  • actually...how can any1 dislike this song...good n meaningful lyrics...good melodies...what more do u want...

    how sad..

  • Sweet little song.

  • Perfect Pop! :D

  • I thought this one about one girl.......then i found my heart under my bead

  • You are the woman that I've always dreamed of

I knew it from the start...

I saw your face and that's the last I've seen of my heart....

Yes it's true...I do love you!

  • 13 dislikes, that's pretty funny. Why would you dislike this?

  • This song brings memories flooding back. In 1983, I was 25 & had gone to a social gathering. The front door of the home opened & in walked a tall, good-looking, older guy carrying a guitar case. Our eyes met as he walked into the room. We were together from that moment on. We spoke of marriage. We're now married to others. But, he sang this beautiful song for me often. Everytime I hear it, I remember. Thank you, Steve. I hope you know that you are "the one that got away." ~annie

  • @58ginannie

ohh how sweet. Almost bittersweet since you guys didnt end up together. but you still remember him. very cool.

  • @nycnin Thanks! I should've added that In 2004, I had an impromptu chance to see "the one that got away." He looked so much older than I remembered, but still was the same sweet guy that swept me off my feet 29 yrs. ago. What do you do with that kind of a moment? As old friends would, we chose to have a heart-to-heart, giving me a chance to say certain things that I needed to say. We spoke parting words of, "We won't say goodbye; but instead, see you later," & "Be happy."

  • Man, some of the 70's music is still timeless.

  • Soft rock/easy listening mid to late seventies music. Beautiful Melody, nice, simple, and clear. They don't make 'em like they used to. Amazing Group/Amazing song!!

  • i have never heard of Firewall, despite being a music fan - i am a real sucker for a beautiful melody and a sentimental lyric , this appeals to me at a number of levels - very nice.

    i'm guessing firewall was/is a californian/west coast outfit.

  • Memories of my senior year in high school, my then boyfriend and I said we would get married when we got a bit "older". We were together (on and off) for a little more than 5 years. He used to dedicate this song to me. I wonder where he is now.

  • i remember listening to this song when i was 5! now im 13 and i still love it!

  • Use to hear this on the radio when I was a kid. in the 70s. I would sing it.

  • Thought the eagles did this. but i always liked this song. easy, pleasnt, good memories of my child hood in the 70s.

  • It's kinda cute when my dad sings this to my mom... just so long as he doesn't do it around me.

  • I wish this stuff would come back into style! :(

  • It was 1989 and I was a drummer with a band and we were invited to a party. When I saw the girl who was hosting the party, OMG, There she was, The woman that I've always dreamed of. Cute, Funny and tough as all hell. Shortly after we starting dating. Fast forward to 2012 and we will be married almost 20 years. She is a great wife, Mother and dear friend to me. Just wanted to share that with all other viewers. Happy New Year!

  • @THEATREofPAIN270 good luck with your marriage I hope you stay happily married for years to come

  • @NewBoundStuff Thanks for the kind words. I am a lucky guy. Have a great night.

  • @THEATREofPAIN270 You Sir are one lucky man..

  • another idealistic song for me, with the gal i couldnt win over, kitty...damn....u are the woman and always be the one i want for life and ever..i'll die to win u over and get u back..it would be worth dying for...x0...love u..0x0x0x0x

  • How do you listen to 720 pixels?

  • @coltsfan1989 Upgrading the resolution also increases audio resolution in proportion on youtube.

  • me too buddy...lots of hair...for the most part todays music sucks..big donkey you know what..

  • I always link this song with my first love

  • I REMEMBER TEACHING RICKY CASTRO HOW TO KISS TOO....YOU BROTHER AHART (SP) TOLD ME HOW I BROKE YOUR HEART.....I PROMISE DIDNT THINK I DID....YOU WERE QUITE MEAN AT THAT TIME...DO YOU REMEMBER????

  • I REMEMBER RICKY CASTRO DEDICATING THIS SONG FOR ME... DO YOU REMEMBER???

  • Needs more flute!

  • Our entire society is about nonsense...not just the music...so it is no wonder that it the way music has gone (it is about the cha-ching, not the heart and soul)

  • The music I grew up listening to in the 80's and the 90's doesn't hold a candle to the music in the 60's and 70's.

  • @MrAndyg36 Same happened to me. After "discovering" music from 60's and 70's, I sent to hell what I thought was great ( 80's crap ).

By the way, Rick Roberts released two fine albums, in '72 and '73, before forming Firefall.

  • yesssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!! its a beautifull song, reminds me a good moments of my life. I like it so much!!!

  • You folks from the 50's 60's and 70's are so so fortunate! You guys had it all musically!

  • beautiful song... love it... what happen to the days where love was forever

  • There is just so much hate in the world now that people can't even write a song like this anymore..

  • Rick Roberts performed Ten of his Original Songs from the "Firefall" Band that he founded during Our Wedding Ceremony October 29, 2011 in St. Augustine, Fl. at "Castle Otttis". My Husband was in the Band in the 80s with Chuck Kirkpatrick who also performed in Rick's Band. "Just Remember I Love You" was Sang by Rick during Our Unity Candle Ceremony...OMG! Rick is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is releasing New Music on I-Tunes as a Solo Artist soon :)

  • 720p, long time no see...

  • I saw them in 1976 with Fleetwood Mac and Peter Framton in Austin, Texas at an event called Sunday Break. 10 bands that day and Firefall opened at 10 am with England Dan and John Ford Coley following them. Great concert. I had a blast! I was 21 years old and thought I knew everything. We all survived, but I don't know how.

  • I'm surprised the producers didn't insist on the band using a studio drummer. Clark's drumming live was acceptable, but he was marginal in the studio. The kick drum goes out of time at 0:30, something that would never happen with a studio pro.

  • I don't care what kind of songs people like, just so long as I can still find the good stuff. And this is.

  • I'm not really a fan of this sort of music typically, but I was a kid in the '70s and I loved this song then, and I love it now. It's just perfect, and it sets a mood in a way few other songs do. There is no song that takes me back to being 12 years old and carefree like this one does. Perfect.

  • Haven't heard this song in 20 plus years....but I still love it!! :)

  • Its the special way you look at me! Excellentt song!

  • Ines, i meet you and that was the last that I saw of my heart.

  • Hate this stupid song. My husband has been romancing another woman for 9 years and sent this song to her. So quit being a chicken - go get her!!!

Glad to know you never fucking dreamed about me!

  • @charlestonspitfire damn straight id cheat on you to

  • @BBBHafnerLePlaNJamco

    And which whore are you?

  • @charlestonspitfire Just because your husband is an asshole, has nothing to do with this song, DUMP Mr. dumbass

  • @ballsackbillie

You are sooooo right! And now I have dumped him. The only women he dreams of his whores! Your right this is an upright song - he is an asshole.

  • @charlestonspitfire good for you i don't call my x asshole anymore he's upgraded to whole-ass now among any other names that i can think of for him good ridance as far as my daughter and i are concerned life goes on lol....

  • @charlestonspitfire Your personal take on it, doesn't change that it's a nice song, sorry.

  • Great song, The music was so innocent back then.. Firefall and air supply are my two favorite bands for easy listening

  • Listening to this on the radio and youtube at the same time. Aww yeah! :D

  • im 19 and always hear this song on road trips with my uncle ever since i was 5.

  • Oh yeah thanks for uploading this song. this song came out when me and my first girl friend got together. I was her first boyfriend also. thinking of you michelle k i'm still in 1000 palms ca waiting for you....

    .....

  • is this the soundtrack to the game? dissapointing..

  • I love the music from the seventy's... Music was Original, & Uplifting!!!! I was in my teens when Firefall was at their Peak.... Sad to see so many groups split up when they had so much going for them!!!! Cinderella was definately my fav!!!

  • I love the music from the seventy's... Music was Original, & Uplifting!!!! I was in my teens when Firefall was at their Peak.... Sad to see so many groups split up when they had so much going for them!!!! Cinderella was definately my fav!!!

  • Where's the 1970's live video of this song I seen when this song was new?

  • Great tune, no doubt a classic. No matter how many times I hear it, I still say the vocalist sounds like Paul Simon.

  • For the longest time this song would come on the radio and I would say "I need to remember this song!" Then time would pass and I would slowly dim as to what the song was that I wanted so badly to remember. The other day in the store I was talking to the cashier when I stopped midsentance and exclaimed, "This is it! I love this song! I must look it up!" And here I am :) Sometimes even Pick-N-Save can solve someones greatest question.

  • @TheBchsbandgeek That kinda reminds me of this old episode of "Married With Children" whem Al was trying to find a song that was stuck in his head. But yes this is a great song.

  • so why does this song only have 126,768 views??

  • This song came out the year i was born!! They had some good music back in 1976!!!!

  • @ChessieSeaboardX chessie, i was just looking at the songs i have bookmarked...& i am surprised by how very many of them are from 1976 specifically!! so yeah, you are so VERY right!! :)

  • you r the woman

  • My soon to be husband jus dedicated this song to me, we are both 25, this is an amazing song and i am for sure gonna play it at our wedding !!!!!!!

  • I saw your face, and that's the last I seen of my heart... <3

  • i'm only 16, but i just want to say that i find this song absolutely amazing. honestly, i like the older music better than what passes for music nowadays. dont get me wrong, there are some good songs now, but the 70s, 80s, and 90s had some of the best music ive ever heard, and i wish i had been alive in the the 70s and 80s and could remember most of the 90s so i could hear all of these songs back then and have the proper amount of time to savor how great they are before todays music

  • @amat1504 Same here!

  • @amat1504 Im 15 and feel the same way, but then i remember what point would this song be to me if the girl this best describes won't exist for another 26 years D:

  • @amat1504 i cant agree more

  • I had a girl then, she was beautiful and young .

  • Crap....I was only 2 years old when this came out,but most of the music I love the most was from the 50's 60's and 70's....you were all blessed with the greatest music hands down! Find any newly made music capable of moving you down deep.....good luck with that!

  • @MrAndyg36 You and I are definitely on the same page. I agree with you hands down, 100%. I was 3 when this song came out and remember it vividly. I also like music from the 50s, 60s and 70s the best. I like some 80s too, especially the early to mid 80s. Late 80s had fairly decent music but by the time the 90s started to roll around that all changed. Some 90s was okay. We need good music like this for today's generation / era. It seems good music is hard to come by these days.

  • Oh dear, 1976, I just graduated high school. How many times I listened to this wonderful song and now all the great memories of a time long gone but never forgotten

  • Such a beautiful song. Yes, why can't people think and sing like this anymore? Materialism and looks are transitory - love and romance are forever. Nowadays its all about sex, drugs and stupidity. Basically, today's music has devolved to nonsense. bring back songs like this. Bring back the 70s!

  • @59Skott Amen to that!

  • @cholly853 I agree!!

  • @59Skott dont forget computers and video games

  • @59Skott "love and romance are forever". Yeah, tell that to my ex wife! LOL! But seriously, yes, a lot of today's songs leave a lot to be desired. Then again, we had crap songs back in the day, too. We just managed to forget them!

  • It is on my bucket list to have a man write a song just like this for me!

  • @p2p838 Well, if you're ever in NYC, drop me a line. I'll see what I can do. Warning: I'm old enough to remember when this song was on the charts.

  • Made the posters for a cancer research concert they played in Nevada in 2003. Got to play some music with them after the concert. Though my playing was not nearly equal to theirs they were gracious and encouraging as we enjoyed relaxing after the show. A great group and very open and friendly. Have always enjoyed their music.

  • I agree I wish it like this as well. Maybe they are outther but where? Cause Im still here there must be more of us ... lol

  • This song takes me back to the days when I had hair

  • Comment removed

  • @bell573 LOL..you rock!

  • I have a girl I like she is pretty but I would just rather be with her thats how I feel

  • Firefall hit #9 in Billboard, 12-11-76. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Sure wish Rick Roberts would come back to the band full-time. It doesn't sound the same without him singin' the songs.

  • 7 people are not the woman he's always dreamed of.

  • @cyangiraffe Lmao!

  • I saw them in concert on May 20th, 2011. They were fantastic, they sounded exactly the same live as they do on this studio version of the song. It was an amazing show, I'm so glad I got to see them live.

  • Uauuuu!!Meu amor que lindo!!!!!;-))))Te amo!!!!

    Voce é tudo de bomm♥Te adoro!M&R♥♥Para sempre♥

  • We need more songs like these nowadays. I drive my friends nuts (being 21) when this is what im blaring versus their rap and heavy metal.

  • @Firefoxred YOU JUST HAVE GOOD TASTE IN MUSIC THATS ALL

  • This song has always seemed to me to typify the essence of the sound of the 70's - a catchy melody, an upbeat tempo, and an easy delivery. True pop music (I say) reached its apex in the 70's - and unfortunately, it's been a long, slow slide down ever since. A marvelous tune, thank you for posting

  • This Soft Rock is going at it Hard lol

  • where's the lyrics? good music anyways.!

  • Pure Gold!

  • 6 people thought the dislike bar meant "dis i like"

  • Everytime I listen to this song I have to hear it at least twice... <3

  • i rember seeing them open for HEART, then mark andes became ann wilson's boyfriend

  • How are there 6 dislikes?

  • i went to the states for the first and only time in 79 and was introduced to the sounds of firefall and aerosmith, and i still love the mucic today,i was hoping to find a tune by firefall called "just think" and it had a great guitar instrumental in the mid section wish you guys could hear it ......fucking awesome

  • @livvyandhelen1999 how dare you bring up norbit.

  • Memories of my favorite dance...

  • My name is Rick Roberts, and I wrote and sang this song. I just wanted to say thanks for all these wonderful comments. I had never thought to check for responses. Comments like these make writing worth while!

  • @22toreador Thanks for writing the tune. I heard it while working in a restaurant. For years they played it on the piped in music system. I have fond memories of it playing in the background during my youth.

  • @22toreador HEY, RICK. CAN YOU POST "DOLPHINS LULLABY" & "PIECE OF PAPER"????IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!....HONEY, FIREFALL HAS SOME DIEHARD FANS---NOW & ALWAYS!!!!! SAW FIREFALL IN TULSA, SEEMS LIKE A CENTURY AGO! OH, MAN. WE ARE GETTING OLD, AREN'T WE????

  • @missbjg I love Firefall, grew up in the late 60s and 70s... Love that group... listen to them on CD in my car. In 1976 I had a New 1976 Pontiac Grand Le Mans with a 8 Track! anybody remember those. Had Firefall on 8 track riding around with the windowns down and Firefall blasting! Those were the good days, I miss those times. Thanks for sharing.

  • ONE DISLIKE????? SHOOT THAT MOTHERFUCKER IN THE HEAD!!!! hahahaha

  • Yadda yadd yadda if only music today could be this good? yadda yadd yadda

  • damn, the word woman is rare in songs these days. they are called bitches now.

i wish i was alive in the '70s

  • @jebemteufacu I feel sorry that you did experience the wonderful 70's. We had Big Wheels, you have Xbox, We roller skated, You play Xbox, We built forts to play in, You have Xbox, We rode our bikes with friends all day-unsupervised-You have Xbox, We had Star Wars, You have Twilight + Xbox.

  • @MrVeesworld

Actually I did all that stuff, and I don't have Xbox.

  • @MrVeesworld Well said!

  • mark andes was ann wilson's boyfriend while in heart

  • white people made some good easy listening music in the 70s. brings back good memories of my childhood.

  • @veeseee128 hahaha White people...truth

  • Happy feel good song. Makes me feel good . walkin down the street on a sunny day.

  • @guineapiglover123....

my boyfriend sings me this song all the time, and i can guarantee you he (and many men still like him) think this way.... it warms my heart and gives me butterflies every time he looks me in the eyes when he sings this....

    rdfciv <3

  • @Roscette29 There's a lot of us out there.

  • Thanks, the other one on Youtube has one guy singing off key the whole way. Thanks.

  • I'm 25, today is the first time I've ever heard this song, it is a great song!

  • Great Band! soothes my soul!

  • life gave me the woman ive always dreamed of. . .i'm a coward and let her pass me by. i wish i could say i was good enough for her. :-/

  • @SniperZaku that's where the tragedy lies, not that you weren't worthy, but that you lost the opportunity because YOU believed you weren't worthy. Seriously, LOOK at some of the guys dream girls wind up with.Sometimes it's because all the guys they wanted were too intimidated to make a move.

  • Looks like somebody missed the "like" button.

  • Mark Andes stole my 8-ball.

  • nice, fun lyrics. happy song that makes you feel happy when you hear it. nice melody and a nice foot-tapper... just an all around good song

  • their entire repertoire is good.

  • i love this song

  • One my favorite songs from 1976. There was a little more heart in the music they wrote back in the seventies.

  • great seventies music!

  • Awesome!! Have ALWAYS loved Firefall!!!

  • I like this song. Never heard of this group. I thought the eagles did this song or the ramblin bros.

  • 1976?...I was only 16 at this time and wished to have someone feel this way about me then, what secret memories of a 16 yr old!!!....Man, "he" finally came along three years later and we've been married for 31 years now!.......... Whoopie!!!

  • @nativeheartiAM that's sweet

  • @nativeheartiAM Yeah I'm 18 now but 3 of the girls I've been with would probably laugh at me if I expressed my feelings this way...This generation sucks, skanky spoiled brats and bitchy girls, my ex used to fix her hair for over half an hour and that's just the hair. Congrats on that btw 31 years wow that's a long time.

  • @kaziabir1 Got a song for ya!..."Love Will Find A Way" by Pablo Cruise. Another 70's hit. My first crush ditched me as he was living in lifes fast lane. I met my guy in front of a bowling alley. There's a beating heart out there waiting for you to come along. Maybe somewhere you've never dreamed it would be!

  • @nativeheartiAM I was 23 when this song came out & i used to play it in bands I was in. Congratulations!!!!!!!! I'm 58 now and I'm insanely jealous of you, and insanely happy for you at the same time! YOU GO GIRL!!!!!

  • @gwscarborough TY! I thought during this time period that it was a most difficult time. But it was all about "me" and how I felt. I never wondered how the rest of the world was doing "outside the box!" you know? I know realize how times were much much simpler back in the 70's.

  • @nativeheartiAM Congratulations Native...PS I am a native also from ND

  • @willienadeau Thumbs up on Native blood....brother! My Native roots are deep in AZ.

  • Is this not just the purest song? Love that intro... God, to be a kid again and here this sitting in the back of the car... MAN I miss those days!

  • @nobreakfastplease keep him. you found a keeper :)

  • :D

  • This song sures brings back a lot of memories.

    Thank you.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • This song still applies to my feelings about my wife of 29 years. GREAT song!

  • @ir1956ish

What happened to her at year 30?

  • @tomwalker389 , we've only been married 29 years. I can try to remember to get back to you around our 30th anniversary and update you, if you'd like! lol

  • Wish i would have married the boy that thought of me this was

  • i love this song it came ont he radio like amonth ago andi never knew who sung it i know more songs and artist than my mom i hate the music of today if i hear a new song of today i wouldnt knwo or care who sung it but if u put a classi cone on im sure to know it most people my age are stuck on the music of today .great song.this is real music .

  • Why can't people think like this anymore? Now it's all about clothing, looks, body image. It's sad.

Everyone who wishes people still thought (and sang) about women like this, thumbs up.

  • @guineapiglover123 agreed!

  • @guineapiglover123 I agree. It's when people wrote songs about the intimate things in life. Now it's all about bitches and hos, drugs, the list goes on sadly. And back in the day it was: musicians/composer first, entertainer second, Now it's all entertainer and no talent as musicians. And don't forget the music sampling (stealing others music) because most can't read music let alone write music.

  • @guineapiglover123

"Now it's all about clothing, looks, body image. It's sad."

I AGREE. ...And you can mostly "thank"

the stupid ..MUSIC VIDEO ERA.. that began around "84/'85 for bringing us to the present sad state of affairs we find ourselves in now!!

  • @guineapiglover123 People do sing of women like this. If you don't know that, you're looking in all of the wrong places.

  • @shelovesrockandroll

I was mostly directing that rant at many popular rap songs.

Good music is still being produced, and I support those up-and-comers.

  • @guineapiglover123 If you support the up-and-comers do them a favor and not feed the pop/rap fame by talking about them. It's the only way.

  • @guineapiglover123 You might like Bruno Mars.

  • @guineapiglover123 You are so right- it's like England Dan and John Ford just morphed their thoughts into this as well!

  • @guineapiglover123

agreed - thankfully, i'm blessed to have a man that feels just this way about me.. :)

  • @guineapiglover123 I promise you that people still do....at least some of us. I always tell my wife that my first real memory of her was of this shy girl with absolutely stunning eyes. Knew the first time I saw those eyes that she was the woman I'd been waiting for. Three years later.....here we are waiting for our first kid.
