  • why would anyone think this was a joke? I think how often I resort to Lean Cuisines and other frozen store-bought meals loaded with salt and preservatives, and they end up in the microwave especially being a single person. So why not have real food where you do the same? I see amazon has a few outside sellers offering this, i'm giving it a try.

  • Lady start printing more copies of your book, 2011 is your year. Reddit loves you.

  • 1:53 Breakfastes. What?

  • For anyone who has ever had to adjust to cooking for only themselves, this book is a godsend. The recipes and techniques are first-rate. it got me off the drive-thru/order in habit. I'm eating healthier, tastier food now.

  • Marie is so adorable.

  • This is a pretty funny video--there doesn't seem like terribly much to talk about. So she's describing what she's doing and then she places it in the microwave and announces: so we're putting it in for 1 minute 45 seconds...and the hostess looks like she's thinking *CRAP what the hell are we going to talk about!* and's like "so..." It's especially obvious at the 7:53 mark bacon-waiting-period. Anyways, she seems like a nice woman..also HOLY CRAP you can cook jam in a microwave, never knew that.

  • the woman is very sweet!

  • she cooks 100 % in the microwave? That does not sound healthy at all!

  • the host's obvious reading is so distracting

  • Is this a joke? Lol.

  • the black lady is very sassy, kind of bitchy

  • @tlpeterson You really think so? I think she was totally professional, she kept conversation going on, she was kind and interested, even showed some enthusiasm on key moments. Well, you could tell she wasn't really interested in microwave cooking, but she did what she had to do and I wouldn't call her "bitchy".

  • it took her 10 years to write a book on how to use a MICROWAVE.

  • No, it took ten years (1975 to 1985) to develop nearly 300 recipes for ONE in the microwave from conventional cooking recipes. You can't just take a recipe for 4 or 6 and divide it to make less. The results are awful. However, now that the work has been done, you can take a recipe for one and multiple by the amount you need to make servings for more. A friend once multiplied one of the recipes by 12 for a party, and it came out great!

  • Or you could just make the large portions, eat what you can, put the rest in fridge. and microwave them when you're hungry.

  • Yes, you could do that. If you have a recipe for six, and don't mind eating the same thing six days in a row before it goes bad in the refrigerator. However, some people like a little variety in their diets.

  • I will use this for all of my dinners.
