yeh, alot of greyhounds die or are abandoned by bad owners from the races, i actually own an greyhound which i got from a rescue centre after he had been left in a coal bunker to starve for 3 weeks. he is now fully healthy and doesnt really seem to miss his tail much, certainly doesnt stop him from running in circles for about 30 seconds every day! but yeh, the rest of the time he is upside down on his bed :P
