It's okay but it lacks the panache of the original version, but that's my opinion. saying that; I used to enjoy Janey's Radio 2 show in the early hours of saturday morning a few years ago. probably do a better job than Steve( really really love the show) Wright does anyway.
I'm a yank who learned about Dean from 1978's Lucky Stars when I was stationed in England and loved it then, as now. Amazing since I grew up in the Tri-state area that he's from but had never heard of him til then. Please tell me, who is Janey Lee though? And Cola Boy? Thanks!
Hiya, We saw you @ 'The Met', Bury 24.07.09 & thought you sang 'Lucky Stars' better 'On Your Own' with all of 'Your Fans' joining in with you!! *You're a 'Lucky Star'! XxX
@DeanFriedman I've been a fan since 1977 when a high school friend told me to get your first album. Did your cousin live in Merrick, NY?. My friend told me she lived next door to your cousin. You are a great singer, songwriter and recording artist. Thank you for the great music. Brian
Duuuuude..... WTF? In 1978, Dean Friedman was about as big as Bruce Springsteen. Why does he need to demean himself like this in 2003? What went wrong?
I've got Denise singing this with Dean (live) on Top of the Pops from late 70's on video tape, its excellent. Once I have proper equipment to transfer onto pc i will post it on youtube.
A georgious song, its the best xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sorry, didn't like this at all. As someone else said, the original was cheesy, yet still a classic, but this is dire.

Janey isn't just from Steve Wright's radio show but she was also the lead singer of Cola Boy who charted back in 1991 with "7 Ways To Love".

That would be really nice, I've been watching out for it for ages now.
They only seem to be showing two TOTP2s a day on "Dave" so it could take forever otherwise.
