@JesusVillaChuy Make sure the fan clutch is not made in China. Buy one made in U.S.A. like the one from NAPA. I bought one from Advance Auto Parts and it was made in China and the one from Autozone was made in Poland. Those countries use poor quality, inferior metals. My NAPA clutch is almost 3 years old and is still totally quiet.
not tranny, its the fan clutch, thats what my mechanic told me, its the same noise my 2002 ford explorer makes, I thought this was my truck in the video.
They fan clutch has been replaced since then and it indeed was bad. The assembly was always engaged therefore creating constant drag on the motor. In this video I floored it that's why it "seems" to take too long to shift, but the transmission is fine. The old fan clutch had bearings falling out of it when I finally got it off to install the new one.
High miles and corrosion after the bearing seal of the fan clutch has come off letting some of the bearings fall out. The clutch was bad and the truck is as quiet as new.
would you get bad mpg with this fan making this noise?

@DodgeAriez Yes, because it is creating more drag on the engine which causes you to use more fuel.
