  • this place is funn. i just went there a few weeks ago. did the 1st creek crossing and the rest was closed for the big horn sheep. going to plan a trip in october. i dont have a jeep, but i want one on day. dont know whos all going, but from what it looks like is all full size and some midsize trucks. and yes im taking my expo. haha looks like you guys had a blast. any tips or things to watch for? o and how you like S22? funn down hill huh? my brakes smelled REAL good after. haha

  • Sorry, Posted in the wrong place. I'm new to posting remarks on you tube. My wife bought me a jeep 07 JK and we go off road all the time with the kids, but alone. If you know of any local jeep clubs in the Orange County area that you can recommend that are family oriented and just want to have fun, I would appreciate and heads up? Looked into a few clubs, but they were a younger crowd that just like to just get crazy.

  • @bofaramous come visit us at w w w . jk-forum . c o m. we post up runs and events in the socal sub-forum all the time. we do a lot of camping trips, easy runs and harder ones as well and they're all family oriented and far from crazy. my wife and i are in orange county so i do hope you'll join us some time :)

  • @bofaramous Thank you for that info. Wow! I need to proof read my posts lol. This is a cool video and you guys seem down to earth and just having fun. I will be defiantly looking into the JK forum. Thanks again.

  • What were you guys cooking in the bags boiling in water? I am always looking for more trail eat options!

  • @mbputman74 omlettes - just pop some eggs and cheese in a bag, add whatever extras you want and boil. super easy to do and no clean up

  • @wayalife Was that a snapped axle housing at the end there???

  • @surfdogdude if you can believe it, yes.

  • @wayalife That's crazy because when I think of Coyote Canyon, it has never seemed that difficult to snap an axle like that.

  • @surfdogdude it's not a difficult trail and it's not what snapped his axle. the housing was brittle and it just broke. his is not the only one we have seen broke and all the ones we have seen weren't doing much of anything at the time.

  • @wayalife I had mine reinforced with internal sleeves and gussets @ off Road Evolutuon a while back. It makes me think it was money well spent, although seeing how easily that snapped, I hope it was enough.

  • @mbputman74 Wow! looks like a cool place to go off roading. I have a Jeep JK 07 4X4 that my wife bought me and we are always off roading alone with our kids. Do you know of any jeep clubs in Orange

    County? That are mellow.

  • saw you guys when you were in vegas a while back. nice group of people. keep having fun.

  • Do y'all ever let CJ, YJ, and TJ Wranglers come along?

  • all the time!! if you're interesting in joining us, check out the socal section of jk-forum . com - we post up runs there all the time.

  • I've got a TJ Wrangler, and would definitely like to go with an experienced group like you to learn more about off-roading, but alas, I live in Texas. Do you know of an groups like y'all in the DFW area of Texas?

  • Did you guys run the Squeeze?? Heart Attack Hill?? Those are fun little stops out there too...

  • did he break it going through the creek?

  • nope, he was just driving down a sandy wash. in all my years of wheeling, i have seen axles bend but not shatter like this nor have any of my friends in the industry. this was clearly just a bad axle and it did get replaced under warranty.

  • how the hell did he break that housing like that? did he give it a good lick on a rock or something? time for some sleeves...

  • he wasn't doing anything except driving down a sandy wash and naw, no sleeves are needed. a normal axle housing would have bent if hit but this one was defective/brittle. he got it replaced under warranty and i've only seen 3 others break like this and all on early 2007 model jk's. i have not seen any break like this on 2008-up.

  • glad to hear it was replaced under warranty

  • Awesome Video.... Looks like a GREAT time!

  • what's the skinny on the JK at 0:55 seconds? mine is like that and i like how it's built! i like them all! haha

  • Jeeps or Range Rovers? Jeeps... <3

  • for the rubicon JKs don't that have like a switch to disconnect and connect the sway bar links? I might be wrong but, just learning.

  • only the rubicon models have the switch. the x and sahara models do not.

  • So with the Sahara and X models do you have to unlock them with pins or do they just have regular solid axles that come with them? Thanks

  • all the jk's have solid axles. the sahara and x models simply do not have a sway bar disconnect motor. you will have to unbolt them manually if you wish to wheel disconnected.

  • Thanks for the info wayalife. Keep the vids coming they are great. =)

  • @wayalife some unlimiteds X/Sport models have them now, it's a new option

  • oo I knew that, I was talking about when all of you were parked on the side of the road and checking up on your JKs. Just wondering.

  • oh, i'm sorry, i must have misunderstood you. we were airing up our tires and reconnecting our sway bar links :)

  • what were you guys doing at the starting of the credits?

  • we were making omlettes in a bag :)

  • egibdgou, yeah, I know how you must feel. I once too had to sell my Jeep and was one year without and it was a hard time. But time passed by and I was able to get another Jeep wich I'm still driving today. So, never keep up. Keep open for new developments and take your chances. Good luck!

  • Another great Project-JK video! I especially like the geocaching and foodie segments... Heck that's all I want ot do anymore.

  • Woohoo, just in time to get us psyched for this year's run! What an awesome time we had.

  • I Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow. everytime i see any one of these videos it makes me want a jeep more and more! wow i would love the to experience taking it to some amazing place like this! i will one day with you guys. i will. thanks for the vids cuz it makes my day. :)
