  • There are many great Bluesmen ..... Ronnie just happens to be one of them. I feel bad that I had only recently heard of him while in Tahoe area visiting my sister... and to say that I grew up listening to blues in the Mike Bloomfield, Johnny Winter era. Shame on me Rock and Roll took me for a while. But one Always fall back to good blues. Guess I'll have to make up my loss by listening & sharing more of RBB tunes with friends.

  • Everyone copies every one so shut the hell up people.

  • he a great guitarist but someone here is a shit clapper

  • It Doesn't Matter Who Came First, who wrote what or who played what lick first, what does matter is the soul and feel of the player and whether or not he can touch you with his music, its obvious that Ronnie Baker Brooks can do that ,but truth be told he is no SRV and that is a fact, SRV reinvented the blues for this generation and the reason was because he was the complete package, his playing is light years better than anyone else including Buddy Guy and Clapton who he both blew off the stage

  • Yeh,Ronnie rocks! As for the guy who ask for any other great players,How about Kenny Neal and Larry Garner.

Oh yeh--and for all you guitar freaks, you DONT need to be a fret wanker to be a great bluesman --its the gaps between the notes that create feel!

  • @Bluebaker100 Touche! My friend

  • What is this ...who is he as good as stuff???? He's as good as Ronnie Baker Brooks...and I say that's good enough for me...I love this guys music, class and style. If any of you are any better please step forward, I would love to hear your stuff...ty

  • Ronnie Baker Brooks is strictly top shelf on the blues circuit- he can jam.

  • Went to see Ronnie Baker Brooks at The Clearwater Theater in West Dundee,IL,last night.Anyone who's a tried 'n true blues fan had better catch Ronnie whenever he can,'cause I'll tell ya it was one HELLUVA kick-ass concert!!!This guy's a legend, just like his dad!!

  • R.B BROOKS IS CLOSE TO BEING A LIVING LEGEND..CHICAGO BLUES AT ITS

BEST.....DAD DID A GOOD JOB..IT IS NOT HOW YOU PLAY, IT IS ABOUT HOW YOU FEEL

  • this gentlemen and Sherman Robertson are my new favourite bluesmen,if you have any of your own let me know, anybody who plays the blues is okay with me.Peace

  • @Professorvan Amen brother...wanna start a holy war say something about srv on here he was a great player but srv and double trouble were at best a cover band...I stumbled on ronnie because of this vid...did some research my he kills all his stuff is off the charts...

  • Very good guitarist and good bassist as well!

  • Professor nailed it on the head...if you ever have the chance to see Ronnie play...go check him out. This is his style, not a cheap initation of SRV. Ronnie is high energy blues all night. Even his slow jams rock! Over 90 % of what he plays are originals, but when he plays covers they are 100% RBB...his dad is a legend, but Ronnie is much more gifted than his old man (although he will never admit that....) Keep the blues alive!

  • Great! Too many people trying to take credit/lay blame. Just enjoy the blues.

  • Great song, you do it really good, my guitar teacher and good friend Jerry Beach wrote this song.

  • pardon me ??

if this is true, please educate me, this is in my blues top ten!! -- hell top three.

  • Refer to the following link, it shows the name of the song and the writer being Jerry Beach who is from Shreveport, LA.

  • Look it up in Wikipedia, it will show writer name

  • Sounds good I prefer horns though

  • wow ronnie baker brooks trying to sound like srv, hahahahaha!!! thats soo funny, hmmmm,IGNORANCE is DIFINITELY BLISS for you ced1320

  • Thanks for educating the masses, because some clowns have the notion that blues started with srv, whats funny is srv would have told them differently, and he always tried to educate them about where he got his chops and his inspiration from.

  • Amen, Professorvan! I saw Ronnie do this at a Hurricane Katrina benefit @ FitzGerald's in Chicago a few years ago. The man is amazing.

Love this BB King quote: "I've said that playing the blues is like having to be black twice. SRV missed on both counts, but I never noticed."

Check out another version of this tune from a great blues man, David Gerald. HOT HOT HOT!!!!!

  • Do you have even a clue? Do you even know who made the song a classic in the first place? If you did you'd know that SRV spent a good part of his career playing ALBERT KING's licks. For that matter, so has just about every other guitarist that was influenced by the first of the three kings.

    Think before you type...
