@shennie87 Hi, I still do because I like to floss and it is good to floss, but the water pin gets your teeth so clean in between that I never see anything. The water pik washes it all away. I would never say do not floss because dentists recommend it and I do think it scrapes away some of the sticky plaque, but you can certainly do it less
I've seen 2 kinds of waterpik. One simmilar to yous, with a hose, and a portable one. Do you think the portable one has the same strength, water pressure, as the big one?
Hi, I think the portable one is cordless. I don't know if you get the same pressure with it, but I do know that it won't be able to hold as much water as the regular one does and you will probably have to refill it several times to do your whole mouth. If you travel a lot then I would say it's fine, but for home use I would recommend the regular corded one with the hose. You only have to fill the container once to do a nice thorough job on your teeth and the water pressure is adjustable.
I'm so glad you are interested in buying one. They are fantastic and you'll wonder what you did without it. You can purchase them at any drugstore or Walmart. You can also buy them online on Amazon. That's where I buy them as the prices are great. Everyone in my family now has there own!
is there anyway to clean the o bands on the braces because i have the clear brackets with the clear bands and no matter what i do the bands turn a nasty yellowish green color so basically my question to you is how do i fix this
Hi, I think they just discolor with time. It is not necessarily an accumulation of food or bacteria, but it certainly can be if you are not cleaning properly. The water pik is one of the best things you can use to clean your teeth when you have braces. i hope you will give it a try.
Hi, i have a question about gum problems, disease, etc. when for example you brush your teeth and then blood come out is that a gum problem or disease? or its just that im using the wrong toothbrush?
Hi, it could certainly be that you have gingivitis which is caused by plaque buildup along the gum line, or you may just be brushing too hard. Be sure you are using a soft bristle brush and that you are not brushing too vigorously. Let the toothbrush do the work and be careful not to press to hard.
Hi, white gums can be a sign of some kind of inflammation, sometimes it can be caused by a fungal infection or simply using white strips to whiten your teeth. It would be a good idea for you to see your dentist and ask about this. I'm not a dentist or doctor, but it does sound like you should be seen.
Hi, not at all. It's is incredibly healthy for your gums to be stimulated by the pressure. It brings blood flow to them and actually helps prevent gum disease. Over a long period of time you actually have more benefit from it.
Waterpiks have different pressure settings. You can set the water to come out really light, moderate, or very forceful. I have had mine for almost a year and it really does work wonders! Always good to use before brushing because it loosens up particles that may be stuck to your teeth and gums.
Amazing! I need to find one of these maybe. I never had cavities and my teeth is always at its best. In fact they are rather white as well..I never heard of this and I'm glad to hear it exist and I am willing to give it a try. Thank you sooooo much! ;D
Thank you so much for this great tip! I always have trouble getting my son to floss. This looks like a great way to encourage him flossing , since he would feel the clean , he will probably take the extra tip and grab the floss.. thank you so much :)
Hi, now you don't have to worry so much if he doesn't floss because this does such an amazing job of cleaning in between your teeth. That's how I felt when I bought my son one.
What a great tip !! I still have my wisdom teeth and am going to have braces put on so this is just so helpful ! Where can I buy a water pik please ? Thank you again !
Looks great! Kind of loud, though. Do they make quiet models? The camera keeps shaking. Normally, the camera doesn't shake in your videos. Sorry to complain, as I do love your videos. A water pik. What a good idea. =)
It is a little loud, but sounds worse in the video because the sound echos off the bathroom walls into the microphone. If you get one, you will love it. Let me know if you do.
ive got the same one that u have, but i also have a portable one that comes with a charger and its basically only the wand with a chamber for the water. they are very good for my braces and the portable one's also fun to play with. :P
That looks like a very cool device. Where might one buy one of those, and how much do they cost? I am definitely interested in investing in one of those.
And finally i have a good idea for what to get my father for christmas! He is so hard to shop for, and he is very serious about dental hygiene.
Hi, I'm so glad you liked my video. They really are terrific and I think everyone should use one; that's how much I love it. You can buy them in drugstores like CVS, also Walmart. They run about $35-45. Try to find a sale and you can get it for $35. They do make a wonderful Christmas gift! thanks for sharing that. I gave my mom one last Christmas and she loves it. Your dad will too.
