that tv is epic i have one and i couldnt be hapier with it, i use it for gaming (pc ofc) and i got to say its rly rly good. mine even gave me a free phone (some thing company was ofering) :)
I have the TV myself I know a lot of people is hating on this TV because most people say it is not the best quality of gaming but at the same time it is better then most LCD TVs so I am enjoying minds. The only thing I didn't like was the stand and the sound quality but that can be fix by buying great speakers. Other than that it is a nice TV for a desk setup or a batroom setup.
@ramo1050 Could you tell me if this monitor has a headphone out jack? so you get the sound from the HDMI from xbox then out thru headphones of external speakers that use the headphone jack - Thanks in advance:)
You said it was very nice of Samsung to throw in the HDMI cord, but isn't it required unless you have an external cord? The little boy said to his mom, "Hey mom, how the f!#$! do I plug this in?"
@Audzic4 No size is too big imo. I used to have 19" widescreen and thought it was plenty. then I got a 24" and after a month or so I got used to it and wanted an even bigger size. I have three 24" now because monitor's are so cheap now but yeah, 27" is fine. 1920*1080 on a 27" is decent, but much better on smaller screens (pixel density etc).
does your monitor do 1920x1080 with hdmi? I haven't been able to run mine on hdmi @ 1680x1050 anything higher than that and it looks really gray and blurry. When i connect the vga cable i run it @ 1920x1080, I thought that hdmi also supported 1080p or do you know the fix for this monitor.
@points2shopPROOF I don't know if you received an answer yet but this is also happening with other people as well. What you need to do is into the source menu and change the NAME of the specific source, to something like DVI or PC. Hope this helps.
i saw this tv at this one store next to my house i like the size but i was sad that they didnt have one in led and i also read that the response time is 1 milesecond
Mine is a 27 hp moniter :D it's intended as a moniter but it has hdmi in so i can use it with ps3 and scientific Atlanta cable box for optimum :D six core pc! you beat me in case and graphics card but i beat you in everything else for the pc
I have recently bought this monitor but I'm having some problems with it. I'm using a Radeon HD 6970 video card, but the monitor doesn't seem to display 1080p correctly... I tried applying a hack ( editing the name of the HDMI input and assigning PC to it ), which did improve the text / image quality a bit, but the resolution seems off track... It doesn't fit the entire screen. It has a 2" in thick border around it which is just crap... NOTE: I'm using a HDMI high-speed cable.
@DarKaleem Hi! Actually, I found the problem. It seems that certain Samsung devices have some settings issues and need some additional tweaking. In my case, I had to select HDMI as the monitor input in the monitor settings and assign PC as the source to it. This did make the image and fonts look better but the screen refused to go Full HD. The resolution problem was solved in the end by setting the graphic's card scaling to "Overscan". Now, everything is working and looking great!
I just bought this monitor, and I have a problem with it.. The angle adjuster is loose, so the screen just flips over if I place it vertically, basically because the screen is too heavy.. Do you have the same problem, or should I go where I bought it and get another one?
i have (unfortunately) this LCD, and i can tell you, this monitor is good only for TV/GAMES, for graphic design in my example (photoshop, cad etc) it's the crappiest choice ever ... i had to buy new one (different one) and this using as a TV.
Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful, big and have comfortable screen, but ONLY for TV and GAMES, as a computer monitor - it's world's worst choice ever ;) so be careful ...
This monitor is awesome. I don't know if this is just a problem I'm having, but I have a really loose power connection on my monitor from the accompanying cord. If I tap the screen just a little, it turns off. Do you have this problem, ramo?
@ramo1050 Oh, one more thing (sorry to bother you!) Did your power connection from the cord to the TV click, or is it just a tight fit? I hope the latter, because if not, that would mean mine is defective =( Thanks again!
@Poundage2794 Hi, I see you posted a month ago so don't know if you've worked this out. But I had exactly the same problem so took it back & the guy had a look at it to make sure nothing was actually wrong, then said it was probably that we didn't push the plug in far enough to the unit(!) Once you've placed it in to the socket, you need to give it another shove to make sure it's in properly. The guy at the store said several people had done the same thing.
@TheBlbblb I just ordered this exact same TV for my bonus-room, and I plan on playing my Xbox 360 on it. It was a great deal on newegg.com. My mom just got a 40" Samsung for downstairs, too. Before you say I'm rich, let me say that we've been saving up for a new TV or two for a LONG time, and you can't beat the Black Friday deals! We currently have a 50-pound, 27" behemoth tube TV from 1990 sitting down there. We're all happy to get an upgrade, LOL.
@macboy4556 Pretty darn close! It totaled out to just under $1,100. I bought this TV with my money, and my sister and mom split the cost for the 40-incher.
I just purchased the same exact monitor from newegg they had it on sell!
I have a 23in dell and very unhappy with the monitor and dell in general i have a xps 625 bored way out but i spent 3 on the dell and my new build i spent 2,500 with a evga x58 classified mb and a bloomfield i7 with evga 275 and is way nicer as u can tell.could you give you opinion on a cheap and nice cam really need a new one!other one hit the payment doing 90 lol but love the set up great vid keep em coming!
