Damn, Jerec must have been all-powerful after absorbing valley power. "Imagine someone who could destroy a star with a whisper, eradicate a solar system with a snap of his fingers, or 'think' a planet from its orbit."
My theory is that Jerec "exploded" in the Force similar to how Palps did at the end of Jedi (and Joruus C'Boath at the end of Last Command), but whatever power trapped Jedi souls in the Valley was still in effect and bled off all that extra energy into that Force "orb" that flies away from where his body landed. The other orbs are Jedi souls/Force echoes from the original thought bomb. Just a theory. :/
heh it sort of seams dark side kyle still wanted to kill him but he knew it wasnt right so he gives him his lightsaber so he would attack and kyle would kill him it just seams like a..... grey jedi thing and he uses fource lightning in jedi academy
Man...Jan Ors' actress was so cute in this...and Kyle was...err...well..Kyle. Just a regular dood. That's what was so great and engrossing about the characters in this game even if it may have been a little cheesy at times.
To this day, a milestone in computer gaming and storytelling, and a truly great videogame, and it just wouldn't have been the same without the live action cutscenes.
I got so excited when I beat this game when I was little...I'll never forget!
Its kinda sad, because you just don't get games that have this level of story telling in it any more. To this day, I haven't seen a good one since 3 or 4 years ago.
aint i right about this, if he kills Jerec without Jerec has a weapon/lightsaber, if katarn kills him, doesnt he turn to the darkside? it says so in EP 3 that its against the jedi rules but maybe its not the same *story ''jedi council* thing as in the movies
Yes, killing an unarmed man for vengeance is a darkside act. He wouldn't become fully darkside/ evil, but twice in one week is a bad sign.
Kyle did three smart things. 1. He didn't play by Jerec's game. 2. Kyle didn't act from fear or anger, he's calm and in control. 3. He gave Jerec a chance. Not just to defend himself, but to not fight. He didn't have to pick up the lightsaber. Granted, he didn't seem like they type to surrender, but still.
Hell even being angry isn't a pure darkside thing, Mace Windu incorporated anger/fury into his saber technique(channeling it but still controlling it).
Youre evil if you hack people down for fun, but some people need to die. Kyle did what he had to, and he did it like a professional. Nuthin evil about it.
this is the best ending EVER. better than the movies. and how is a jedi or sith ever defenseless? they have the force. kill em while you have the chance
Kyle is victorious over Jerec, and instead of possessing the power of the fallen jedi residing in the Valley, as Jerec would have done, the spirits of all those jedi are released from their captivity and go... (insert guess here).
Jerec died, so his power/spirit is released along with all of the jedi who were trapped within the Valley of the Jedi.
Because that´s just what Jedi and Sith do after they died! They become one with the force! Like Obi Wan! *starts to hum the jedi-melody with a faraway look in the eyes*

Could Darth Sidious even imagine such things?

This game is one of deares memories of my childhood. I beat this game during the school glasses 2-6 three times, and it was every time awesome.
I don't know what faschinate me in this game, maybe perfeckt gameplay, starwars music, story what was darker than in movies?
I still hope lucasarts will make the fifth Jedi Knight game because sequals was awesome too(but maybe not as awesome as the original).
Except the story, Force Unleashed didn't make me feel that is what i wanted to.
Battery20678 2 years ago 3
I didn't play the game..but i got hold of the Dark Forces: Jedi Knight (and a couple of other Kyle Katarn's stories) in audiobook format.
The storyline is awesomely awesome.
Wished this was an actual movie....Thanx dude for these great uploads!
It really felt like another whole new Star Wars movie altogether! and Jan Ors is so damn hot!

EXACTLY right, the jedi are often just fools.
Hell even being angry isn't a pure darkside thing, Mace Windu incorporated anger/fury into his saber technique(channeling it but still controlling it).
