maybe its just me but i don't think that he should have a chain on at that age, and when teaching a horse to trot on the ground you should be beside him (but thats just my opinion) he's very pretty
I honestly didnt want to,we didnt use the chain for a while but he was so bad at walking on the hatler at first. We corrected it fast and now he doesnt even need a lead XD, plus i was a bit too pushy as well but we've both improved
I got a baby as my first horse too. I think it builds more of a bond than a horse that knows it all already. You learn new things along with them (cause no matter how long you've been riding, you never know it all...always more to learn!) Hope you're keeping busy with the ground work until you can finally ride him!I got my horse at two but have been completley trained him from ground work to riding. Lots of hard work but its so rewarding! Good luck!
also ,usually his knees and white markings are brighter than the sun,but he rolled that day,and his knees got muddy, lol,it kinda looks like he hurt them or somthing,he's a silly clumsy goose.
what a kwinka dink..my horses name is nico too..just spelled different...my other ones dreamer..i got more but i dont wanna tkae up too much space...hes adorable...
lol thank u very much, yes i have been riding for 7 years but this is my first horse,i know that first time horse owners are supposed to get older 'been there done that' horses but i thought raising him myself would make a great bond between me and him. Yeah i had a share lease on two named Buster and a TB named Big John, but i never dreamed of owning a paint, till i saw neiko..lol. horses are just wonderful.he already had the name when i got him,it just fits i think. dreamer is a pretty name too
yea ive had dream since birth. shes 4...i love her to death she follows me every where...my nico is like 3 months...dreams cousin...dream had a baby two days ago...i need name ideas got any??reg. name i deas??
lol, yeah, mine's only 6 month's. i can't wait either,he'll have some nice movments.he's just sorta lazy right now,it takes me forever to get him into a trot. ;)
