Yeah, Possessed albums are way more death metal than Scream Bloody Gore. Look, Possessed may have coined the term but Death created the trademark death metal sound more or less. Besides, I remember Schuldiner saying in an interview that Venom were truly the first inspiration for death metal aswell as black metal. So, Possessed coined the term but were more thrash than death. Death metal is the house that Chuck Schuldiner built, m'kay?
