Come on , give this guy a break , he was hiding in the closet , so his family would not hear him talking by himself while doing the video...You can do it man , get out of the closet...
I think one thing that some people tend to forget is that 100's of wars have been fought and millions killed (19 yr old kids) because countries have attacked one another to get the others resources. I don't get caught up in the cost. I try to look at the bigger picture. No one can own the sun. Solar gets better every decade. I believe one day the world will run on it.
i hardly belive that you will make your money back besides that crap is not a dollar it is selling for about 2-5 dollars same price as any other panel. 1# shipping costs 2# how many people are really buying them 3# how good are they. Many other factors apply like say taxes or permits wages and this is for the factory. I do have solar panels but i get cheap monocristline panels buy from off companys
That's just it, one day you'll be able to buy vinyl siding that is also a solar panel. Might not catch tons of sunlight but you will get some sunlight at all hours during the day. DIRT CHEAP :)
I invented a breakthrough source of energy, which contradicts the law of conservation of energy. I have a PROOF that there are electrodynamic phenomena which contradict the law of energy conservation. It will cost about $1200 to make a 6 kW generator in mass production. Value of the energy produced yearly about $5400. I am looking for $300 000 for a prototype and for $3M for patents.
They are certainly cheaper to produce. Thin Film from First Solar has a manufacturing cost of around $1 a watt. However the efficiencies are about half that of a conventional cell.
And the technology isn't Nano Solar it's CIGS (Copper Indium Gallium and Selinide)
You have your figures wrong. Thin film Photovoltaic is only about half as efficient at converting sunlight to electricity as monocrystiline PV. It is cheaper, thinner, easier to mount, but it is not as durable as Monocrystaline PV modules at this time. To install PV on your residence, you want a top performer because you have a limited amount of surface area, so Thin Film is not a good option. No doubt, there will be advances in the future that will change all this.
As a solar installer, Nano has several issues. It is thin and easily damaged, I question your data about productivity levels. The reason panels are the standard, is that they have history and are the work horse of the solar industry, tried, improved and durable. Yes panels are clunky and expensive, but it is what we have that we know works.
lets not toss good things out because they arent what we are used to. Isn't an exposed voltiac cell easily damaged? Thats why they put them into panels, same thing could be done with this im sure. Hell, they might even come up with a better idea to keep the product from being damaged.
its flimsy! even the foil when left to element will only last for a short time this is the problem with it and if you encase it in palstic its efficency drops but i hope they can solve this
A google search of "elevator return energy", found that modern elevator systems in tall buildings do have special drive mechanisms that generates return energy when the elevator is going down. Thus, the complete needed technology for storing residential solar energy in a special heavy-concrete-weighted solar energy storage elevator is already available. The "overall energy" use for tall building elevators is very small ( just the cost of resistance and inefficiency ). No explosive hydrogen.
you made a mistake, while oil reserves is oil that can be readily extracted from the environment, oil RESOURCES, like the oil under the arctic, is oil that that cannot currently be extracted with current technology. the arctic oil will not be able to be extracted for at least another 50 years, and by then fossil fuel use will have decreased dramatically.
Can't wait for this type of technology to be mass produced. As of now this technology is not as efficient as photovoltaic panels.Someday they will be. My only complaint is that when i contacted a few makers of this technology they are only Into mass commercial use & not residential use.
Solar cell technology developed by the University's Nanomaterials Research Centre will enable New Zealanders to generate electricity from sunlight at a 10th of the cost of current silicon-based photo-electric solar cells.
SO that's 10X more power per dollar (its always relative to money)
Right! Everything he says about Nanosolar as well as regular solar is just flat out wrong!
Payback in 3 years for Regular Solar?Wrong! Payback in one month for Nanosolar? so my power bill is $250 a month so I can get a system and never have a bill again for $250 dollars? Wrong! Nanosolar does not have a 10-25x higher output.. When tested in 2006 they were said to be 14% efficient the company claims 19%. Regular cells have a 12% to about 19% efficiency.
The reason this isn't happening faster is coz the Gloabalist Corporations have kept it quiet for SO LONG that there's an alternative to OIL!
Foil backed solar cells have been round for a LONG time! Like since the 70's!
There's been a conspiracy to keep us reliant on the fosil fuel grid when the grid COULD be reliant on US! Each home could produce enough electicity for household requirements & have enough left to run an electric car or two! Get real! Make it happen! Buy some PV!
There is and never has been a conspiracy! I guess the people committing this conspiracy just decided to stop buying off patents and killing inventors of alternative energies..I guess they just decided to let there be solar power, wind, nuclear, hydro, geothermal electricity generation and Electric, hybrid and the coming Fuel cell cars.... all alternative energies... guess that throws your little conspiracy right out the window.
Not so! There has ALWAYS been a conspiracy to bury technologies that would allow people to produce their OWN power. The idea is to keep us reliant on the 'grid'.
If you believe that Corporate interests wouldn't bury technologies, that's up to you but I'd say you're being naive.
The price of something falls dramatically when it goes into MASS production!
& that has been their ploy, to tell us it's 'too expensive' still!
Show me a single fact with evidence that any alternative energy source has ever been buried, Patent bought out, inventor killed etc!
There are well over a dozen manufacturers of solar cells and have been for years. No one buried them. They have had every opportunity to make and sell their products but the fact is it was not competitive with cheaper fossil fuels. The only reason it is becoming competitive today is subsidies and the cost of fossil fuels No conspiracy there, just economics!
oh for god's sake how can I prove something to someone who doesn't want to hear.
It doesn't have to be 'buried'. All they have to do is 'say' its too expensive to produce (which it IS if it doesn't go into mass production)
If you don't understand about mass production & how prices fall when things are mass produced then we might as well give up here. They said solar would be 'competative' when oil reached $60 a barrel. Well oil is well over $130 now so?? Oh there's no 'conspiracy'. Yeah right!
Doesn't want to hear it? I am sitting here waiting for a source that proves your conspiracy... I am all ears or eyes since I am reading. They said? who is they? So all these solar cell manufacturing companies that have been around since the 70's and the newer ones have all told themselves their own product is to expensive to produce?
You have to have buyers in mass to start producing a product in mass quantities and so far the buyers for Solar are relatively small! Simple economics!
'They' would be those who commented on these things from the 70's onwards.
The corporate model is totally interlinked & they support each other, so if something comes along that threatens one, it threatens all. Basically we're fed 'information' by the corp media & we take it as true because an 'expert' said this or that. People buy new kitchens & cars so why not solar? Its cheaper than either. In fact why aren't they built into new homes? It makes economic sense... just NOT to the corporations.
People choose to buy new cars or kitchens they have every right to spend that money on solar if they choose..but most don't you cant force them..its their money! All home builders are not huge corporations. and there are a few home builders putting solar in new homes ,but this is not free and will add approx $25,000 thousand to the cost of the house!
and there it is!! People don't 'choose' they're SOLD to. Advertising!
Nowhere NEAR $25000 for a home (although I grant you the dollar is incredibly weak at the moment)
You can build a mix of renewables into a new home & it pays for itself within 7 years on the mortgage. After 7 years you have FREE energy & think what that means at today's prices! BUT governments basically rely on the taxes from energy products to run their show. If we have free energy they'd have to find new ways to tax us.
most of your arguments are spot on. Conspiracy is to do with marketing. Large co.'s know they will lose from this so try to tread the borderline to convince (just within the bounds of legality BUT not morality) the public off renewables.
the large energy Co's have a lot to lose.
BTW do the maths...if you borrow against your mortgage your repayments of installing a renewable source in your home will (due to modern tech) be less than your regular bill ---> ie you start saving immediately.
A couple of years ago there was a study (sorry can't remember who did it or I'd put a link) anyway this study concluded that a mix of solar water heater (you'd be amazed how much energy we waste heating water) and solar PV built into a house from new, would pay for itself within 7 years. When the study was done oil cost $60 a barel. It recently went to over $125. If the 'payback' took 7 years at $60 then at $125 it would take less than half the time; i.e. 3 1/2 years then u have FREE energy!!
The government doesn't want you to have solar, wind etc? That is why they give huge Tax breaks to Utility corporation for solar and wind power as well as to individuals for alternative energy products such as Solar cells, wind power, Hybrid cars and even windows and appliances., ac/heating.
furthermore in your part of the world you could easily get enough energy from solar units to run an electric car like a Tesla! Its just a matter of having enough panels & the output is increasing year on year & oil is going up rapidly! There's no reason NOT to do this but it leaves governments in a difficult position.
The conspiracy is NOT 'marketing' solar to its full potential.
The oil cartels control most things on this planet along with the banking cartels, but its all ONE thing really.
The federal and state tax that the government gets from the consumers at the time of purchase of gasoline is set and is not dependent on the price of gas at the pump. If the Oil companies make a larger profit the government gets more tax dollars. Despite what you may think, the government makes just as much if not more off of oil than the oil companies without having to invest a dime in R&D, exploration or drilling...all they use is a vote, a pen and the law to take what they want.
yes the governments get a huge slice of their 'tax' income from energy. So its in the governments' interests to NOT encourage people to get alternative (self-reliant) energy systems.
Furthermore the 10 to 25x output was acheived in New Zealand using an ink derived from chlorophyl (do it like a plant in other words).
Perhaps you should read up before coming out with blanket statements like you know everything & everyone else is mis-informed.
Can you not read the government gives huge tax incentives.breaks for power generation companies using alternative energies and tax breaks to individuals purchasing Solar, wind, hydro power generation equipment as well as tax breaks on energy saving appliances ,windows, insulation etc.
Massey U. in New Zealand say they have a proof of concept and claim it is the most efficient ink but no facts.
Konarka Technologies has developed thin film tech and organic ink which may be printed with an ink jet printer and appears to be years ahead of them. Who gave Konarka $168 million to help develop their technology? The U.S. DOE! Head of the DOE, Sam Bodman, went to Konarka and said-"Solar technology can play a crucial role in moving toward affordable net zero energy homes and businesses"
Why do you not supply the name or a source for information on who ever did this test in New Zealand?
Nanoslar does not disclose their information(go to their site and see for your self) but did let a cell be tested by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in 2006 and it was 15% efficient about the same or less than commercially available crystalline based solar cells which are 14-19% efficient.
Nano solar cells energized with a nano laser, from a distance of a meter, and even under water/ used in energize a Atomic submarine core to charge devices like the core clock and tempature from a distance of three meters from the atomic core, safer no wires needed just a nano laser charging nano solar cells just laser ray instead of the sun light.
...I love the cause and the idea...
But your presentation is all wrong -.-
Get some confidence and don't quit. You're onto something here.
