EPIC game. What a memories! this was one of my first PS games.

Has it all: the graphics, the soundtrack, the intro, the amazing cars, the narrator. All the epicness. :')

Ridge Racer Type 4 was the second game I had for my PS1, Dad and I rented it, loved it, so he bought it for me. Still play it every now and again on my PS3 for the hell of it.

this game was amazing. first game i got on a playstation and i kept playin it every day for 4 months tryin to clear out every car possible. i even got the pacman car and the 2 rocket cars and the tiny funny cars also.

Graphics on R4 were incredible. Squeezed every last drop out of the PS1. I remember my jaw hitting the floor when I saw fireworks start during one of the night courses. Unbelievable.

try doing the course with out skidding (apcecpt for the last bend) if u skid your faster round the corner yes but slower in the long run, what ever you do do not double skid on 1:09-1:10 lose sooo much power... w8 a mo when did i become a gaming critic :P u came 1st n i would love to know what ur best time is in that car. i thought that car did 180 or is that coz mine is in kmph not mph idk still if u cn gt 1st then thats gr8

@lycanshadowvalentine well its on psn soon and if i feel like camera recording i will try to uncover some of my skills from ten years ago:) omg my times were unmatched aswell. only ever drive with DRT btw, they are faster and it feels good when you beat a hard challenge

@weatherallc05 I only ever drive drift too there are just some corners that it's just faster to us a drift car than a grip on but if you try going round some easy corners without drifting you go faster in the long run. Espeshaly with the faster cars, It realy helps doing the... erm o dear i forgot what you call it... boss car things... trial run or something? ye any way i went back on this game a week a go an most of my skill has dribbled out of my hands :( some still remains though XD
