for me? You guys need to be consistent in your message . One moment we're lowly scum and then the next minute we are his special little creatures. Which is it?

  • @rationalwarrior It is pointless you argue with a person that refuses to believe in a God, "and only wants a sign" to believe in God. Your never going to get that sign if that is all you will take. If you read the Bible, you would know things about God. Just because it was written by men, does not mean it wasn't inspired by the Spirit of God. God showed Himself to me and turned my life around in one evening, and continues to do so, because I humble myself to Him.

  • @bethmb85 Yet if I told you that islam was the only way you would not believe me. You would want proof. No muslim could come to you quoting the quran and convince you could he? So why do you think quoting the bible and rambling on with your doctrine can convince anyone else?

  • @rationalwarrior I am not worried about it convincing anyone. I know that God will do the convincing when He wants to. When He sees me talking to someone with a humble heart, He will open them up the rest of the way to get to Him. All I have to do is spread the Word and He will do the rest. Like I said though, A heart like yours, you just don't want to listen to Him so you won't hear Him, but I hope you do in the future.

  • @rationalwarrior And people could tell me anything they want to, but I KNOW GOD, I commune and talk with Him everyday all day! So how could someone else convince me of anything else?? LOL... You people really don't know the meaning of KNOWING someone do you? I could careless if you don't believe me, I don't need you to believe me, nor does God, He wants us, doesn't need us, and there is plenty people out there willing to do His Will when the time comes so....

  • @bethmb85 Wow for someone who doesn't care you have spent the last 2 days responding and even sent me an inbox message. All of those other faiths say the same thing you do.....gimme a break. They say they commune with their gods too. Muslims say it and Jews say it. One of you guys is lying or all of you have mental problems that just isn't diagnosed yet. So god's speaking to all of you at the same time telling you different things huh? Sounds like a trickster to me.

  • @rationalwarrior Actually Muslims don't say they commune with God, not like Christians do. Muslims do not acknowledge a personal relationship with Him. They just do what that book says, that is about it. Jews do not either talk of a personal relationship with God, Id like to know a Jew that talks about a relationship, the only way you CAN have a personal relationship with God is through Jesus Christ. Go look up the definition for Personal Relationship so you understand what Im talking about

  • @rationalwarrior OH, and God says A LOT, YOU just DON"T LISTEN. We have told you and told you, the Bible is His word, God will speak to you through people as well as Himself, however HE CHOOSES to speak to you. If YOU choose not to listen because YOU don't want to believe in something like the Bible, He won't make you believe it. God doesn't have to prove anything to us, He is God, We are the servants. We choose to go to Him, and He picks us up when we do. I am being consistent, open ur eyes

  • @bethmb85 Like you said "We keep telling you". Who's the we? Humans!! I got two words for you...PROVE IT.

  • @rationalwarrior Yes people keep telling you, u just refuse to believe them. Is that our fault?? NO.. its your own. So don't blame God for sending you to hell, because you are paving the way for yourself. You refuse to hear the Word of God when it is spoken to you, that is your own problem, not mine or anyone else's. You could ask God to humble your heart, and let you be sensitive to His word, But unless you try, and don't get mad about it or angry at Him, you are not going to get anywhere

  • @bethmb85 Its your fault your not convincing enough to represent god's word with logic and evidence instead of the circular reasoning that you seem to be giving me here. Watch this...The muslims have been telling you that Allah is alone and has no partners so it's a sin to equate Jesus with him. And you still won't believe? You refuse to hear the word of Allah that's your problem not min or anyone else's. See how easy it is to turn all of that nonsense around and use a different faith?

  • @rationalwarrior I already told you, I don't have to convince you of anything. I spread the word, and God does the rest, IF YOU are willing, you are obviously not willing... prolly because you refuse to believe in God if you don't get a "sign" from Him. I don't get what you wrote about allah, muslims don't believe he is "alone", they worship muhammad as much as allah, they are to never question muhammad as much as they are to not question allah. where did you learn about muslims? lol

  • @bethmb85 You don't know anything about islam. I was a practicing musilm for 5 years. And what you just said here proves you don't know anything about muslims. One of the Muslims main creeds is that you have to take your shadadah which testifies that there is no god but Allah and Muhammed is his MESSENGER. It is considered blasphemy in Islam to bind partners with Allah and is refered to as "shirk". Who's spreading lies now? Sura 29:65 in the Quran speaks against every claim you just said.

  • @rationalwarrior I work with a Muslim everyday, we constantly talk about our religions, I have read the Qur'an and still continue to study it, because I am trying to figure out where they find a Holy God in it, so that I can show them that there is nothing Godly about that book. I shouldn't have said worshiped, but they won't QUESTION ANYTHING that Muhammad says. Because there is a verse that tells them never to question anything he says.

  • @bethmb85 LOL Do yourself a favor. If you want to learn about musilms ASK MUSLIMs and stop reading christian propaganda about them. LOLOLOL You don't want to go there with me about it.....I lived it.

  • @rationalwarrior Did you actually live the Qur'an way of life, or the way American Muslims live? There is a big difference. Just because you can quote some things out of the Qur'an which you can find online in 2 seconds, doesn't mean anything to me. what are your little quotes supposed to be saying to me anyway? are those the ones your using to prove that allah is alone? We could get into a quoting match with the Qur'an.. LOL....

  • @bethmb85 Why would I lie about being muslim? When I say I practiced Islam that's what I did. They only thing I could not do is take my pilgrimage. I was a member of the Ansaarullah (aiders of Allah) Islamic sect. What do I have to take a picture of me holding a Qu'ran and post it on my channel. Gimme a break. I was a young African American male in the inner city of Baltimore who was dissatisfied with the pentecostal faith I grew up with and started practicing Islam.

  • @rationalwarrior I didn't say you were lieing about being muslim. I said that there is a big difference between a person that lives a life from the Qur'an and an american muslim. didn't say you lied about it. I can understand why you would not like the pentecostal church.. I don't either... they are twisted as much as a lot of other churches..

  • @bethmb85 We do agree on something at least...

  • @rationalwarrior Muhammad used to have seizures when he would get his "revelations", and I know at one point he thought he was possessed by demons, but his first wife (the really old one), made him believe it was an angel (Gabriel specifically), but in reality, he was possessed by demons, how else would he have been able to make a religion that over takes such a big part of the world. (it feeds to the lusts of men, not the desires of God). by the way, the Islam religion.

  • @bethmb85 The older wife you are referring to was named Khadijah. There is no historically evidence to support the fact that she was that much older then he. Her cousin Waraqah Ibn Nawfal was the one who taught Muhammad about the bible and told him that he was a prophet not her.

  • @rationalwarrior Your not even reading what I am writing, I didn't say that his wife told him he was a prophet, his wife told him that he wasn't talking to demons that they were angels. Stop arguing with me and read. She was a rich widow who got a fortune from her dead husband. She was 40 years old when they married and he was 25. I said the "older" one because after her all his wifes were in their teens and one was even 6 years old. I get my stuff from scholarly writings where u get urs?

  • @bethmb85 You just said you get your stuff from hadith. There's nothing scholarly about hadith. Name the scholars and the books. If you really did the research that you claimed you would know that correlation of her age with that of her daughter Fatimah does not support the view that she was as much as fifteen years older than Muhammad.

  • @bethmb85 Having seizures is not evidence of demons. Nor is the fact that islam has a billion followers. This is bronze age thinking. Primitive man believed this but in 2010 we know why people have seizures. He suffered from a medical condition that the people of his time had no scientific knowledge of. It's more likely that he suffered from temporal lobe seizures which causes hallucinations. You can research this. To assume something supernatural is asinine.

  • @rationalwarrior WOW... ok... lol.. this is the reason I use PM's, because these comments are ridiculous. I am done talking with you ok.... seriously, there is no use to try to prove me wrong. But I will say yes, you have to stop using YOUR brain, and use the Mind of Christ given to you when you believe in Him, that is they ONLY way to understand God, and His ways, and who He is, and everything about God. Men's reasoning doesn't get us anywhere cept where you are which is no where..

  • @bethmb85 I already proved you wrong about a great many things in Islam and gave you information that you can go look up. You've given me nothing but your doctrine and even went so far to say that you don't need to prove it. You can't prove it. It's faith...not FACT. To say you know it's true negates faith. You don't know anything....you have faith in it....and that's a big difference. You come on this video to bad mouth science using a tool of science...a computer.....fail

  • @rationalwarrior Im seriously done writing to you. You havn't proved me wrong about anything about Islam, and im sure you want me to say what. You can waist your time telling what you proved me wrong with, but it doesn't make you right. I don't get everything from the hadith, but that is Scholarly writing ABOUT Muhammads life, The older hadiths were messed up but they pulled together the ones they go by now, that were revised by Muslims scholars. Nice talking to you. GoodBye!

  • @bethmb85 God bless.

  • @bethmb85 both Pentecostals and Catholics claim to speak in tongues flop around on the floor as if possessed by the Holy Spirit are they too in the clutches of Demons? they all claim to have been touched by the divine as well as to receive some sort of revelation. may i remind you that Christianity took hold of the world because of Emperor Constantine not Yeshua. also it was the council of Nicaea which combine Yeshua and the Hebrew god into one being, they are also the ones who compiled

  • @Demockracy69 Yeshua is the original Hebrew proper name for Jesus of Nazareth, who yes, IS GOD. And yeah, some of those people speaking in tongues and rolling around on the floor is from demonic spirits, its not all God, its people that will believe everything they hear and accept it without knowing God, and testing everything they get.

  • @bethmb85 i know who Yeshua is that's why i used it. Yeshua never claimed to be god, it was determined at the council of Nicaea that they would combine the two together.

  • @bethmb85 the bible deciding which passages would stay and which would be discarded. " Emperor Constantine declares Christianity as the only official religion of the Roman Empire. At Didyma, Asia Minor, he sacks the Oracle of God Apollo and tortures its Pagan priests to death. He also evicts the Gentiles from Mt. Athos and destroys all local Hellenic temples" this is how Christianity was spread

  • @bethmb85 It was spread through the death and destruction of all other faiths at the time and continued on this route until at least the 1700's. So from around 230CE until roughly 1700CE Christianity murdered, destroyed and removed evidence of thousands of pagans, pagan shrines and temples. As well as burning whatever paper evidence there was and destroying tablets all the way to Egypt.

  • @Demockracy69 Your wasting your time. Here you are giving her dates and names and historical events that she can look up and see for herself but all she will do is say that you just have to listen to her. She'll claim you didn't prove anything even though you gave her evidence that she can look up.

  • @rationalwarrior well frankly it's not about wasting time or not, it's about conversing and the exchange of ideas. whether or not they take the time to look or not the paragraphs are there for anyone else who might come along and be interested by it. nothing i have said disproves the idea of a god in any way, it merely shows how Christianity wasn't spread by the word of Yeshua but by Roman imperialism.

  • @Demockracy69 I see your point. Besides someone else will see the info you gave and learn something.

  • @Demockracy69 Now there are quotes in the bible where Yeshua clearly separates himself from god.(Luke 18:19) However there are also quotes that have been interpreted by Christians to be Yeshua claiming godhood (John 10:30). Is this a clear contradiction and which is the true interpretation?

  • @rationalwarrior john 10:30 is often taken out of context, if you read the entire verse you can easily read that Yeshua is talking about his purpose rather then his divinity.

  • @Demockracy69 That's what I got out of the text as well but I have heard a lot of apologist attempt to use this quote. It's been a while since I studied that book because I've been trying to get familiar with biology. You seem to have a better grasp of the bible then most Christians I talk to. Thanks.

  • @rationalwarrior Apologists will also try to state that there is hell in the OT, which there is not.

  • @Demockracy69 Yeah in one debate I saw William Lane Craig attempt to pull that one out of his hat by saying that the hebrew word "sheol" referred to hell but upon further research I found that it means grave or pit. But definitely not the fire and brimstone that Christians imagine.

  • @Demockracy69 I am going to have to disagree with you on that, Jesus was talking about his purpose but He was also telling them He is God, pretty plain. The Jews were refusing to believe that He was the one they were waiting for, read John 10:22-30. He was telling them they are not of God because their eyes and ears are closed to Him and what He was doing.

  • @bethmb85 You are free to disagree as you like, you interpret they way you see it, through your faith. I on the other had interpret it through language.

  • @Demockracy69 See, that is where the problem is lol.. When you try to inturpret the Word without God's understanding of it, you can get anything but truth from it. That is what people don't understand. You can't use your mind, We are given the Mind of Christ for a reason... To use it, and not our own. Because He is not of this world.

  • @bethmb85 why the king james?

  • @Demockracy69 I REALLY have to do my homework! lol... Its 8 oclock, I will answer your questions later... kk... Just PM me... its better than writing all these comments on this guys video.

  • @bethmb85 i disagree i think its very good this way so other can view and make decisions

  • @Demockracy69 I was just saying cause you can't type much in these comments, and I don't like blowing up peoples videos.. but ok...
