Dude...it was DOA. Optical drive was smoked. I have a vid but I've never uploaded one before. Haha. I'm pissed, it was a sweet computer. I will probably get an i5 when I re-buy. Maybe I will wait for the update.

not on imacs, imacs only have 2 slots for ram

so basically max is 4 gb

4 gb is what I'm running and have had no problems even while running Ubuntu in VMware.

Unless you are going to be running several virtual machines at the same time or doing high end 3D or video rendering 4 gigs is more than enough.

So i called apple today to find out if i an squeeze any info out of them about any way to find out if there would be any scuff marks on my imac refurbed. Every story I have read so far says that its in perfect condition...im so nervous!!! So there was absolutely no sign of previous use with yours at all??? Sometimes they upgrade the specs for free...did they do that for ures?? Thx for the reply btw!

yes, everything works well, no hardware problems, no software problems, no cosmetic problems or anything.. this includes scratches, dents or any other

if i wouldnt know this was a refurbished product, i couldnt tell the difference from a new one
