If you played about with the car's gearing I imagine you could get decent speed- the torque on that hot bulb engine would be plenty enough to pull tall gearing

The best thing would be an old Munktells engine which is a cross between a hot-bulb and a diesel (it has a diesel injection pump but is a hot-bulb engine). They will run up to 2500 rpm.

I wouldn't imagine that it would go very fast considering that engine has a very limited RPM range, interesting though.

Hot bulb engines can use even vegetable oil and are very reliable, coz of low RPM. 100 year old hot bulb can work now like a new one. But they are too heavy. I have idea to make hot bulb engines from special ceramics to make them lighter, but same reliable and all-eating.
