Most of what he said in criticism of this impractical but amazing machine is dead on. it doesn't actually use jet power thrust to work, it transfers turbine motion to the transmission which turns the wheels, not like an airplane where it blasts a jet flame from the turbine to the rear.

The engine is really an Allison Model 250 Engine developed under General Motors ownership in the 1960's. Brilliant GM engineering. The former Allison company is now owned by Rolls-Royce.

Its a pure show piece.Turbines are horribly inneficient at normal street speeds.If you were blasting down some highway city to city at 140mph your gas mileage ratio would go way up compared to city driving.
