However, here is where I keep getting stuck: If Khalil Musa was being used as a "hostage shield" for negotiating purposes between warring factions... why kill him after they have reached an accord? Either Rodrigo Rosenberg was in fact killed by the government, as he so denounced, or by people who: 1) Knew about the video, and 2) Had interest in seriously hurting the government. Interestingly, Luis Mendizabal, the guy who distributed the video, is a well-known mob and a very dangerous person involved in obscure activities. The Guatemalan newspaper elPeriodico (online edition at least) published on May 17 an in-deep interview with him. Worth reading...

However, here is where I keep getting stuck: If Khalil Musa was being used as a "hostage shield" for negotiating purposes between warring factions... why kill him after they have reached an accord? Si el sabia que lo ivan a asesinar; porque no saco una copia de este video y se la dio al supuesto asesino? y decirle que si algo le sucedia este video saldria a la luz. Asi hubiera detenido al asesino. Porque espero a que lo mataran? Porque el sabia que no lo ivan a matar. Sabia que el Presidente Colom no sabia nada de esto. La oposicion lo obligo a hacer el video.
