This video is very biased. 1. In both of the videos of Gomi and Pulver, BJ has knee wraps on. This provides grip. You see Jiu Jitsu guys wear it a lot. 2. The guy who made the video does not know about martial arts. Example being "BJ's signiture leg lock". First of all, it is not called a leg lock... it is a high guard. Secondly, there is nothing signature about it. It's very basic jiu jitsu. What is a little more "signature" is BJ's rubber guard. But you never showed that.
Third, BJ has never fought a guy as powerful, and explosive as GSP. GSP gets past everybody's guard. Fitch's guard had never been passed... until he fought GSP. Fourth, you edited the video to make it look like vaseline was applied directly to the shoulders. You didn't show how it was put all over his face. The hands rubbing his shoulders may have had some residue left over, but vaseline was not directly applied to the shoulders like you edited the video to imply.
In addition to that, you also did not show how whatever little bit of residue was left over on his shoulders, was wiped off by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
And your video of GSP vs BJ was during the second round. That is more than enough time for sweat to do the same thing - cause BJ's legs to slip. Sweat makes it hard for jiu jitsu guys... it's not a secret.
Because Gomi is naturally 145, St. Pierre fights at 170, but goes into a fight weighing 185. Thats a huge difference, Penn has never tried his guard on someone thats coming into the fight as a middleweight.

Actually, there is a way more logic explanation than vaseline for this: First look at the fight with Gomi: BJs feet are completely crossed (You see that very well at 0:38).
Now in the fight with GSP: At 0:54 you see, that his feet are not crossed as much as in the fight before, and he holds his lock mostly with his toes. GSP puts pressure on the hold by lifting his hips and breaks it.
Plus: The vaseline might be on GSPs back, but the hold breaks at BJs feet. Did they grease them up as well?

On the UFC web site it mentions nothing of greasing agents of anykind being illegal. While Prides website states that greasing was indeed illegal. If greasing is illegal in the UFC, why no mention of it in their rules??? Personally I don't think vaseline is a whole lot different then sweat or blood.

This video is very biased. 1. In both of the videos of Gomi and Pulver, BJ has knee wraps on. This provides grip. You see Jiu Jitsu guys wear it a lot. 2. The guy who made the video does not know about martial arts. Example being "BJ's signiture leg lock". First of all, it is not called a leg lock... it is a high guard. Secondly, there is nothing signature about it. It's very basic jiu jitsu. What is a little more "signature" is BJ's rubber guard. But you never showed that.

Third, BJ has never fought a guy as powerful, and explosive as GSP. GSP gets past everybody's guard. Fitch's guard had never been passed... until he fought GSP. Fourth, you edited the video to make it look like vaseline was applied directly to the shoulders. You didn't show how it was put all over his face. The hands rubbing his shoulders may have had some residue left over, but vaseline was not directly applied to the shoulders like you edited the video to imply.

Actually, there is a way more logic explanation than vaseline for this: First look at the fight with Gomi: BJs feet are completely crossed (You see that very well at 0:38).
Now in the fight with GSP: At 0:54 you see, that his feet are not crossed as much as in the fight before, and he holds his lock mostly with his toes. GSP puts pressure on the hold by lifting his hips and breaks it.
Plus: The vaseline might be on GSPs back, but the hold breaks at BJs feet. Did they grease them up as well?

BJ Penn a whiny bitch, who throughout his entire career has complained about his losses and made bad excuses. Maybe if the idiot would actually work on his cardio, and not slack and go to parties while he's supposed to be training(This has actually happened quite frequently). I'm pretty sure I just watched GSP beat the shit out of the so called "Younger and stronger, Muay Thai Wrecking ball" Even with a pulled groin. It definitely takes a man to do that. Pen has won against crap fighters, and don't give me that Sean Sherk bullshit, Sean's old, and is a roider.

On the UFC web site it mentions nothing of greasing agents of anykind being illegal. While Prides website states that greasing was indeed illegal. If greasing is illegal in the UFC, why no mention of it in their rules??? Personally I don't think vaseline is a whole lot different then sweat or blood.

Also the fights you showed in this were all in the first round , not deep into the 3rd or 4th round when you are all kinds of sweaty also being active on the ground you perspire more (your body heat and your opponets) Bj got outskilled period and the vasoline thing was between rounds 3-4 not 1-2-23 and he was getting hammered in all previous rounds by gsp , and penn quit period hes a 155 fighter no a 170 he got lucky against Hughes the first time and hasnt had a win @170 since
