Aside from the fact that all of the voices in the Slayers english dub match their characters perfectly!! (Aside from Xellos, but even that's been corrected)

Lisa Ortiz is about as diverse and talented as you're going to get on the female side of english voice acting. I think she played Lina Inverse very well, it's not her fault that the script for the show translated over inaccurately.
How rude of me. Crispin Freeman (Zelgadis) has amazing diversity as well and Veronica Taylor (Amelia) is very talented too. There are bad VA's and good VA's and these people are certainly the later. It's an amazing accomplishment to deal with the horrible translations as well as finding the best way to sync up english speech with what was originally ment to be japanese lip sync animation and make it look believable. These people deserve far more credit than they get.
sorry its really choppy, I'm trying to learn to record/split OGM files. I recorded this using the webcam option (did you guess?) - oh well, at least now there's SOME kind of recording of the ragna blade spell on youtube :)

No doubt these people do their job as good as they can. They are professionals after all ^^
But this doesn't change fact that english dubbing sucks, even if it's not the actors' fault.
