  • Hey dude nice tank. Are discuses really as hard as they make it seem on the net? I've fish for many years now and have only been introduce to discus lately. I'm really interested in a few but the price plus the difficulty of keeping them has discouraged me.

  • Beautiful tank and fish!

    - Curiously, how much have you invested in the tank?

    - What are the dimensions of the tank?

    - PLEASE make a video with a commentary on how you put your tank together!

  • Comment removed

  • @notyetlaughing He says the tank is 40 Gallons so it is equal to 154 Liters so the dimension may be 120 * 40 * 30 aproximately, and well the fish tank seems to have Manglar Pieces of Wood, Amazonic Plants, Sand, Rocks, and well the fishes and besides all the equipment should be around $500 USD with no fishes but is just a guess because i know about all this stuff but lets see what he says

  • good combination,discus and many cardinaltetra's!

  • very happy and healthy fish

  • Absublutly Stunning!!!!!

  • Can Discus live together with FlowerHorn?

  • @MrZunniez

yes, but not recommended. FH tend to be aggresive.

  • @MrZunniez no way man :S Flower Horn will own them in just minutes!

  • Discus fish are beautiful to watch and keeping them is a joy!

  • Fishy kisses! :D

  • Wow, your fish are beautiful, and your tank is too! I wish I had a big tank like that. I have a medium-size tank (I can't remember how many litres) and I have 2 Angelfish and a few other little fish. They seem to get along well. I wish my Angelfish would eat from my hand though. Could you give me some tips on how to do this? Thanks, I love your video :)

  • excellent video, excellent tank.

  • Lots of happy, healthy, beautiful, Discus, in a harmonious tank, what could be better? Good work!!

  • @starmon2 Thank you! Another great comment.

  • @starmon2 the tank isvery nice but i think that two discus are in disease(1:11)

  • the blue diamond one looks so expensive. Awesome

  • WOW. Absolutely gorgeous set-up.

  • hey how many discus should i keep in 60 gallon ????

  • @illuminatusblade I would say aroun 6x, 1 per every 10 gallon

  • peaceful video

  • Which lamps and kelkin temperatures are you using? I have a comunitarium tank... But the amonia varieting between 0.25ppm and 0.50ppm on a week... Some guys say that is on the parameters but... I dont know... I will upload my tank and send you a link... I'm using eleochars as grass but its too dificult to clean...

  • Comment removed

  • That red/yellow pigeon with blue fins... What is that Discus real name? Cause I have seen that Discus at my store where I´ve bought my akvarium stuff, but cant get the real name (red pigeon, but I don´t think that´s the truth name).. My Discus is bought at a privat Discus breeder...

  • Kisses :D <3

  • the tetras are like damn move it

  • is it necessary to use RO water? also I liked it better when you had the sunny road on the video :C

  • discus is most beautiful and expensive fish

  • Wow. what an inspiration. i am just now setting up my first aquarium in over 30 years .. and the raised level of your substrate, the gravel, rocks and plant positioning is artful; the fish are pure pristine nature; the entire scene is so peaceful and colorful. and even your hand so gentle and beautiful. keep on truckin', dude; lead us into nirvana.

  • @amhung Thanks man, what a great comment!!!

  • how can you change the diet of these discus fish??

  • @1montismontis Slowly introduce new food w/ your other food. Slowly add more of the new food and less of the old food. My Discus will eat anything I put in the tank. Including my hand. ;)

  • @SteelCityFilms thanks! your advice helps alot.

  • @SteelCityFilms Thanks! your advice helps a lot!

  • are they all males? i cnt c round fins,all pointyo.o

  • @jakechan99 the discus with the black and white stripes and the discus with purple fins are females.i can tell cause i am a fish tank owner i know alot about discus

  • @TheHamsterseed well,im beginner,can u tell me hw 2 distinguish the sex??

  • 2:51 was the best part, I'm amazed at your bond with those discus. My dream tank will be 120g-150g tall, heavily planted, with a huge school of discus who do exactly as shown in the video, great tank man.

  • one of my discus got whitespot which then spread to my clown loach

    "LUCKY ME"

  • this is beautiful fish tank mate

  • are you feeding them a blood worm cube?

  • Awesome tank even cooler fish I love the discuss!! Are they full grown?

  • Wonderful discus and tetras, do you a reverse osmosis filter and how did you set it up?

  • Those are cool

  • ne kadar güzel bir akvaryum yaa

  • I'll have to disagree. Out of curiosity, what is your ammonia reading most commonly and how often do you do water changes?

  • Wow, that's a lot of fish for a 40. You have more discus than I do in a 72.

  • @felixthetrippcat they are not territorial at all, and they are very peaceful fish, you can have tons in a 72gal

  • have you had any problems with them swallowing your tetras?

  • mate that is way too overstocked, you need a tank double that size to happily house those discus

  • mate that's way too overstocked

  • extremely overstocked. 1 discus per 10 gallons of water.

They prefer 24" or taller tanks due to their high finnage and odd shape.

They do better in groups as I'm sure you figured out already, unless you keep an adult spawning pair..then that's a different story.

and Ph depends on who you got your discus from...Hans keeps his at 7.0, I keep mine at 6.0,

The biggest key to growth is multiple feedings of quality foods AND frequent (a large volumes) partials!

  • check out my latest vid of my discus

  • beautiful tank i hope this is your grow out tank and their going into a much larger tank soon

  • it's seen not seex sorry

  • hi

i am planning to put 4 pairs of discus ,5 pair of neon tetra , 2 pair of feather (i don't know it's name on internet but that's what lfs told me) and a pair of angel . can u tell me type of ur discus. did u bought ur discus at small size or at this size .if u bought at small size , were they still this much colourful ,those are the best discus i have ever seex

  • I have a 75g tank with African Cichlids. a 10g and a 14g with Community fish and I recently moved my africans from a 36 to the 75 so now.. I want to put the community fish in the 36g and get rid of the other tanks so here's my question! - I have 1 Gourami, he's king of the tank. 3 rainbow fish. 1 female bolivian ram who's happy as ever.

  • (continued)... I have 5 tetras. 1 glassfish and a baby bristlenose pleco which will grow 3" maximum.. So here's the main issue: I want to add 1 of the following: either an orange discus i've seen at my LFS for the past year, or an angel fish. With the current stock list, could I add 1 discus to my 36, in your expert opinion?

  • very beautiful discus, they look so pretty they almost look some off the HD fake aquariums

  • Man u r an expert, luv ur discus

  • Beautiful fish and they look healthy/happy but u need to upgrade and replace ur filters ur water has lots of particles. :)

  • that was effing adorable! ur so lucky!

  • is that a 40 breeder?

  • Awesome looking tank.

  • wow how did you get such an HD look! on only 360p quality. amazing

  • fucking amazing bro

  • I have a 30 gallon tank how many disucs could i put in it? with maybe some neon tetras. I have been keeping fish for years and could keep it very clean.

  • @fishlover4536 None...Discus grow BIG and need MUCH more room than that!

  • amazing

  • Are the plants alive or fake?the tank is sopritty i would think its a salt water aquarium,i hardly ever see fresh water aquriums like this!

  • Your blue discus sure are gorgeous! It's amazing they came right over to you without any hesitation. Have you ever tried stroking one with a finger? Some fish really enjoy tactile stimulation. And it can't hurt them if they have good water conditions and a healthy slime coat (which they should if they have good water)

  • Incredible video and a beatutiful range of fish.

Would you tell me the name of the song in the background.

  • Dude! you got good taste in fish and and choice of music too your great little films... keep it up! +++++

  • they are beautiful!

I keep my 4 in a 240 litre tank at 35degrees celsius, incredibly soft water, Ph6.5, Nil Ammonia, Nil Nitrite, 10-25 Nitrate (wellplanted), and they are stunning. I find my discus are far healthier and mroe colourful in my water in its current state than they have been in any other water Ive done.

  • why are discuss so expensive!

  • beautiful... prelijepo pozzz from banja luka

  • You're discus look pretty comfortable with you're hand in the tank.

  • This tank barks!!!!!! great tank, vry btfl

  • coooolll.....ur discus seem peaceful...mine are killers....they killed all 50 neon tetras in my tank....4 black neons survived atlast...:(

  • so beautiful fishes <3

  • Discus are amazingly cool. We own 6 in a 125 gallon. They love those bloodworms and won't eat anything but them.

  • those are some nice fish ya got there!

  • Comment removed

  • big fish... small tank...

its a amazing tank but wrong way to hold discus....

  • So... fucking...... adorable!!!! IT LOOKS LIKE THEY ARE GIVING HIS HAND LITTLE FISHY KISSES

  • i am jealous

  • it doesn,t get much better than that

  • When putting real wood in a fish tank, doesn't it make the fish tank messy?

  • way to overstocked dude

discus should be kept in a 70gallon tank mininum!!! with a school of at least 6 they also like tall tanks eg ..24" high becouse of there large fins your discus will only grow to 6 inches max -bcouse there's no room for them to grow , dont listen to united 404 eather discus are freshwater cichlids that love soft water about 6.8 ph and a temp of 28-31 degrees celcius, gh and kh should be set a 4dgh they also dont tolatate any amonnia-nitrite and nitrates, hope this helped

  • This looks like a good sized tank, anyways in the natural worlk, discus stay in schools and don't move around very much.

  • @0rgazmatron

no one gives a shit about smartasses like you. so stfu

  • @0rgazmatron

i am getting a 60 gallon tank, would 2 be ok in it. the other fish would be:

    -german blue ram pair

    -10 neons

    -2 albino corydoras

    -3 peppered corydoras

    -3 dwarf gouramis

    -2 otocinclus

  • @0rgazmatron some good advice but not all is true, discus grow to 8 inch not 6, and your ph is still a little high, i use pure osmosis water for my 100 gal set up, no fish has fallen ill for over 2 years now, problem is you can listen to many people about fishkeeping and everyone has there own opinion, its like tankmates, i have angels in there with them, a fully grown blue knight lobster and a 13 inch syno catfish, as well as royal pans, never had any bother from any of them,

  • @hulldav yes i agree with u there, ro/di water is very good for discus and u can house discus in most ph below 7, i keep mine at 6.8 becouse ive got plants and the ph seems to sit there nicely, if breeding in a bare bottom u can go as low as 5, i didnt say that they grow to 6"max i said his will becouse they are way overstocked and dosnt have the hieght in the tank to grow to 8 or 10'',

  • @0rgazmatron mate this helped me thanks

  • @0rgazmatron can u see the fish eating out of his hand ? that means they are fine in there. that aint no overstocked. they key is the filtration not just the tank.

  • omg, that was the best fish vid ever! i loved every second of it!

  • what tempature to you keep the water at??

  • Amazing man. Loved this

  • i've been keeping discus for years and have found they do much better in salt water

  • @United404 - would you know how much discus are usually priced?

  • £30 to £70 UK pounds. Ranging from colours to size. Based on my Local fish store.

  • Nice. You should check out some of my discus videos.

  • its my dream

  • wundervoll absolut dream from me!!!
