  • what happen to the video about stuttering vocals in structure, after i finally got the video that use to be o digi tv is gone & i cant find it any where

  • 3:17 what's the key command for duplicating like that?

  • uhmm...what software is that,,

  • @charls519 bro, pro tools.

  • @IyeFilms Good point lol

  • wow! awesome! definitely gonna use this tip

  • HOLA AMIGO TE AGRADESERIAMOS MUCHO SI LOS TUTOS LO SACARAS EN SPANISH DIGO EN ESPAÑOL GRACIAS .

  • I like to use a pattern noise gate. No editing needed. :)

  • wegions.

  • This guy is a Protooler wooler fooler mcooler gooler tooler hooler dooler stooler in a world full of NOOBERS!!

  • Gosh. That's fabulous. Before, I tried to get exactly the same results in orchestra live recordings ... you had to do all the slicing manually and then time-stretch every single slice to make the timing tighter and more accurate. It was soo annoying. Cool tool!

  • that shit was dope!!!!!

  • Where I can download that song? it's cool

  • what is he using as an interface?

  • @ProToolsJewel Mbox 2 Micro USB Audio Interface

  • cool song at the beginning. what's the name?

  • awesome tutorial...answered alot of questions for me

  • how is he using protools hd on a laptop?

  • @elvolutionstudios cuz he's a baller! haha

  • damn ..tight i never knew that the elastic properties was this cool

  • those are some nice headpones, anyone know what kind those are?

  • do Protools works with this hardware...

    EMU 1820 creative sound card

    M-Audio Axiom 49 midi controler

  • nope

  • can i do this with freeware?

  • is pro tools only for mac???

  • @Hacker2090 no.

  • it not working on windows 7 it give me an error

  • @Hacker2090 Oh I dont know about windows 7, but any other windows it should work on.

  • i see....what is pro tools used for is they for making beats or for recording????

  • LOL

  • either, anything you want to record, it will record

  • it's used for everything audio related. It can be used just for making beats but that's kinda wasting it. It's a real powerhouse when it comes to recording audio and mixing and audio processing and editing as a whole. It can also work with video but that's not it's strong side.

  • no, its not

  • Works with Windows too

  • Hi listen i have a E-mu 0404 usb 2.0 audio interface and pro tools ask`s about M-audio hardware !! what can i do to make it work with mine ?tnx

  • pro tools only works with M-Audio and Digidesign hardware

  • what is the advantage of this over the TCE tool?

  • There is a much simpler way to do a stutter...

Should you be interested just post a comment or drop a message in my profile...

  • Plus... if these guy's know audio so well... why is the dialog so out of sync?

    Terrible audio... I'm NOT sold!

  • If you listen to ANY modern music you will hear some stutter effects done in electronic/pop music, its just another effect to throw into the mix. As for the dialog out of sync... nothing seems out of sync to me.

  • NOT in the music I listen to or write! I think it sounds really ridiculous and it's for children to giggle and say "wow" he he...

Stuttering is a SPEECH IMPEDIMENT and it's accepted as such by the majority so try again with your ideologies of MODERN he he... Heck, you can stutter with your voice if your good enough to utilize it like an auctioneer...

You'll just go and play live and suck... FUCK your stutter BS!

  • And then try to do it live like it sounds in the studio he he...

What musical value does stuttering have?

    Isn't stuttering a speech impediment?

  • my god

  • Omg.....is there a beginners tutoriol with guy doing it? This is soooo complicated..

  • danm yeh pro tools is fucking complicated... I KNOW A WAY EASIER WAY to do this THEN THIS SHIT. LOL

  • it is quite complicated... a lot of commands to learn too... but this vid is not only about the stuttering but more on how to use elastic time which is a great tool for other things too...

  • I also find it sometimes pretty unnecessarily complicated but you just need to sit down by yourself and figure shit out by yourself, not by somebody showing it to you. It is considered an industry standart so if you want to be in this industry you better learn how to work with pro tools. But as I said the easiest way is start with it early, not with easier DAW's and before you know it you'll be mad good at it.

  • and thisis version 7.4,imagine what you can do in 8 with all that elastic pitch thing, and the apparently refined midi section..

  • I prefer Ableton Live, good tutorial though...

  • were do you get this softwear

  • you buy a piece of digidesign hardware....

  • este pata es un genio en la ediccion, mis respetos en su presicion de compas al momneto de editar

  • This guy is cool. He moves a tad fast, but if you are slightly familiar with pro tools it makes sense. His energy is good, makes me want to learn and apply it. THANKS A BUNCH!!

  • who the fuck is this guy? YOU ARE A MONSTER SIR!

  • lol

  • You're amazing. =)

  • Chester dad lier...

  • He is Chester Bennington father?? jojo!!

  • This is fucking ridiculously easier in Live.

  • even easier in logic 9

  • could explain how? thanks...

  • yeah, when you are processing your audio, just change the divisions in the transport bar (1/16, 1/8, 1/12, etc....)

then isolate the section you want to slice and option click with the scissors tool (divide multiple). it will slice up your audio section into the values you set in the transport bar. then just select them all and adjust lengths simultaneously. or grab a slice and option drag it creating stutters. super easy, i can make rhythmically complex stutter patterns in seconds.

  • to quantize transients, extend regions independently, etc.... use the new flex tool... plenty of tutorials on that available online

  • This is soooo much easier to do in Ableton

  • HELL YEAH!

  • that sound so sexy

  • as cool as this seems, i know there's like no way this is actually legit. i've tried to to this in pro tools 8 and stretching notes KILLS the sound quality the longer the note is stretched. anyone have this problem too or am i just doing something wrong?

  • No i have the same problem. What works best for me is the melodyne plug in. Its the best thing ever made for vocals. i even use it for instruments and its sweet :)

  • well, considering they're trying to sell pro tools, i would assume he's got a freakin beasttttttt computer.

  • well i dont think he's just stretching the note. im sure there's some other production being done for the video because when you actually do this in pro tools it really ruins to tonal quality of the note. i only use elastic pitch to make some slight fixes in guitar playing. otherwise i don't think it's very useful. my computer is a lot better than a little macbook too.

  • I've got a power mac quad core, my results are about the same as his

  • i would suggest making sure that you are using the elastic audio feature and not just using the TCE to stretch your regions

  • no elastic audio is default in pro tools 8. it's common sense that an audio wave being stretched out so far is unrealistic. it has the same effect as stretching a slinky. it creates distance between the wave peaks. i love pro tools to death but people need to realize some features are just too good to be true. however, elastic audio is great for fixing timing and some SLIGHT stretches.

  • nice

  • yea dude what the fuck i got a trojan

  • im going to hack this programma so soon man, its fantastic if you're a DJ and you need some vocals for your songs, im exually a hardstyle DJ, so i can use them realley good, awesome programme m8! ;)

  • THANKS!!!

  • This is so raw!!!!!

  • How would you do that using Ableton Live 7? I understand the stutter part but how would I extend the region?

  • awesome

  • Thanks

  • is this out of the box pro tools or r u using additional plugins?

  • I bet he's using digidesign plugs like the tape sim and velvet

  • How do you duplicate vocals? For example, I record an artist and he or she lays down 5 vocal audio tracks for the 8 bar hook of the song. How do I duplicate the hook to land on beat 16 bar later in the song? So instead of the artist having to sing the entire hook 1 or 2 more times I should be able to just copy & paste or duplicate the first good take and put it again further in the song. How would I set up the session? Does it have to be in grid mode? Does the BPM need to be locked?

  • highlite the region you want to copy, click edit in top left corner, then duplicate. Or you could just click ctrl+d on windows. hope this helps

  • this video is helpful but im bearly gona buy an mbox mini i think it comes with pro tools le 7.4 but i just want to noe how to just record like no elastic thing or anything i have the songs written down but im not sure is it on 7.3 or 7.4 that you can like do the addlibs and stuff like that please get back at me oh and what software do i install first the pro toolsignition pack or the pro tools le the black disc?

  • Go to digidesign web page and look for 'support'. They're pretty good at answering you. Good luck:}

  • ye man thanks alot for this, your explenation was clear and understood well, i found this messing around witht the elastic audio, didnt make as good use of it as you, but now i have an idea of what i can do with i will implement it well haha. oh an i think that its only available on 7.4

  • Is elastic time editing in pro tools 7.4 only or is it in 7.3 as well?

  • Elastic Time is only in 7.4 or better.

  • Awesome thanks for this! :D
