Rocky Patel on his Rocky Patel Decade Cigars

Rocky Patel is the man! I was really lucky one time I actually had the honor of meeting him and shaking his hand when I went to Two Guys Smoke Shop in Salem, NH. By far his best cigar that I have experienced would be the Edge. It's packed solid, great earthy-sweet flavor, long lasting. Why don't some of you send me a message telling me about different cigars you've smoked and why you like them...I'm always interested in hearing about different brands.

Just tried my first Decade tonight. WOW. So smooth, Great body, smoke and taste.

I was loving the Acids, Drew Estates and Macanudos untill I tried this one. A1 on my books+

I've had some Rocky cigars (Cuban Blend, Honduran Classic) which were absolutely horrible. Honduran classic had wrapper bleeding (dye left on lips) suggestive of a "fake" maduro. However, others have been incredible. In particular, Nicarao and Cruz Real (mid-priced cigars) have very unique flavors and are great everyday smokes. 1992's and Edge are also good, but for the flavors present in them I prefer Padron and Fuente.

@Aminomo Cuban Blend & Honduran Classic are knock-off, B-rate crap. I doubt they are even made in Rocky's Factory or any of his contracted factories. BTW, the Padron Anniversario 1926 was the best cigar I have smoked to date.

I love most of the Rocky Patel line of cigars. I have a humidor that is exclusively for RP cigars. All of my other cigars are seperated from these. I love the maduro blends, the Edge, missle maduro and the 1990 blends. Keep on keepin on, Rocky. I enjoy seeing you at the cigar herfs.

I am hooked on the Decade. It is the finest Full Bodied Smoke I have ever had the privilege to enjoy. Rocky Patel had me with the Vintage 92' and followed suit with the Sungrown, but the Decade is far the best! It's funny I enjoy Medium Bodied Cigars for the most part, and I thought this was a strong Medium bodied smoke, until my favorite shop owner corrected me. Does anyone else taste a light chocolate note in the after taste with this besides me?
