It's real glass, I'd guess it's a plant simply because one of Coney islands top performers does this and it's teh only stunt he won't teach. You can't make a sugar light bulb that will light it will melt. The glas pieces won't do any damage in your stomage because there the sharp edges are bluntened by the gastric acid. The only place wher you could cut yourself would be in the mouth. thas why you have to be very careful there.

It gotta be a fake. If we could exclude the EXTREME amount of pain included what happens is that if you do that, as you chew it, it will shread your gums and tong and you would start spiting huge amounts of blood long before swallowing the bits. When trying to swallow, the bits would cut your vocal corhds and then stuck/hook themselves in your pharynx. You won't be able to speak (probably never again) and the doctor opening you up trying to clean your mess would be due to long overtimes.

I don't think so. I suspect that a lightbulb is much thinner glass than a wine glass or mirror that you're probably thinking of. I saw my Malay uncle do exactly this - eat the glass of a lightbulb. Well actually after watching this video i did a little research on the whole glass eating thing and saw that a bunch of other people do that as well.I guess if you could gring the glass into sand small pieces, like the one it was originally created,then i guess, it would be safe to let it work its way through the stomach and the bowels and be excreted safely. However,i don't know if anyone can do that. One thing for sure is that YOU CAN'T DIGEST this thing no way,so it's gotta be something else.
