Ron Banks would often sit in during our radio show The Old School House Party with Gerald McBride on Mix 92.3 in Detroit. I videotaped him the last time he was in the studio with us. He was a really great guy. The entertainment world has lost an untouchable talent.
I saw another tape where Lenny led this song. Now Lenny and Ron is gone, with Willie being the only original of the group left. Hello to all of the Dramatics and their families..
@CheckMate657879 , It wasn't stated in disrespect, it was a noted comment. I have been a Dramatic fan since the 1970's, so i do know. I know that they deserved a larger stage to make there famous moves. Yes they do put on an excellent show, I've seen them many times.
So CheckMate65789 again, yes the stage did appear too small for a group such as The Dramatics or any other group of their status.
And if you don't like this comment either, too bad.
friscoboxing....if you get a chance, stop by my channel, and check out my rendition of "In The Rain"...and let me know what you think. I'm a second-tenor,and I've listened too and sang every Dramatic song ever recorded.Since you obviously have a connection to these "Legends"...I'm sure you'll appreciate what I've done w/ "In The Rain". Be sure and leave me a message/comment. "Thanks Bro".
Frisco, do you know how many of the original members of this group are still with the group? how many of them are dead? how many just gave up altogether?
it depends on how you use "original" the original lineup made one album together, the lineup after that made many albums together. Both lineups had great hits, of course none bigger than the first album which had Wee Gee Howard on lead for In The Rain and Whatcha see is Whatcha get. He has passed away. Out of the second lineup Lenny Mayes is the only one who's passed though Larry "Squirrel" Demps only performs every blue moon with the group. So there are two new guys with the second line up.
and Wenzell who is in Squirrels place has been with the group for 15 years. Michael Brock is only a couple years into it but has proven to be very worthy of the legendary group.
two of them are not with the group Lenny passed away and Squirrel retired but most the leads on those songs is LJ Reynolds though Lenny sings most of the beginning of I'm going by the stars in your eyes" "and I panicked" is mostly all LJ on lead.
oh so you know Michael Brock. Great new addition to this legendary group. I've been around these men for many many years and am glad they found Michael Brock. They are sounding better than they have in many years.
they have always sounded good who was greater than lenny mayes i am sad that this team had to lose a member that fitted like a glove i'm sure this guy michael is good but don't belabor what this group has done long before this guy joined get dramatics live and you will see it's a concert in 2002 before lenny passed it's nice
thank you i will check it out!!! ( :

it was. for a better videos of them go to our other youtube channel - oldcitysf -
there's some really good videos of them live from our show this past june.

bladenukem - The stage looks too small? What does that have to do with anything?
And, the stage looks too small - for who - YOU?
The Dramatics look they had enough room to STILL sing the hell out this song, almost 40 years after the fact.
What you know about it?
